  I've got a string like this: #################### Section One #################### Data A Data B #################### Section Two #################### Data C Data D etc. I want to parse it into something like: $arr( 'Section One' => array('Data A', 'Data B'), 'Section Two' => array('Data C', 'Data D') ) At first I tried this: $sections = preg_split("/(\r?\n)(\r?\n)#/", $file_content); The problem is, the file isn't perfectly clean: sometimes there are different numbers of blank lines between the sections, or blank spaces between data rows. The section head pattern itself seems to be relatively consistent: #################### Section Title #################### The number of #'s is probably consistent, but I don't want to count on it. The white space on the title line is pretty random. Once I have it split into sections, I think it'll be pretty straightforward, but any help writing a killer reg ex to get it there would be appreciated. (Or if there's a better approach than reg ex...)

  I want to write a regex that matches a url that ends with ".mp4" given that there are multiple urls in a line. For example, for the following line: "http://www.link.org/1610.jpg","Debt","http://www.archive.org/610_.mp4","66196517" Using the following pattern matches from the first http until mp4. (http:\/\/[^"].*?\.mp4)[",].*? How can I make it match only the last url only? Note that, the lines may contain any number of urls and anything in between. But only the last url contains .mp4 ending.

• Bash or python for changing spacing in files

  Hi, I have a set of 10000 files. In all of them, the second line, looks like: AAA 3.429 3.84 so there is just one space (requirement) between AAA and the two other columns. The rest of lines on each file are completely different and correspond to 10 columns of numbers. Randomly, in around 20% of the files, and due to some errors, one gets BBB 3.429 3.84 so now there are two spaces between the first and second column. This is a big error so I need to fix it, changing from 2 to 1 space in the files where the error takes place. The first approach I thought of was to write a bash script that for each file reads the 3 values of the second line and then prints them with just one space, doing it for all the files. I wonder what do oyu think about this approach and if you could suggest something better, bashm python or someother approach. Thanks

I know just enough powershell to get in trouble, but can't figure out the syntax or coding to make this work. I have a text file that looks like this - Here is your list of servers: server1 server2.domain.local server3 Total number of servers: 3 I need to take that text file and drop the first and last lines (Always first and last.) Then I need to take every other line and basically turn it into a CSV file. The final output should be a text file that looks like this - server1,server2.domain.local,server3 Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks!

I had installed it but when i run the command phpcs /path/to/code/myfile.php in the command line i got the last one hundered line error from 310 to 410 . but if i want to see the starting errors of any line error how can i see that . Mostly errors are 322 | ERROR | Spaces must be used to indent lines; tabs are not allowed 322 | ERROR | Line indented incorrectly; expected at least 8 spaces, found 2 How can i solve these things easily and in future it don't repeat , what it saying that i should not use tab , and use space , by using space it will take time . and how can i start with basic standard ,because don't want to utilise more time in this right now. • Posting Documentation onto a Joomla Site

  I would like to create some documentation and post it onto my Joomla website. This documentation would be something along the lines of the MSDN documentation: i.e. each page would follow a basic template. Intuitively I feel I have two ways of achieving this: 1) Creating each page of documentation as a separate article, and then linking them up. 2) Creating some kind of template and filling the information from a database. The second option being preferable in the long run. Unforunately I have no idea how to achieve what I'm looking for. I hoped that there would be a component out there that woud help me, but Googling for 'Joomla Documentation' just brings up the documentation for Joomla itself. Has anyone out there put documentation on their site, and how did they achieve it?

  I have a drop down menu in an ASPX page along the lines of: <form> <select name="cars"> <option value="volvo">Volvo</option> <option value="saab">Saab</option> <option value="fiat" selected="selected">Fiat</option> <option value="audi">Audi</option> </select> </form> That is dynamically generated from another controller (value and label). After the user selects one of the options I need to find out what the selected value/label (will be the same) is so I can hit an update button and retrieve the data on that option.   Hello! I'm working on a RakNet-based project (using 3.8 on OS X 10.6), and I'm trying to work through the various examples that demonstrate the parts of RakNet I want to use. For the "NatCompleteClient" example, I've imported the source into a command-line project in XCode, along with the UPNP dependency. At compile time I've had a few errors in the UPNP section, though, and I can't find any guidance on this. In UPNPPortForwarder.mm, there are 7 lines that use _FILE_AND_LINE_, and the compiler is not happy; for example on line 232: foundInterfaces.Deallocate(r1,_FILE_AND_LINE_); causes: UPNPPortForwarder.mm:232: error: '_FILE_AND_LINE_' was not declared in this scope Can anyone tell me what this is all about? That variable doesn't seem to get talked about very often... or Google doesn't like to find it.

Is it possible to have a duplicate the file/db and write a logic switch to use the backup file/db if the main file is in use? Which language is best for the type of structure? • Netbeans GUI Form corrupted?

  I was making a java gui application through netbeans IDE. All was working fine but yesterday when I opened the form in Netbeans, it said that the form had been corrupted and it could only open that form in read-only mode. When I opened that form in read-only mode, I found that the code was incomplete as severals lines of coding wasn't there at the end. Could anybody tell me how to recover the form. The form is perfect in lookwise but the generated code is incomplete. The code is too long to write it again. The Netbeans told me to get help from http://wiki.netbeans.org/FormGuardedBlockError but I didn't find any helpful information there.

• Injecting EntityManager Vs. EntityManagerFactory

  A long question, please bear with me. We are using Spring+JPA for a web application. My team is debating over injecting EntityManagerFactory in the GenericDAO(a DAO based on Generics something on the lines provided by APPFUSE, we do not use JpaDaosupport for some reason) over injecting an EntityManager. We are using "application managed persistence". The arguments against injecting a EntityManagerFactory is that its too heavy and so is not required, the EntityManager does what we need. Also, as Spring would create a new instance of a DAO for every web request(I doubt this) there are not going to be any concurrency issues as in the same EntityManager instance is shared by two threads. The argument for injecting EFM is that its a good practice over all its always good to have a handle to a factory. I am not sure which is the best approach, can someone please enlighten me? SB

Here is an example of column names for a table 'Person': PersonalID, FirstName, LastName, Car, HairColour, FavDrink, FavFood Let's say that I input the row: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, BMW123d, Brown, NULL, NULL Now I want to update the values for this person, but only if the new value is not null, Update: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, NULL, Blonde, Fanta, NULL The new row needs to be: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, BMW123d, Blonde, Fanta, NULL So I was thinking something along the lines of: Update Person(PersonalID, FirstName, LastName, Car, HairColour, FavDrink, FavFood) set Car = @Car (where @Car is not null), HairColour = @HairColour (where @HairColour...)... etc. My only concern is that I can't group all the conditions at the end of the query because it will require all the values to have the same condition. Can't i do something like Update HairColour if @HairColour is not Null

  I'm running Gitolite over the Git repository and I have post-receive hook there written in Python. I need to execute "git" command at git repository directory. There are few lines of code: proc = subprocess.Popen(['git', 'log', '-n1'], cwd='/home/git/repos/testing.git' stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.PIPE) proc.communicate() After I make new commit and push to repository, scripts executes and says fatal: Not a git repository: '.' If I run proc = subprocess.Popen(['pwd'], cwd='/home/git/repos/testing.git' stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.PIPE) it says, as expected, correct path to git repository (/home/git/repos/testing.git) If I run this script manually from bash, it works correct and show correct output of "git log". What I'm doing wrong?

• SQL Query Update is not working

• Good XMPP Java Libraries for server side?

  I was hoping to implement a simple XMPP server in Java. What I need is a library which can parse and understand xmpp requests from a client. I have looked at Smack (mentioned below) and JSO. Smack appears to be client only so while it might help parsing packets it doesn't know how to respond to clients. Is JSO maintained it looks very old. The only promising avenue is to pull apart Openfire which is an entire commercial (OSS) XMPP server. I was just hoping for a few lines of code on top of Netty or Mina, so I could get started processing some messages off the wire.

Rewrite the same code in C++ and Java and compare the results. I have written code, and played with it in all three languages but I can not even get it to compile. This includes declaring x above the three lines as well as in the calling function (as this question is obviously attempting to illustrate scoping issues) I'd like to explain the results and do the comparisons on my own, as it is an assignment question but I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to how to get this code to compile? • Pro's and Con's of unit testing after the fact.

  I have a largish complex app around 27k lines. Its essentially a rule drive multithreaded processing engine, without giving too much away Its been partially tested as it's been built, certain components. Question I have, is what is the pro's and con's of doing unit testing on after the fact, so to speak, after its been implemented. It is clear that traditional testing is going to take 2-3+ months to test every facet, and it all needs to work, and that time is not available really. I've done a fair bit of unit testing in the past, but generally it's been on desktop automation or LOB apps, which are fairly simple. The app is itself is highly componentized internally, interface driven really. I've not decided on what particular framework to use. Any advice would be appreciated. What say you.
