  • Drop down view in cocoa

    I'm looking to create a 'drop down' view that falls in front of the main window. An example of this would be the window that drops down when you click 'Advanced' in System Preferences-Networking.   • 50 million+ Rows of Data - CSV or MySQL

    Hello, I have a CSV file which is about 1GB big and contains about 50million rows of data, I am wondering is it better to keep it as a CSV file or store it as some form of a database. I don't know a great deal about MySQL to argue for why I should use it or another database framework over just keeping it as a CSV file. I am basically doing a Breadth-First Search with this dataset, so once I get the initial "seed" set the 50million I use this as the first values in my queue. Thanks,

    I am trying to convert this native sql into an HQL query. Basically it returns all the contacts that are duplicates (by company, firstname, and lastname). The query below works great, but performing a joined subselect seems impossible in HQL is it not?! Select c.* from contact c join ( Select c2.* from contact c2 group by c2.company, c2.firstname, c2.lastname, c2.teamId having count(c2.contactId)1 and teamId=1 ) dupes on c.company=dupes.company and c.teamId=1 and c.firstname=dupes.firstname and c.lastname=dupes.lastname order by c.company, c.firstname, c.lastname

This works great on my local machine but when I transfer my xap to our server it is as if the xap had not been signed. Am I missing something that I need to do on the server to allow this to work?     I've looked around a bit for a great JavaScript Sprite Sheet animator lib/engine but couldn't find any good ones so I thought I'd ask around =). What I'm looking for in the engine is: Animate an image in a non-canvas setting (ex: div via css or img tags) Control frame rate/animation speed Flags to loop or to animate once etc. Are there any engines like this out there? If not I can always make my own but then again, I don't want to re-invent the wheel =].

  • How do I sync iPad Notes without Mail?

    The default Notes app on the iPad is fine for my note taking needs. I see how it syncs through iTunes to Mail, but if one doesn't use Mail for e-mail management, is there any other way to sync and view the iPad notes on the desktop? (We use Eudora for mail management, and Apple's Mail is not great if all you want to do is view your notes with it.)

  • Automatically inserting new fields in a web.config file

    I have an ASP.NET project which has already some custom fields in it's web.config file. I've added in it three more fields and used them in my changes, and it's working great. But where it needs to be used, there aren't these thre fields in the web.config (this was expected, I've just added by hand for tests and developing). How do I check the existance of fields in web.config, and in case of not finding it, how do I add it permanently to the web.config ? Thank you

I have an activity that on it's onCreate method it does: registerForContextMenu(theView); and in onCreateContextMenu: super.onCreateContextMenu(menu, v, menuInfo); menu.add(blablabla); This works great, but the problem is that the context menu disappears when the screen rotates.     Python's SimpleHTTPServer is a great way of serve the contents of the current directory from the command line: python -m SimpleHTTPServer However, as far as web servers go, it's very slooooow... It behaves as though it's single threaded, and occasionally causes timeout errors when loading JavaScript AMD modules using RequireJS. It can take five to ten seconds to load a simple page with no images. What's a faster alternative that is just as convenient?
