• Windows7 IIS7: zips don't have php5isapi.dll Can I use php.dll instead?

  The page: How to Install PHP 5.2 on IIS 7and Windows Vista (and a few others) reference a mysterious php5isapi.dll which is not in the Windows install, or the zip files: php-5.3.2-Win32-VC9-x86.zip - VC9 x86 Thread Safe php-5.3.2-nts-Win32-VC9-x86.zip - VC9 x86 Non Thread Safe There was another post on stackoverflow that said it's obsolete and replaced by "fastapi" but no instructions mention this. I did find a php.dll in the zip file. Can I use that instead of php5isapi.dll? It's very frustrating trying to install basic PHP5 on Windows with MySQL.

  I have a Java\Spring\Hibernate application - complete with domain classes which are basically Hibernate POJOs There is a piece of functionality that I think can be written well in Grails. I wish to reuse the domain classes that I have created in the main Java app What is the best way to do so ? Should I write new domain classes extending the Java classes ? this sounds tacky Or Can I 'generate' controllers off the Java domain classes ? What are the best practices around reusing Java domain objects in Grails\Groovy I am sure there must be others writing some pieces in grails\groovy If you know about a tutorial which talks about such an integration- that would be awesome !!! PS: I am quite a newbie in grails-groovy so may be missing the obvious. Thanks !!!

• Need an algorithm to group several parameters of a person under the persons name

  Hi. I have a bunch of names in alphabetical order with multiple instances of the same name all in alphabetical order so that the names are all grouped together. Beside each name, after a coma, I have a role that has been assigned to them, one name-role pair per line, something like whats shown below name1,role1 name1,role2 name1,role3 name1,role8 name2,role8 name2,role2 name2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5 name4,role1 ... .. . I am looking for an algorithm to take the above .csv file as input create an output .csv file in the following format name1,role1,role2,role3,role8 name2,role8,role2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5,role1 ... .. . So basically I want each name to appear only once and then the roles to be printed in csv format next to the names for all names and roles in the input file. The algorithm should be language independent. I would appreciate it if it does NOT use OOP principles :-) I am a newbie.

• Windows SMTP Relay Server to add BCC to all emails

  I'm looking for a Windows based SMTP Relay Server which allows me to add a specific BCC field to all outgoing emails that relayed through this server. The reason for such requirement is that we need to track if the email is actually sent. We're sending our email to end users via our cooperate email server. Currently we're receiving complaint that our end users did not receive our emails, but we don't have access to the email server's log. At the same time, our developers are using a specific library which doesn't allows adding BCC, or it's much more tedious to do so than replacing our SMTP Relay with one that add BCC. Currently we're using IIS' SMTP Server as our relay. Thanks.

• Server 2008 Hard Faults

  Hey all, plase bear with me as I haven't looked at a server in a very long time. The problem I am having is with a Windows 2008 Standard FE Service Pack 2 Intel Xeon X3430 @ 2.40 2.39 GHZ 4 GB Memory 64 Bit There seems to be no problems other than the physical memory peaking at 91%, always with over 100 Hard Faults Per Second. To my understanding hard faults should be fairly rare on a machine with. Are there any logs I can show you? Or investigate myself. The general performance of the machine is ok, i can access SBS2008 and change settings fairly smoothly without hangs etc. However, we connect to the server and do quite a bit of SQL via an application. For a record to retrieve say 20 rows, it can take 20+ seconds.   I'm trying to setup a custom error page for the IIS 7 404.13 (Content length too large) error. The Test.aspx file is not blank. Any idea what's going on here?

• CF64 on Server 2008x64 breaks pretty much everything else, how to fix?

  I just installed CF64 on a WinServer2008x64 machine. Previously a whole array of classic ASP and ASP.Net apps were functioning, after the CF install they're not. I'm getting an http 500 on everything not coldfusion. I believe it's a mapping issue. • Asp.net hashing (using codesmith) when upgrading from .net 2.0 to 3.5

  Hi, I'm administrating servers running IIS 6, hosting a website on ASP.NET 2.0. Yesterday I installed .Net framework 3.5, and all my user authentication system was lost. Users can't log in, because their password arn't getting authenticated, maybe because the hash function has changed in 3.5??? I can't really get to the code, but I know it uses an extention called CodeSmith. Do you know of any break my upgrade the 3.5 ugrade could couse? Please help. Thanks.

  Hi all, Bit of a strange question, but how do ClickOnce deployments work from a web site? I seem to be having some problems with this. Basically, the setup file will download when you click the "install" button, but then some files are missing. Do you need to be on a Microsoft server to run ClickOnce deployments? I usually do deployments over a local server with UNC, and as this is the first time I've done one online I'm struggling a bit. Any newbie tutorials you can point me to would be great, and if I do need a special host for it, could you please recommend some? Cheers!

  hi , i am pretty newbie in terms of flex/RIA frameworks. mostly done work on server side. as i search on internet , people are using a lot different framework, cairngorm to mate. so my question is , as i am baby stepping through flex, should i go for learning framework ? or without framework ? ( as of now , those DI,DAO,VO and IoC doesnt make much sense to me apart from full form. ) . i needed to do pretty serious stuff after around eight month or so. should that be enough time for learning flex ? thanks in advance.   I'm a newbie programmer writting a program in MonoDevelop in C# and have a porblem with my gtk MessageDialogs. The close button on the window boarders of my GTK Message dialogues require a double click to actually close them. The close button on the dialogue its self works fine. • Problem in installing & configuring bugzilla

  Can somebody help me in installing bugzilla (list out exact steps if possible) on Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7.0 , Mysql 5.1 & existing email server(already configured)? I followed installation steps from many posts & also your site , everything goes right but when I start to creating accounts by sending email in bugzilla web panel, I get error:- “There was an error sending mail from 'bugzilla-daemon@' to '[email protected]':Can't call method "address" on an undefined value at C:/Program Files (x86)/Bugzilla/perl/perl/site/lib/Email/Send/SMTP.pm line 25.” I also tried installing through Windows installer, but same issues.   .NET newbie alert Using Visual C# 2008 Express Edition I have accidentally created a click event for a button. I then deleted the automatically-created method code, which resulted in an error saying that the function, which had now been referenced in the form loading code, could no longer be found. Deleting the following line from the Form1.Designer.cs file's InitializeComponent() function... this.btnCopy.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.btnCopy_Click); ... seems to do the trick, however, it makes me feel very dirty because of the following warning at the beginning of the #region: /// Required method for Designer support - do not modify /// the contents of this method with the code editor. I haven't been able to find a way to do this using the form designer, which I assume is the means implied by this warning. What is the correct way to do this?

• SmartGWT Widgets not displaying properly

  I have a basic GWT Maven project going. I added SmartGWT and started playing around with some widgets and nothing displays correctly. The ListGrid seems to somewhat render but things are off and even data isnt showing up (though the rows respond to indicate there is data within the row). Sorting arrows dont appear but are clickable, and filters are wildy off. Whats causing this. I deleted everything in the .css file. GWT newbie here.

• How should I debug a vb.net website in iis6 that is throwing 'Deadlock detected' errors and becomes

  A few times a day, our vb.net (IIS 6.0) website is randomly throwing the following error and becomes completely unavailable for 5-15 minutes at a time while the application is recycled: ISAPI 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' reported itself as unhealthy for the following reason: 'Deadlock detected'. The website ran for months on the exact same server in beta without problem - but the problem started over the weekend when we made the site live. The live site is under some load but less than many of our other production websites. How should I attack this problem? I've looked into orphaning the worker process and creating a dump file - but I'm not sure how to analyze that. Any advice or information is appreciated. Thanks, Shane

• website not accessible with IIS6 while NAT is configured in Windows 2003

  I have Windows2003 server configured with IIS 6. Until now it was working fine, but since I enabled NAT for my users to access the internet via this server, the website becomes unavailable. Note that I have two nics on the server one is WAN and 2nd is for LAN. Both IPs are behind the firewall. If I stop the NAT then the website is available externally. I tried to search the answer in this forum but didn't find appropriate one or maybe didn't properly understand. I'll appreciate if anyone can help me sorting out this issue.

  I'm a complete newbie to Windows and COM programming, trying to use com4j in order to call a COM object from Java. Com4j generates Java interfaces from COM definitions "often found in .ocx, .dll, .exe, and/or .tlb files" . It was easy for me to locate the .ocx file of my target COM object, but I have no clue regarding the standard interface iStream. Microsoft's documentation mentions OLE32.DLL ( c:\Windows\Windows32\Ole32.dll ?) , but neither the com4j generator nor oleviewer succeed in opening this file. Any hints?

  How can I go about deploying a Rails app on a cluster of Amazon EC2 servers? Any recommended guides? I maintain a RoR app (currently hosted on Heroku) that uses a DB and DelayedJobs). The app has a large footprint, and needs to be distributed on a cluster most likely. Any tips would be appreciated. Are there Amazon AMIs that replicate some of Heroku's features (especially DJ)? • Should my servers boot from VHD?

  I've been testing native vhd boot on several servers. It seems to be pretty transparent in terms of deployment and with my seat of the pants testing I have not noticed any difference in performance. The main reason that I want to boot vhd is due to their transportablility between different hardware and to hyper-v servers. the following roles will be installed. dfsr dhcp iis application server dc <- haven't tested this yet but see no reason why it won't work. With the above low impact (in terms of performance) roles do you thing booting from VHD is appropriate. thx

• Asp.net 4.0 Handler Mappings Missing in IIS7

  I have two Windows 2008 R2 Servers running an asp.net 4.0 app. The server that is having problems actually loads asp.net pages just fine, but if there are any ajax calls they don't work. I noticed there are no .net 4.0 specific Handler Mappings in IIS for this server like the other server has. It's literally missing all .net 4.0 mappings (.axd, .soap, .cshtm, .ashx and even .aspx). I've tried running "aspnet_regiis -ir" but that didn't help. Should I reinstall the .net 4.0 framework? Manually add all these missing mappings? Is there something else going on? What I don't want to do is add a ton of handlers to a web.config, they aren't needed on the server that works so it shouldn't be needed on the broken one.

• mvc2 validation problem (ambiguous reference between model and models)

  I followed instructions for mvc validation but I can't manage to solve this problem.... This is linq to sql model: I set Entity namespace to be CMS.Model If I try to declare partial class Article in Portal.Models namespace: public partial class Article { .... } Then, after using Article article somewhere in code I get following error: 'Article' is an ambiguous reference between 'Portal.Models.Article' and 'CMS.Model.Article' Portal is project name and CMS is area.... I followed these instructions I aslo created NerdDinner from scratch and in that example validation works. I can't figure out what am I doing wrong... someone noticed my mistake? Is it related with giving name to Entity namespace (in tutorial they used default one) Thanks in advance! PS I'd like to note that I'm c# newbie so I'm not really familiar with these partial classes

The idea is if someone selects something on the first screen say then a new view opens(tableview) car make> list of models Honda > Acura, S2000,accord ... My challenge is to show the list of models in a new tableview & secondly change the size of hte list depending on the car selected. I am using Regexlite.h and Regexlite.m.i have the regular expression too. i want to compare the regex to the user entered value in text box.But am not knowing how to do it.Please help.
