  • How Do i configure sip2sip, sipdroid, pbxes, and google voice on my andriod g1

    I've been trying to configure the above for two days i used ipkall at first and it registered with my sipdroid app because i got a green status light and whenever i make a call from sipdroid it will show it in the pbxes call log but the call drops asap..i downloaded sip2sip to get another number ive gotten the new number from sip2sip now i need to configure sip2sip with sipdroid and google voice...can someone please help me my e-mail is [email protected]

  • vmware problems - networking - no packet response

    XP is my host. Ubuntu is my Guest in VMware. When I do the following commands, I should get SMTP respones but now get no response. I use wireshark to analayze it.   • Some domain names not resolving on local network

    I am not really sure where to start with this one... I have a small network setup with some linux servers (Ubuntu 11.04 Server). 2 servers are running BIND 9 (NS01, NS02), they are configured as master and slave respectively. 1 server is running Zimbra ZCS 7.1.1 (MX01), it has a private BIND 9 server running to achieve a split DNS configuration. This DNS server does not interact with the other two, it forwards queries it can resolve to the other 2 that is it. No zone transfers. Zimbra is hosting 3 domains at the moment, solignis.local, solignis.com, campbellsurvey.net. The problem From with in my network I cannot connect to mail.campbellsurvey.net. When I mean I cannot connect, I mean if I open firefox and type https://mail.campbellsurvey.net I go nowhere, the address is supposed to connect to my Zimbra webmail. But it goes nowhere, the odd thing is if I try the same task from outside of the network it brings the website up like normal. If I try to create an account in thunderbird to connect to the same server using IMAP4 or POP3 I get an error saying that thunderbird cannot find the domain name. Even the zimbra client fails too. It is like from with in my own walls that campbellsurvey.net does not exist. But if step outside I can get it work with no problem at all. I had thought maybe the problem was with the DNS server (BIND 9), so just to eliminate it as a possibility I configured a windows server I use for VMware VCenter as a DNS server to see what would happen. The result was the same, its like something is preventing connections to those domains, but I have checked various firewalls and such. I checked port forwards, etc. So I am running out of ideas I know this is not a lot of information to work from and I can give more details about certain things as needed. I am just trying to figure out what could be going wrong. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

    I have setup postfix to send outgoing mail, It works fine for most of the cases except for some e.g duke.alumni.edu where it gives me a 450 error, even though the email address is valid. This is the exact error I get Sender address rejected: Domain not found (in reply to RCPT TO command)) Any suggestions on how I can rectify this?

  • What's the best way to backup a web server with 30GB of data?

    I currently have a server(Linux) running with around 10'000 users daily on it. The hoster offers a backup which I'm also using. Although I trust my hoster, I would like to have an offsite backup, just in case the hoster goes down for a longer time or goes bankrupt (you never know). My idea was to tar and split the data and copy the archive to my Amazon S3 account but I'm wondering if that's the best idea? Any tip is appreciated. Thanks, Andy

    Hello, I am using Unix (Debian) as my server platform and want to configure the following: A remote user can connect to a secure VPN server and use its IP to access the Internet, mostly for browsing and e-mail. I read a lot about OpenS/WAN+L2PT and OpenVPN but I am still confused how I should configure it. I would prefer IPSec+PPTP/L2PT since the road warrior doesn't have to install any extra software on iPhone/Windows7. Is there a good how-to for IPSec or what would you suggest?

    Hi, I've a Virtual Private Server with Windows 2003 and root access. This server mainly acts as a web hosting machine (IIS, Apache). Additionally it is used as a mail server. Is it possible to isolate a mailserver (for example HMailServer) by using VMware Server on Windows 2003 in order to avoid potential viruses moving from the guest into the host system?   • any software for managing data center, incidents, SLAs?

    I have been looking in using OTRS - ITSM to manage all of our services but wanted to know if any software existed that is not built into a ticket system? Pretty much want to add all services and tie them to an SLA. Once that is done, we would manually declare incidents and the system would automatically send our notificaton to the proper e-mail lists for downtime/planned maintenance. Would be nice if it calculates reports for SLAs etc. thanks

    I did a great deal of reading here before posting this because I didn't want to post a duplicate - but I'm on a bit of a deadline and getting frustrated, so here goes... I very, very, very sincerely apologize if this is long winded or hard to read. Please - please just ask for any information or clarification and I will give it as quickly as I possibly can. This has become very frustrating to me and this is the last place I know to turn. I have no experience with setting up DNS, no experience with nameservers, and no peers to go to for help. So this is kind of my last ditch effort. The task of setting up a private server has, through circumstances beyond my control, fallen into my lap. I own a domain (hereafter referred to as yyy.com) and have always used shared hosting - I buy a package and just point it to the domain nameservers they give me. It's always been simple. yyy.com is registered with network solutions Now I have purchased a Virtual Private Hosting package from GoDaddy.com - and it comes with Plesk 11. I have no earthly idea how to begin to get the right nameserver for yyy.com. I have gone through the instructions and have wound up exceedingly frustrated. I have 2 IP addresses from GoDaddy for the server. This is what I have so far, and I cannot tell if it is working (Since propogation takes so long, it is extremely hard to test for me) IP 1 : XX.XX.XX.XX IP 2 : YY.YY.YY.YY (obviously hidden for privacy) Now after going through the documentation setup and waiting a few days, this is the setup I have - and so far it does not appear to be working. How the actual domain ownership is transfered to me? What information should I asked for before giving any money to the registrant?     I wanted to try out the Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 4 because I have some issues with Thundebird 2 that I know are fixed in 3.0. The question is, is it possible to downgrade from Thunderbird 3.0 to 2.0 or are there any problems with the preferences or mail format (I read somewhere that Tb3 uses a sqLite database for some of its storage)? According to http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/3.0b4/releasenotes/ it is possible to remove the application itself, but it does not say anything about data compatibility.

    When I save the source of this page of a Russian website: http://www.mail.ru/ as a .txt file, all Russian letters turn into Chinese characters (I am working on a Chinese computer at the moment), but when I save another page of another Russian website: http://starling.rinet.ru/cgi-bin/response.cgi?root=/usr/local/share/starling/morpho&morpho=0&basename=\usr\local\share\starling\morpho\ozhegov\ozhegov&first=4001 also as a .txt file, all Russian letters are saved in it as the are. Why is it so?

    I have purchased a domain name for my blog, and I'd like to use [email protected] as my email address. I have a Linux (Ubuntu 13.10) VPS that's running the LAMP stack. I would like to install some software that would include spam filtering, email delivery, etc, but would be simpler to maintain than something like this (possibly hundreds of steps, and a lot of maintenance headaches too I suppose). I would also require a web interface at mail.mydomain.com - but I suppose that Roundcube is an option
