The user enters a bunch of picks. I make sure the user hasn't already entered those picks.   • Where are the static methods in gcc's dump file.c.135r.jump

    When I run gcc with the parameter -fdump-rtl-jump, I get a dump file with the name file.c.135r.jump, where I can read some information about the intermediate representation of the methods in my C or C++ file. I just recently discovered, that the static methods of a project are missing in this dump file. Do you know, why they are missing in that representation and if there is a possibility to include the static methods in this file, too. Update (some additional information): The test program, I'm using here, is the Hybrid OpenMP MPI Benchmark. Update2: I just reproduced the problem with a serial application, so it has nothing to do with parallel sections.

  • Simaltaneous connections with PHP and SOAP?

    I'm new to using SOAP and understanding the utmost basics of it. I create a client resource/connection, I then run some queries in a loop and I'm done. The issue I am having is when I increase the iterations of the loop, ie: from 100 to 1000, it seems to run out of memory and drops an internal server error. How could I possibly run either a) multiple simaltaneous connections or b) create a connection, 100 iterations, close connection, create connection.. etc. "a)" looks to be the better option but I have no clue as to how to get it up and running whilst keeping memory (I assume opening and closing connections) at a minimum.   • Why do conditional breakpoints slow my program down so much?

    When I'm debugging something that goes wrong inside a loop, say on the 600th iteration, it can be a pain to have to break for every one. So I tried setting a conditional breakpoint, to only break if I = 600. That works, but now it takes almost a full minute to reach that point, where before it was almost instantaneous. What's going on, and is there any way to fix it?

  • Is Work Stealing always the most appropriate user-level thread scheduling algorithm?

    I've been investigating different scheduling algorithms for a thread pool I am implementing. Due to the nature of the problem I am solving I can assume that the tasks being run in parallel are independent and do not spawn any new tasks. The tasks can be of varying sizes. I went immediately for the most popular scheduling algorithm "work stealing" using lock-free deques for the local job queues, and I am relatively happy with this approach. However I'm wondering whether there are any common cases where work-stealing is not the best approach. For this particular problem I have a good estimate of the size of each individual task. Work-stealing does not make use of this information and I'm wondering if there is any scheduler which will give better load-balancing than work-stealing with this information (obviously with the same efficiency). NB. This question ties up with a previous question.

  • Is it possible to convert this asp to asp.net?

    I have been tasked with sifting through the worst classic asp spaghetti i've ever come across. The script runs a series of recordsets in sequence, getting 1 record at a time. As the record is built it takes the id and passes it to the next loop, which gets data, and passes on the id to the next loop. It then continues in this manner and builds an unordered list, kicking out the required html as it goes. Here are my efforts so far: have a class delivering data via sqldatareaders and output these to nested repeaters (this failed due to not being able to loop and get the id) Have a datatable populated with all the required data, then datatable.select to filter it out. have 4 datareaders looping and building the ul arraylists (I couldnt get the id's to match up) Please can you suggest the best method (with a bit of sample code if possible) to go about doing this conversion?     I have a website with brandspace theme from pixelentity. Currently, the slider move from right to left ( auto transition) . But, when the slider reaches the last image, it will go back to the first image by making all previous images sliding back from left to right. I get a null value whenever I run this function over the database link with the following queries. select getddl( 'TABLE', 'TABLE1') from user_tables@ENTORA where table_name = 'TABLE1'; select getddl( 'TABLE', 'TABLE1') from dual@ENTORA; t_string is varchar2(30) t_longstring is varchar2(32767) and type t_ArrayLongString is table of t_longstring I would really appreciate it if any one could help.     I'm trying to learn SQL and for demonstration purposes I would like to create a loop which iterates over function arguments. E.g. I would like to iterate over SERVERPROPERTY function arguments (propertynames). I can do single select like this: SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('ProductVersion') AS ProductVersion, SERVERPROPERTY('ProductLevel') AS ProductLevel, SERVERPROPERTY('Edition') AS Edition, SERVERPROPERTY('EngineEdition') AS EngineEdition; GO but how to iterate over all these propertynames?   • BizTalk Server Threading in Receive Pipelines

    I am building custom pipeline components for receive pipelines in BizTalk Server (2006 and 2009). I am building the components in a streaming fashion. My question: for any single inbound message, if I have a disassembling component, when I create n messages from a single inbound message, will the message agent always use a single thread when reading the (body) streams and persisting the messages to the message box? I would think so, but confirmation would be helpful. Say if I create five messages in the disassembler, will any of these messages be persisted sequentially from the same thread? Or could these messages be processed in parallel?
