• Php using unserialize() and serialize() changing values in a saved file

  I have a serialized array of values saved to a file and need to change the value of one of the variables. In the example I change the value of $two and then save the whole array back into the file with the new value.   I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to configure Hibernate's logging using the XML style configuration file for Log4j. Is this even possible or do I have use a properties style configuration file to control Hibernate's logging? If anyone has any information or links to documentation it would appreciated. EDIT: Just to clarify, I am looking for example of the actual XML syntax to control Hibernate. • Better way to set unix permissions when deploying war file

  We have a vendor application where we download their updates and deploy a war file. We are deploying the war file on a unix application server running oracle application server 9i. I believe when we deploy the war file, we remove the previous install and then deploy the new war file. When we deploy the war file, sometimes we have to manually set the unix file permissions for the class and other files. We do this so all the unix user ids can run the processes they need. Is there a better way to do this?

• problem with dmg file

  Hello, I have created a dmg file named try.dmg which contains an executable application myapplication.app together with a compiled library mylibrary.lib; I used Disk Utility in order to create the try.dmg file. I mounted the try.dmg file on my computer and I opened the application myapplication.app with no problems. Still, I tried to do the same thing on another Macintosh, with the same operating system Mac OS X, but I got some problems: I mounted the try.dmg file and then when I tried to open the application myapplication.app I got an error message, that the application has quit unexpectedly. Can someone explain me what is it happening? How come this try.dmg file can be mounted and the application can be opened with no problems on my computer with Mac OS X, but on another computer with Mac OS X, after I mount the try.dmg file I get errors when I try opening the application? • How do quickly search through a .csv file in Python

  I'm reading a 6 million entry .csv file with Python, and I want to be able to search through this file for a particular entry. Are there any tricks to search the entire file? Should you read the whole thing into a dictionary or should you perform a search every time? I tried loading it into a dictionary but that took ages so I'm currently searching through the whole file every time which seems wasteful. Could I possibly utilize that the list is alphabetically ordered? (e.g. if the search word starts with "b" I only search from the line that includes the first word beginning with "b" to the line that includes the last word beginning with "b") I'm using import csv. (a side question: it is possible to make csv go to a specific line in the file? I want to make the program start at a random line) Edit: I already have a copy of the list as an .sql file as well, how could I implement that into Python?

• Saving generated .wav file to server with PHP

  I am developing a website where users can compose their own music, and the site will generate a .wav file for their creation. This is working correctly (inasmuch as I can play it on the page). However, I would like to save this file to the server to be listened to/downloaded at a later time, and the saved version of the file can no longer be opened and played by the HTML audio tag. What, if anything, must I put into the file besides the file besides the raw data? Instead of setting the src attribute of the audio tag to the location of the file, will I actually need to open it and generate a URI?

• RTSP streaming and save into mp4 file using VLC

  Hello All let say i am having one RTSP url (rtsp://192.168.0.17/mpeg4). the live camera is setup on the machine which relay live video. i am streaming it using vlc player and i am saving it in mp4 file on some location (i.e. c:\temp.mp4). Now i am opening another vlc player instance and open this file (c:\temp.mp4). but as it is in use and saving live streaming to that file. that will not be played. if if stop the streaming and then played temp.mp4 file then it will play the streamed (saved) video. Now my requirement is VLC player should also stream and save into temp.mp4 file continuously and at the same time that file should be played in any standard player. is it possible to do with any option using VLC player that we can do both this things simultaneously. I'm using the latest Chromium nightly, and it can drag-drop upload files, while not supporting FileReader. I've seen someone mention that drag-drop uploading can be possible by dragging onto an <input type="file" />, but that can only support one file at a time, while Gmail's uploader can handle multiple files being dragged onto it, so that's clearly not what they're doing. So the question is, how do they do it? How do you support Chromium for HTML5 file uploading?

I have a situation where I have a text file with 1100 lines of a search result with each line containing a file path and a stored procedure associated with that file. Each line has a structure like the one below: abc\def\ghi\***.cs(40): jkl=******.*****.******, "proc_pqrst", parms); Where abc\def\ghi\***.cs is file path of the file ***.cs. The stored procedure names begin with proc_. I have to extract the ***.cs and the corresponding stored procedure name begining with proc_ and write them to a .xls file. Can some body help me in writing the parsing program to do this? Also can I get a detailed outline on where should I write the code for c# and where should I compile it?   I am working on a custom .emacs file that I will be able to use on several different computers. I would like to be able to load a mode if it exists on the system. If it does not exist I would like Emacs to stop showing the error: File error: Cannot open load file, X. For example: (require 'darkroom-mode) Results in: File error: Cannot open load file, darkroom-mode I am using file-exists-p to test if certain other files exist but for this test I would assume I need to search my load-path. I am new to Lisp so this is stumping me.

  Snow Leopard introduced many new methods to use NSURL objects to refer to files, not pathnames or Core Services' FSRefs. However, there's one task I can't find a URL-based method for: Testing whether a file exists. I'm looking for a URL-based version of -[NSFileManager fileExistsAtPath:]. Like that method, it should return YES if the URL describes anything, whether it's a regular file, a directory, or anything else. I could attempt to look up various resource values, but none of them are explicitly guaranteed to not exist if the file doesn't, and some of them (e.g., NSURLEffectiveIconKey) could be costly if it does. I could just use NSFileManager's fileExistsAtPath:, but if there's a more modern method, I'd prefer to use that. Is there a simple method or function in Cocoa, CF, or Core Services that's guaranteed/documented to tell me whether a given file (or file-reference) URL refers to a file-system object that exists?

  Hi, I'm uploading a csv/tsv file from a form in GAE, and I try to parse the file with python csv module. Like describe here, uploaded files in GAE are strings. So I treat my uploaded string a file-like object : file = self.request.get('catalog') catalog = csv.reader(StringIO.StringIO(file),dialect=csv.excel_tab) But new lines in my files are not necessarily '\n' (thanks to excel..), and it generated an error : Error: new-line character seen in unquoted field - do you need to open the file in universal-newline mode? Does anyone know how to use StringIO.StringIO to treat strings like files open in universal-newline?

  I am trying to use JQuery to pull a binary file from a webserver, parse it in Javascript and display the contents. I can get the file ok and parse some of the file correctly. How ever I am running into trouble with one byte not coming out as expected. I am parsing the file a byte at a time, it is correct until I get to the hex value B6 where I am getting FD instead of B6. Function to read a byte data.charCodeAt(0) & 0xff; File As Hex: 02 00 00 00 55 4C 04 00 B6 00 00 00 The format I want to parse the file out into. short: 0002 short: 0000 string: UL short: 0004 long: 0000B6 Any hints as to why the last value is incorrect?

  I am working on python and biopython right now. I have a file upload form and whatever file is uploaded suppose(abc.fasta) then i want to pass same name in execute (abc.fasta) function parameter and display function parameter (abc.aln). Right now i am changing file name manually, but i want to have it automatically. Workflow goes like this. ----If submit is not true then display only header and form part --- if submit is true then call execute() and get file name from form input --- Then display the save file result in the same page.
