• Install Exchange 2013 with DSC

  I tried to install Exchange 2013 with the resource windowsProcess in existing Exchange Configuration. All prerequisites are installed (the Exchange Organization still exists). After I add my test user in the Organization Management Group and I run again manually .\Setup.exe /mode:Install /role:Mailbox /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms /Targetdir:C:\EX2013 And the Exchange 2013 installation finish without any error. That prove that the problem with DSC is Permission right.

• Tool to export Microsoft project to website?

  Just wondering does anyone know of a free/open source tool that take a Microsoft project file and export it to HTML? I know you can save a project file as HTML, so wanted a tool that would do this automatically? Maybe also displaying graphs/gantt chart as well? If not, any ideas of how I would write a program to do this, preferably in java? I know of Aspose.Tasks (http://www.aspose.com/categories/.net-components/aspose.tasks-for-.net/default.aspx), which can export projects files to gantt charts in png format, but it's not free and is only available in C#.

• Turn off Snap and Glue in MS Visio 2007 permanently

  Every time I create new drawing document in Microsoft Visio 2007, drawing options "Snap" and "Glue" are turned on by default. I find both of them particularly annoying, so every time I create a new drawing I open "main menu - Tools - Snap & Glue" and turn these options off for that particular document. Is there an option or setting to turn "Snap" and "Glue" off permanently for all new Microsoft Visio 2007 drawing documents? Update: Maybe there's some way to bithack executable file (EXE or DLL) in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12?

• Outlook activesync not pushing changes to devices

  I recently set up my account outlook.com account and connected Outlook 2013 to it using ActiveSync. For a while, it was pushing changes I made, for example, from the web client to my phone and my Outlook when an email was deleted, moved, etc. The change was instant. Now all of a sudden, I have to manually refresh to see changes on either device. What happened? I just set up my wife's email account and it works fine, though she has no emails in it yet. I have several hundred. Why is mine not pushing sync changes and hers is? Thanks.

  I have inherited an organizational chart that was created in Visio 2003. I am updating it with Visio 2007. When changing the text in one shape, such as a person's title, multiple shapes nearby change their text to the same. For example, if I change Bob's title from Programmer to Programmer/DBA then Wendy's text will change to "Bob - Programmer/DBA". Some changes update three or four other boxes. Some changes will only update one box. My thought is the originator copied or duplicated the one box to create multiple boxes and it created some type of link between them. How do I remove this link?   I have an Excel sheet where two columns (say J and K) among data in sheet1 are as follows: J ------------ K 1 ----------- 25 26 --------- 50 101 ------ 150 Which are some ranges. I have another sheet where I have column (let's say I), which I want to update it to have the values as indicated by the range; i.e. column values of I to be 1,2,3,...25,26,27,...50,101,102,103,...150 (vertically). Note that ranges in J-K are not always continuous (e.g. gap between 50 and 101) and not always in the right order. I'm trying to find some automated way to achieve that, instead of manually copying the starting value of the range (from I) and then dragging down sequentially until the ending value (from J) for every individual I and J value, which is a very huge set of data. Is there any way to help doing that? Note: I'm using Microsoft Excel 2013, but a solution for excel 2010 or 2007 is more than welcomed...

• Office 365 - unable to deactivate

  We are using Office 365 ProPlus 2013. A new user tried to activate their install and received the error that they had reached their install limit of 5 machines. Upon clicking the link the deactivate previous installs that appears in that error dialog, the user is taken to their Office software management tab. Usually, if the user has previous installs, they are listed here and the user is able to deactivate. However, in this case, previous installs do not appear and it seems something else may be the problem. I am looking for any suggestions as to what may be the problem, thanks.

  I am working on creating a template in Visio 2007 (Professional). Each page should reflect a document number and a revision number (two text boxes). I would like to make the template such that entering or changing text in one of these boxes on one page will automatically update the equivalent text boxes on all other pages. Is there an easy way to link two (or more) text boxes to show the same data (mirror each other)? I've looked into creating a ShapeData set and then using the ShapeData field in place of each box, but this will require training others to access and adjust the ShapeData field.
