I've created an AWS account, and have seen some sample code for accessing web services through Cocoa, but I'm not quite sure how to tie it all together.   I am displaying a progress bar using Async task class and simulatneously in parallel operation , i want to retrieve a string array from a function of another class that takes some time to return the string array. The problem is that when i place the function call in doing backgroung function of AsyncTask class , it gives an error in Doing Background and gives the message as cant change the UI in doing Background .. Therefore , i placed the function call in post Execute method of Asynctask class . It doesnot give an error but after the progress bar has reached 100% , then the screen goes black and takes some time to start the new activity. I am embarrassed to even put what I have been trying thus far. For example, "I love #stackoverflow because #people are very #helpful!" This should pull the 3 hashtags into an array.

  I have written a web app in PHP which makes use of Ajax requests (made using YUI.util.Connect.asyncRequest). Most of the time, this works fine. The request is sent with an X-Requested-With value of XMLHttpRequest. My PHP controller code uses apache_request_headers() to check whether an incoming request is Ajax or not and all works well. But not always. Intermittently, I'm getting a situation where the Ajax request is sent (and Firebug confirms for me that the headers on the request include an X-Requested-With of XMLHttpRequest) but apache_request_headers() is not returning that header in its list. • ideas: per-file authentication in order to download

  i would love to use mod_xsendfile but i live in a shared environment which does not provide such a module. processing large files such as videos through a server-side script and sending it to the browser that way seems to be unacceptable in my case, so i am looking for a way to enable per-file authentication in such a way that is not going to consume resources much. nobody shall know what the actual path is to the file they are downloading. please suggest how to do that.

  I need a javascript to replace i into I. This should apply to cases such as i'm good. So am i. He though i love him. The standard ThisContent = ThisContent.replace("i", "I"); doesn't work because it replaces every i. I also thought of ThisContent = ThisContent.replace(" i ", " I "); but it doesn't work for the first and second case. Any idea?

  I enjoy using Netbeans, especially for development with Maven, however, I've found recently that I've been working with three different branches of the same code base in different parts of the development cycle. One of the things that Eclipse can do, is separate the projects into different workspaces, so i can simply start Eclipse with the workspace containing my Maven projects in the production patch branch or the trunk depending upon what I need to be working on. I'd love to accomplish this in Netbeans, but haven't found a way to do so. Any ideas?

• Core Plot: x-axis labels not plotted when using scaleToFitPlots

  Problem: I can't get Core Plot (1.1) to plot automatic labels for my x-axis when using autoscaling ([plotSpace scaleToFitPlots:[graph allPlots]). What I have tried: I changed the values for the offsets and paddings, but this did not change the result. However, when turning autoscale off (not using [plotSpace scaleToFitPlots:[graph allPlots]]and setting the y scale automatically, the automatic labeling of the x-axis works. Question: Is there a bug in Core Plot or what did I do wrong? I would appreciate any help! Thank you! • X264 encoding using Opencv

  I am working with a high resolution camera: 4008x2672. I a writing a simple program which grabs frame from the camera and sends the frame to a avi file. For working with such a high resolution, I found only x264 codec that could do the trick (Suggestions welcome). I am using opencv for most of the image handling stuff. As mentioned in this post http://doom10.org/index.php?topic=1019.0 , I modified the AVCodecContext members as per ffmpeg presets for libx264 (Had to do this to avoid broken ffmpeg defaults settings error). • scrollTo (jQuery) won't work in firefox

  For some reason, firefox seems to ignore my scrollTo function even though it works in chrome and safari. Here's an example link: http://blog.rainbird.me/post/2358248459/blowholes-are-awesome Chrome and Safari will automatically scroll to the top of the image (with an offset of 20 pixels) It doesn't work in firefox.
