  • fullcalendar events from REST-ful php server.

    - by biagidp
    I've written a very simple RESTful php server (my first experiment with REST, so feel free to make suggestions) to respond to the fullcalendar events callback. It produces exactly the same string output as the json-events.php file in the fullcalendar json example, but for some reason fullcalendar will not accept my server's output. I've tried messing with the headers because they're different from the ones produced by json-events.php, but I'm not really sure what's awry there, if anything. The code for the server is below: <?php class Listener{ function __construct() { $this->getResource(); $this->buildResponse(); } function getResource(){ $parts = explode('/', $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); $script_name = end(explode('/', $_SERVER["SCRIPT_NAME"])); $this->resource = $parts[array_search($script_name, $parts) + 1]; $this->resource_id = $parts[array_search($script_name, $parts) + 2]; } function buildResponse(){ $method = strtolower($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"]); $this->response_string = $method . ucwords($this->resource); } function getResponse(){ return $this->response_string; } } $listener = new Listener(); $thing = $listener->getResponse(); #$thing(); function getEvents(){ $year = date('Y'); $month = date('m'); echo json_encode(array( array( 'id' => 111, 'title' => "Event1", 'start' => "$year-$month-10", 'url' => "http://yahoo.com/" ), array( 'id' => 222, 'title' => "Event2", 'start' => "$year-$month-20", 'end' => "$year-$month-22", 'url' => "http://yahoo.com/" ) )); } ?> Any input, help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, David

  • Java: Embedding Soundbank file in JAR

    - by Pyroclastic
    If I have a soundbank stored in a JAR, how would I load that soundbank into my application using resource loading...? I'm trying to consolidate as much of a MIDI program into the jar file as I can, and the last thing I have to add is the soundbank file I'm using, as users won't have the soundbanks installed. I'm trying to put it into my jar file, and then load it with getResource() in the Class class, but I'm getting an InvalidMidiDataException on a soundbank that I know is valid. Here's the code, it's in the constructor for my synthesizer object: try { synth = MidiSystem.getSynthesizer(); channels = synth.getChannels(); instrument = MidiSystem.getSoundbank(this.getClass().getResource("img/soundbank-mid.gm")).getInstruments(); currentInstrument = instrument[0]; synth.loadInstrument(currentInstrument); synth.open(); } catch (InvalidMidiDataException ex) { System.out.println("FAIL"); instrument = synth.getAvailableInstruments(); currentInstrument = instrument[0]; synth.loadInstrument(currentInstrument); try { synth.open(); } catch (MidiUnavailableException ex1) { Logger.getLogger(MIDISynth.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex1); } } catch (IOException ex) { Logger.getLogger(MIDISynth.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex); } catch (MidiUnavailableException ex) { Logger.getLogger(MIDISynth.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex); }

  • How to setPage() a JEditorPane with a localfile which is outside of the .jar file?

    - by Jaguar
    My program has the following path in the .jar file src/test/Program.class and my program is as follow... Program.java package test; import java.io.File; import java.io.IOException; import javax.swing.JEditorPane; import javax.swing.JFrame; public class Program { JEditorPane editorPane; public Program() { File file = new File("temp.htm"); try { file.createNewFile(); editorPane = new JEditorPane(); editorPane.setPage(Program.class.getResource("temp.htm")); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } public JEditorPane getEditorPane(){ return editorPane; } public static void main(String[] args) { JFrame frame = new JFrame(); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); frame.setSize(400, 400); frame.setVisible(true); Program p = new Program(); frame.getContentPane().add(p.getEditorPane()); } } The problem is that I have compiled the program in a .jar file. The file.createNewFile(); creates the temp.htm file outside the .jar file So when editorPane.setPage(Program.class.getResource("temp.htm")); is called the file is not found as it searches for file inside the test package. How to setPage() the temp.htm file whiich is outside the .jar file but in the same folder as the .jar file? As the temp.htm is a localfile and I want a relative path instead of an absolute path. Thanks.

  • How to use the Zend_Log instance that was created using the Zend_Application_Resource_Log in a model

    - by Alex
    Our Zend_Log is initialized by only adding the following lines to application.ini resources.log.stream.writerName = "Stream" resources.log.stream.writerParams.mode = "a" So Zend_Application_Resource_Log will create the instance for us. We are already able to access this instance in controllers via the following: public function getLog() { $bootstrap = $this->getInvokeArg('bootstrap'); //if (is_null($bootstrap)) return false; if (!$bootstrap->hasPluginResource('Log')) { return false; } $log = $bootstrap->getResource('Log'); return $log; } So far, so good. Now we want to use the same log instance in model classes, where we can not access the bootstrap. Our first idea was to register the very same Log instance in Zend_Registry to be able to use Zend_Registry::get('Zend_Log') everywhere we want: in our Bootstrap class: protected function _initLog() { if (!$this->hasPluginResource('Log')) { throw new Zend_Exception('Log not enabled'); } $log = $this->getResource('Log'); assert( $log != null); Zend_Registry::set('Zend_Log', $log); } Unfortunately this assertion fails == $log IS NULL --- but why?? It is clear that we could just initialize the Zend_Log manually during bootstrapping without using the automatism of Zend_Application_Resource_Log, so this kind of answers will not be accepted.

Here is an extract of my code: JFrame window = new JFrame("Http Download"); /* * Background Section */ JPanel panel1 = new JPanel(); JLabel lbl1 = new JLabel(); /* * Component Section */ JPanel panel2 = new JPanel(); JLabel lbl2 = new JLabel(); /* * Dimension Section */ Dimension windowSize = new Dimension(800, 600); Dimension screen = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize(); public HTTPDownloadGUI() { window.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); panel1.setLayout(null); panel1.setSize(windowSize); panel1.setOpaque(false); panel2.setLayout(null); panel2.setSize(windowSize); panel2.setOpaque(false); lbl1.setSize(windowSize); lbl1.setLocation(0, 0); lbl1.setIcon(new ImageIcon(getClass().getResource("bg1.png"))); panel1.add(lbl1); lbl2.setBounds(0, 0, 100, 100); //lbl2.setIcon(new ImageIcon(getClass().getResource("bg2.png"))); lbl2.setBackground(Color.GREEN); panel2.add(lbl2); panel1.add(panel2); window.add(panel1); int X = (screen.width / 2) - (windowSize.width / 2); int Y = (screen.height / 2) - (windowSize.height / 2); window.setBounds(X,Y , windowSize.width, windowSize.height); window.setVisible(true); }

  • Java getResourceAsStream as local resource

    - by Dajgoro Labinac
    Before using LWJGL, I used the Graphic method, and there I displayed imageicons, and I had the picture file located in the resources. I used: ImageIcon tcard = new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource("RCA.png")); to load the image. Now when I load textures in LWJGL, I have to use absolute paths to locate the file: tcard = TextureLoader.getTexture("PNG", ResourceLoader.getResourceAsStream("C:/RCA.png")); I tried Googling, but I didn't find anything helpful. How can I load the image from the local resources like in the first example?

  • Invoking JavaScript from Java

    - by Geertjan
    Here's an Action class defined in Java. The Action class executes a script via the JavaFX WebEngine: @NbBundle.Messages("CTL_AddBananasAction=Add Banana") private class AddBananasAction extends AbstractAction { public AddBananasAction() { super(Bundle.CTL_AddBananasAction()); } @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { Platform.runLater(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { webengine.executeScript("addBanana(' " + newBanana + " ') "); } }); } }How does the 'executescript' call know where to find the JavaScript file? Well, earlier in the code, the WebEngine loaded an HTML file, where the JavaScript file was registered: WebView view = new WebView(); view.setMinSize(widthDouble, heightDouble); view.setPrefSize(widthDouble, heightDouble); webengine = view.getEngine(); URL url = getClass().getResource("home.html"); webengine.load(url.toExternalForm()); Finally, here's a skeleton 'addBanana' method, which is invoked via the Action class shown above: function addBanana(user){ statustext.text(user); } By the way, if you have your JavaScript and CSS embedded within your HTML file, the code navigator combines all three into the same window, which is kind of cool:

Here's the whole class(Life.CELLS=10 and CellButton is a class which extends JButton) public class MainLayout extends JFrame { public MainLayout() { setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); setSize(650, 750); setLayout(new FlowLayout()); //setResizable(false); final JPanel gridPanel = new JPanel(new GridLayout(Life.CELLS, Life.CELLS)); for (int i=0; i<Life.CELLS; i++) { for (int j=0; j<Life.CELLS; j++) { CellButton jb = new CellButton(i, j); jb.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(jb.getIcon().getIconHeight(), jb.getIcon().getIconWidth())); buttons[i][j] = jb; grid[i][j] = false; gridPanel.add(jb); } } add(gridPanel); } } This is code of CellButton package classes; import javax.swing.JButton; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; import javax.swing.JFrame; public class CellButton extends JButton { private int x; private int y; boolean alive; ImageIcon icon; boolean next; // icons for grids final ImageIcon dead = new ImageIcon(JFrame.class.getResource("/images/image1.gif")); final ImageIcon live = new ImageIcon(JFrame.class.getResource("/images/image2.gif")); public CellButton(int X, int Y) { super(); x = X; y = Y; alive = false; icon = dead; setIcon(icon); } public int getX() { return x; } public int getY() { return y; } public boolean isAlive() { return alive; } public void relive() { alive = true; icon = live; setIcon(icon); } public void die() { alive = false; icon = dead; setIcon(icon); } public void setNext(boolean n) { next = n; } public boolean getNext() { return next; } public ImageIcon getIcon() { return icon; } }

  • Finding all CLASSPATH resources matching a pattern

    - by binil
    I want to read a bunch of text files, by loading them as resources using the context classloader. URL url = Thread.currentThread() .getContextClassloader() .getResource("folder/foo.txt"); Is there some way to get a list of resources whose names match a given pattern? For eg: URL[] matchingUrls = someLibrary.getMatchingResources("folder/*.txt"); Libraries like Spring can scan the classpath to find classes with a given annotation, so I am wondering if there something similar to load a bunch of resources.

    I have a controller plugin with postDispatch() hook, and there I have a $variable. How to pass this variable to the view instance? I tried Zend_Layout::getMvcInstance()->getView(), but this returns new view instance (not the application resource). The same with $bootstrap->getResource('view'). I don't want to pass it as a request param. Now, as a workaround I do it using Zend_Registry. But, is it the best way?

  • Nginx virtual server only partially working with Java application

    Final Cut Server is a Java application (made by Apple) which launches from a web page. I have Nginx in front of this web server (amongst others) and, whilst the web server can be browsed externally, the Java app fails to launch correctly and throws the errors below. Can anyone offer clues as to what additional config I many have to add to Nginx to get this working? • Unable to load directory when using jar [on hold]

    - by user1630359
    I've a directory in my eclipse project, in build path which contains files (txt). Now, when i run the application from eclipse, i can read the files (using #1 below). but, when i export my application to jar and run it from other pc i can't read the files or even check whether the directory exist or not. All the below lines are always return NULL! 1. File dir = new File("files"); 2. File dir = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("files"); 3. File dir = this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResource("files"); any assistance will be appreciated! Thanks!
