    I am looking for suggestions on the easiest to set up and use AJAX Autocomplete plugin that will use JSON key/value pairs. I want a plugin that supports setting the form value to the key of the name selected. I have been working with jQuery UI Autocomplete, but it is a total pain in the rear to get this working. Does anyone know of anything that actually supports this out of the box, or have a thread or page where this is already detailed?

    I would like to obtain the list of controls under a given point. There is a method on System.Windows.Form to obtain a control under a point(GetChildAtPoint) but not point(GetChildsAtPoint). Is there something similar for the list of controls (if borders intersect one other): I need this because I select the objects when user clicks on the panel(I use Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.RectangleShape as label bellow). In case if labels are superposed, user should be asked what object to select.

    I'm not sure I explained it correctly in the question title, so here's the details: Login controller: function authenticate() { if ( authorized ) { redirect('lobby'); } else { redirect('login'); } } Lobby controller: function index() { //load lobby view } What happens is that in the login page, I enter user / pass, click Login, then authenticate() is called, and redirects me to the Lobby. However, when I click refresh while on the Lobby, the login form gets submitted again, so I get "logged in" again. How do I prevent that from happening?

    The code below works as far as inserting records from a file into MySQL, but it only does so properly if the columns in the file are already ordered the same way as in the database. I would like for the user to be able to select the drop down the corresponds to each column in their file to match it up with the columns in the database (the database has email address, first name, last name). I am not sure how to accomplish this. The only way I have found is to copy sfGuardValidatorUser.class into /apps/frontend/lib/validator, but I would like to know if there is some way to just override the error message, not override the entire validator...

  • How to get custom form fields from controller -- a.k.a. how to not use date helpers in form

    I created a form with scaffold that includes two datetime fields. I replaced them with a datepicker, and now I'm trying to grab the date from within the controller. Instead of having ruby do all the magic work with the datefields, I instead just have to fields, start_date and stop_date that I want to use, but I can't figure out how to grab them from within my controller.   • Partial view postback from a standard Html form with MVC

    I have a file upload button on my MVC view. After the file is uploaded, my FileList partial view on the page should refresh. I tried to upload with Ajax.BeginForm(), but have discovered that Ajax will not submit file data. I've got the file upload working now by using the jQuery Form plugin, which lets you ajaxify the normal Html.BeginForm() submit method. Is is still possible to trigger the partial page update using this method?
