  • Asp.Net Scrapping Grid Pages

    I need cod in C#. Look, i am trying to post the search.aspx page which contains Asp.Net grid. When grid is rendered it loads very first page on the screen and then there are number of pages in the grid header. I scrap first page, and now i want to move on to the next page. I know there is a trick to navigate through the grid pages. I used it but it did not work on this page. the trick is, you can pass __EVENTTARGET and __EVENTARGUMENT in query string to navigate through the gird but it does not work on this website. I am desperately searching a way, how to cope with this website. i really want this done. i do not want any code but a way to nevigate throgh the grid using query string if it does work. Otherwise please be specific to the problem.

If I am fetching a data stream, i.e, I keep receiving float numbers once at a time, how should I keep track of the top K frequent numbers? Here my memory is 4G and I prefer to have less communication with hard drive unless necessary. I think heap is good for updating the max and min. How should I design the data structure? Thanks

  • Lighttpd + fastcgi + python (for django) slow on first request

    I'm having a problem with a django website I host with lighttpd + fastcgi. It works great but it seems that the first request always takes up to 3seconds. Subsequent requests are much faster (<1s). I activated access logs in lighttpd in order to track the issue. But I'm kind of stuck.     I have a class, containing a list property, where the list contains objects that has an enum property. When I serialize this, it looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ibm850"?> <test> <events> <test-event type="changing" /> <test-event type="changed" /> </events> </test> Is it possible, through attributes, or similar, to get the Xml to look like this? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ibm850"?> <test> <events> <changing /> <changed /> </events> </test> Basically, use the property value of the enum as a way to determine the tag-name? Is using a class hierarchy (ie. creating subclasses instead of using the property value) the only way? Edit: After testing, it seems even a class-hierarchy won't actually work. If there is a way to structure the classes to get the output I want, even with sub-classes, that is also an acceptable answer.   • Simple stream read/write question in java

    Hi, I'm trying to upload a file via URLConnection, but i need to read/write it as a binary file without any encoding changes. So i've tried to read byte[] array from FileInputStream, but now i have an issue. The PrintWriter object i use for outputing to the server does not allow me to do writer.write(content) (where content is of type byte[]). How can i fix this? Or is there another way to quickly copy binary data from a FileInputStream to a PrintWriter? Thank you

  • MySQL: Digits (1.75) to Friendly Time (1 hour and 45 minutes)

    In my MySQL database, I have a float field named "HoursSpent" with values like "0.25", "1.75", "2.5", etc. Is there a way that I can have my SELECT statement format those values in a friendly format like this?: 0.25 = 15 minutes 1.75 = 1 hour and 45 minutes 2.5 = 2 hours and 30 minutes The "HoursSpent" field is supposed to only have values in 0.25 increments, but if somebody were to put something random like 0.16, it would be nice if the SELECT statement handled that by rounding it up to the nearest 0.25 (so in this case 0.16 would become 0.25, or 15 minutes).

  • Prevent Apache from chunking gzipped content

    When using mod_deflate in Apache2, Apache will chunk gzipped content, setting the Transfer-encoding: chunked header. While this results in a faster download time, I cannot display a progress bar. If I handle the compression myself in PHP, I can gzip it completely first and set the Content-length header, so that I can display a progress bar to the user. Is there any way to change Apache's behavior, and have Apache set a Content-length header instead of chunking the response, so that I don't have to handle the compression myself?

    Hi stackies, I'm programmatically putting various TextViews into a LinearLayout with a horizontal orientation. After 2h of research I couldn't find out how to tell Android not to squeeze all the TextViews in one line but instead to "float" non-fitting TextViews into the next line. I know there isn't something like actual "lines" in a LinearLayout, but how can I tell the TextViews to actually behave like floating DIVs from the HTML world? Thanks alot! Be well S.

    I have a div called "images" which has a width of 277px. Within that div I have 9 images in it, just stored as tags. I've got the images to float left and line up quite nicely within my div, but I would like the images to align vertically, as some are portrait and others are landscape. I know I can do this if I enclose each image in a div, but the plugin I use to launch the gallery won't recognise which image is being fired, so i need to enclose them as just within the tags. This is the code I have, if someone can help me just align the images horizontally and vertically.   • Why is my custom view not appearing?

    When I comment out setContentView(boardView); in my Game.java my custom view in BoardView works fine and displays everything nicely... but onSizeChanged never gets called in BoardView.java... so I can't read the device width and height at runtime. If I leave setContentView uncommented onSizeChanged works... but the screen is blank! In this case, however, remains always visible the message "Loading ..." and no other action is permitted. I moved my re-encoding procedure to the "complete" ajax option and this time it seems to work. But I did not understand what was my mistake and I do not know if my procedure can work. My problem is it doesn't seem to find import com.google.android.maps.MapActivity and I don't know why or what the next step is. Can anyone help?

    I have been trying to write an FPS in C/X11/OpenGL, but the issue that I have encountered is with calculating where the bullet hits. This, of course, is very slow, and sometimes doesn't even work. What would be the preferred way to calculate where the bullet hits? I have thought of making a line and seeing if any objects collide with that line, but I have no idea how to do that kind of collision detection. EDIT: I guess my question is this: How do I calculate the nearest object colliding in a line (that might not be a straight 45/90 degree angle)? Or are there any simpler methods of calculating where the bullet hits? The bullet is sort of like a laser, in the sense that gravity does not affect it (writing an old-school game, so I don't want it to be too realistic)

  • What to check to see if server has enough free resources?

    The windows service I am writing will need to run some processor intensive operations once in a while (sound encoding wav - mp3) on a machine that takes part in real time voice communication (so I cannot just run them any-time). What would you check (what counters maybe) before running such operation? Can you point me to any good articles?

    Is there any method or plugin available that will alert the user to upgrade an app if the version they are using is not the latest? I suppose I could ping a web service to check what the current version is and compare with the user's version and go from there. As an aside, is there a way to check the current version of the app (some property I don't know about) or do you simply have to hardcode the version as some float variable or something? Thanks
