Is there anyway of using facebook connect within an iPad or iPhone application.
The idea would be to sign into this App and then be able to see which of my facebook user's also use the app and its features.
When using the visual studio 2008 debugger with c# i can right-click on a variable and choose "Make Object ID" which allows me to watch that object (via it's ID) regardless of whether it is in the current stack frame or not.
When the debugger is in VB code, (doesnt matter if it's run from a c# unit test or a vb unit test) That option isn't there.
Where did VB put this feature? Or does it simply not support it like so many other helpful c# features?
I wonder how can I enable the nullptr in the just released Visual Studio 2010. (C++ project, not managed).
This is one of the new features but it is not available by default and looking inside the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4ex65770(VS.100).aspx it seams that it is enabled by /clr but this is managed!
Is this a feature added only for .NET?
i am working on a small project that i need the ability to let users upload a video to my website or use a webcam to record a video and then upload it. i have seen this done on several sites (youtube,facebook etc) so i know that there is a java or flash applet that supports this. however i have not been able to find one.
can anyone recommend a good flash or java based video uploader with these features?
I want to build a model engine for a model base testing application. I assume there are some refernces that can be helpfull. I would like to use the cool features of WPF. Is there anything like this that exists? or any other helpful recommendation?
Hi everyone,
I have recently heard a lot of people argue about using PHP testing features like PHPunit and SimpleTest together with their IDE of choice (Eclipse for me). After googling the subject, I have still a hard time understanding the pros and cons of using these testing frameworks to speed up development.
If anyone could explain this for me in a more basic level, I would really appreciate it. I am using PHP5 for the notice.
Thanks a lot!
Depending on implementation, OMP can be quite useful to parallelize fairly arbitrary bits of code - e.g a parallel section inside a method that calls two independent methods - or it can be bad. It depends on how threads are created/cached, I think.
How does the VC++ 2008 implementation work? And is the 2010 implementation significantly different in terms of features and performance/flexibility?
One of the new features of Scala 2.8 are context bounds. What is a context bound and where is it useful?
Of course I searched first (and found for example this) but I couldn't find any really clear and detailed information.
We are using the standard aspnet security features, we have need to set the order of the roles, purely for display purposes.
We could just have a sequence number onto the end of the aspnet_roles table, but that feels kinds of hacky to me. Also if in future versions of asp the security get changed we will be in trouble.
Is there a better way to do this that won't make me loose sleep each time a new version is pushed out?
I am using the YUI Rich Editor (SimpleEditor) which gives an editor that has a heading that says "Text Editing Tools" and a +/- button that shows/hides the editing tools. I don't need this, how can I hide them or disable these features?
Thanks!
Hello,
I would like to know if there are some libraries/algorithms/techniques (python, if at all possible) that help to extract features from accelerometer data (extracted from and android phone, btw), like periodicity of movements, energy of acceleration and the like. Has anyone done this kind of task before?
Thank you very much in advance :)
I've Googled and poked around the Go website, but I can't seem to find an explanation for Go's extraordinary build times. Are they products of the language features (or lack thereof), a highly optimized compiler, or something else? I'm not trying to promote Go; I'm just curious.
Does anyone know how to change these length parameters in the middle of a latex document?
\paperwidth
\paperheight
I would like to define a page size for a single page (possibly two or three). I tried v5.3 of the geometry package, which just added some new features; like \newgeometry. Unfortunately \newgeometry cannot be used to redefine \paperheight and \paperwidth.
Any help would be very appreciated.
if you using django ,you can use the "LC_MESSAGES --django.po"

We have a web application that's deployed to many websites with only frontend changes, the shared backend portion has it's DLL in the GAC so we only have to update that one dll and all the sites get the update.
Is there a way to override the GAC with a DLL in the /bin folder to test out new features before they get released?
Whenever any question is asked, and a reference text is needed, I never see MSDN C++ Language Reference being referred.
I was browsing through it and I personally feel that it is extremely well written.
Is there some specific reason it is not used as often as a standard?
Is it because it contains some VC++ specific features?
Right now I have a very high volume of requests coming to my webserver which execute a PHP CGI script.
Every one of these scripts opens up a config file that I have created to load options of how the script should run.
Doing a file I/O operation everytime a request comes in seems very resource intensive to me. I'm not too familiar with the advanced features of PHP, are there any alternatives to achieve what I'm doing?
I'm trying to write some software to read a MIDI file into an internal data format and use it to control 3D simulated instruments.
My biggest problem is reading the MIDI data in from a file, and I'd like to avoid writing all the import code.
Does anyone know of a free (preferably Open Source), cross-platform MIDI file reading library?
What features does it have?
Can it import other note-based music formats?
After I have the initial ASP.NET MVC 2 website and the default Membership provider up, how do I start adding features specific to an user? Like, say, we want to let users choose their favorite products and we want to remember these choices somehow or add a favorite color property to an user?
Where should these customizations go and how should they be associated with the out-of-the-box membership system?
Compiling VIM on Mountain Lion does not work for me. I compile VIM with the following sequence:
hg clone https://vim.googlecode.com/hg/ vim
cd vim
./configure --enable-rubyinterp --with-features=huge -prefix=/usr
make
I then try to start the compiled binary with src/vim, but it crashes like this:
$ src/vim
Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV
Vim: Finished.
Segmentation fault: 11
What am I missing here?
I'm searching for a console code editor with CUA key bindings (ctrl-x c v etc.)
Right now i'm toying mcedit but i don't really like it. My desired features are:
* be fast
* CUA key bindings (ctrl-x c v etc.)
* toggle show line numbers
* find/replace/goto line
* bind custom keys to action( ctrl-shift-arrowdown to double the curent line etc.)
* nice simple vi-like interface (no pointless menus)
* be able to programatically extend it ...
etc.
what are some key differences between mvc1 and mvc2.
I have to adopt any one so i am unable to decide that is mvc2 have some really good features that mvc1 is missing.
I have an ajax navigation similar like here.
now if a menu is clicked window.location.hash is added like this #about
i want to REmove the hash (#) so that people can easily copy and share the link naturally.
How this can be done in april 2012 without a pagerefresh crossbrowserwise (IE7+,FF,Opera,Safari) ?
For inspiration: Here is actually someone already doing this, click on "portfolio" or "features" and watch the url in your browser.
thanks for tips
