  Ok here is my question in javascript you can declare a variable and be undefined you can apply variable == undefined, I know that but how you can compare a value that you dont know yet if it's in the cpu memory. I have a class which is create it when the user click on a button. before this the class is undefined there no exist in any where so how can I compare it? without using try{}catch(e){} is there a way????

• Android: Quitting the Looper?

  I have a thread I use to periodically update the data in my Activity. I create the thread and start a looper for using a handler with postDelay(). In onDestroy() for my activity, I call removeCallbacks() on my handler. Should I then call handler.getLooper().quit()? Or not worry about it and let the OS deal with it? Or would it just run forever then, consuming CPU cycles?

  Hi, I'm developing a operating system and I need a test program (function of any kind) to test certain internal features. I cannot find any appropriate program to do this job. Probably one of you knows one. The program should be open source, written in C with very little user library usage (only file IO, pthreads, stdio, stdlib preferred) and must have a binary size of at least 2MB.   My SSIS package has logging configured with a SSIS log provider for text files, which works fine, but each time the package is run the log appends to the end of the log file. I want it to truncate the file and only keep the log from the most recent execution of the package, but I don't see an option anywhere to do that. I've tried both file usage types (Existing file and New file) in the File Connection manager with the same results.

I want to capture each JPEG frame in a small application without doing any preview or decompression/transcoding to minimize CPU utilization to the minimum possible.   With a customer web site we currently experiences performance problems. While analyzing the problem we found an unexpected amount of of 112 "Memory Hard Faults" per minute. Does anybody can interpret the meaning of this value? Does this happen, when memory swapping is necessary - so the root cause is not sufficient memory?
