How to get Wordpress MU / BuddyPress wp_signup meta data

I am trying to get a value from the meta data that is stored in the wp_signups table for a Wordpress MU / BuddyPress installation. I see it's stored in the meta field as s:3:"age";s:2:"25"; ...which is age = 25 I put the information there using $usermeta['age'] = $_POST['signup_age']; in a plugin subscribing the the bp_signup_usermeta filter. I need to get it back during a function subscribing to bp_before_activate_content. How can I do this? Whats the function call? (searched documentation to no avail)

struct assignment operator on arrays

Suppose I defined a structure like this: struct person { char name [10]; int age; }; and declared two person variables: person Bob; person John; where Bob.name = "Bob", Bob.age = 30 and John.name = "John",John.age = 25. and I called Bob = John; struct person would do a Memberwise assignment and assign Johns's member values to Bob's. But arrays can't assign to arrays, so how does the assignment of the "name" array work?

C# Printing Properties

I have a class like this with a bunch of properties: class ClassName { string Name {get; set;} int Age {get; set;} DateTime BirthDate {get; set;} } I would like to print the name of the property and it's value using the value's ToString() method and the Property's name like this: ClassName cn = new ClassName() {Name = "Mark", Age = 428, BirthData = DateTime.Now} cn.MethodToPrint(); // Output // Name = Mark, Age = 428, BirthDate = 12/30/2010 09:20:23 PM Reflection is perfectly okay, in fact I think it is probably required. I'd also be neat if it could somehow work on any class through some sort of inheritance. I'm using 4.0 if that matters.

Bind multiple request parameters to one object in Spring 3

Hi, I can't figure out a way to bind several arguments and headers to one request parameter using annotations in Spring 3. For example, let's say I'm getting this request: Headers: Content-type: text/plain; POST Body: Name: Max Now I want it all to mysteriously bind to this object: class NameInfo { String name; } Using some code like this: String getName() { if ("text/plain".equals(headers.get("content-type"))) { return body.get("name"); } else if ("xml".equals(headers.get("content-type")) { return parseXml(body).get("name"); } else ... } So that in the end I would be able to use: @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST) void processName(@RequestAttribute NameInfo name) { ... } Is there a way to achieve something similar to what I need? Providing localized error messages for non-attributed model validation in ASP.Net MVC 2?

I'm using the DataAnnotations attributes along with ASP.Net MVC 2 to provide model validation for my ViewModels: public class ExamplePersonViewModel { [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "Required", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [StringLength(128, ErrorMessageResourceName = "StringLength", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [DataType(DataType.Text)] public string Name { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "Required", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Resources.Validation))] [DataType(DataType.Text)] public int Age { get; set; } } This seems to work as expected (although it's very verbose). The problem I have is that there are behind-the-scenes model validations being performed that are not tied to any specific attribute. An example of this in the above model is that the Age property needs to be an int. If you try to enter a non-integer value on the form, it will error with the following (non-localized) message: The field Age must be a number. How can these non-attribute validation messages be localized? Is there a full list of these messages available so I can make sure they are all localized?

Sorting Table Cells based on data from NSArray

Hi, I have an NSArray which contains information from an RSS feed on dogs, such as [dog types], [dog age] and [dog size]. At the moment my UITableView simply displays each cell on each dog and within the cell lists [dog types], [dog age] and [dog size]. I want to be able to allow users of my app to "sort" this data based on the dog name, dog size or dog age when they press a UIButton in the top nav-bar. I'm struggling to work out how to filter the UITableView based on these factors, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

In more detail, I am interested in using Mono from project start on a Linux host developing in C# using Visual Studio for development, ideally with remote debugging if that is realistic developing web-services in MONO accessible in a RESTful manner, returning JSON hiding the services processes behind an Apache access the services either via javascript/AJAX or from a thin script layer written in PHP scalability is important for me unit-testing of webservices Any recommendations for material I could sift through to get a good head-start? I might add that I'm C#/.NET savvy, but not in the context of web development. I've been using it since it came out, but mainly for internal server-client applications where the clients were Windows desktop apps and the communication layer was remoting or, sometimes, more low-level socket-based. Hi all I have a couple of pages in my site which open in a shadowbox window rather than the main window. My problem is that if the user session expires, then the user clicks on one of the links that open in a shadowbox, they are redirected to the login page INSIDE THE SHADOWBOX, which i don't want. I've been trying to think of the best way to handle this - one way i thought of, which seems a bit clumsy tbh, was on the login page to test if we're in a shadowbox, and if we are then close it and redirect the parent window to the login page. a) does this seem like a sensible plan? I added the following to my login page, which works: $(document).ready(function(){ if(window.parent.location != window.location){ window.parent.location.href = window.location; } } but i have to wait for the shadowbox to finish loading the page and then redirect. So it's working but like i say a bit clumsy. Is there a nicer way? grateful for any advice - max

Bash PS1 settings - how to get the current folder back as the terminal title

Hi all. I recently added these lines to my ~/.bashrc file to show the current branch if i'm in a git working folder, and it works nicely for that. However, what i've lost is that the current folder name used to be shown in the tab for the terminal i have open, and now it isn't: it always just says 'Terminal'. Can i get that back and still keep the git stuff? Here's the lines in question - it's the second one that's the issue, as commenting out just the second line fixes the problem. source /etc/bash_completion.d/git PS1='\h:\w$(__git_ps1 "\[\e[32m\][%s]\[\e[0m\]")$ ' I've been looking at explanations of the options for PS1 but can't see anything about the terminal window's title in there. To illustrate this example consider these two records: date, age at date 25 Nov 2005, 74.23 21 Jan 2007, 75.38 What I want to do is get the year of birth based on those records - it should be, in theory, consistent. The problem is that when I try to derive it by calculating the difference between the year in the date field minus the age, I run into rounding errors making the results look wrong while they are in fact correct. I have tried using some "clever" combination of int() or sprintf() to round things up but to not avail. I have looked at Date::Calc but cant see something I can use. p.s. As many dates are pre-1970, I cannot not unfortunately use UNIX epoch for this.

Automatically number items in a wpf listbox

I have a person class with two properties, Name an Age. I know how to use databinding to display a collection of person in a wpf list box and how to modify the listitemtemplate to customize how each person is displayed. Now I'd like to number each person on the list according to the order they appear on the list (which could change as the the items were sorted via name or age in the display). Changing ylim (axis limits) drops data falling outside range. How can this be prevented?

df <- data.frame(age=c(10,10,20,20,25,25,25),veg=c(0,1,0,1,1,0,1)) g=ggplot(data=df,aes(x=age,y=veg)) g=g+stat_summary(fun.y=mean,geom="point") Points reflect mean of veg at each age, which is what I expected and want to preserve after changing axis limits with the command below. g=g+ylim(0.2,1) Changing axis limits with the above command unfortunately causes veg==0 subset to be dropped from the data, yielding "Warning message: Removed 4 rows containing missing values (stat_summary)" This is bad because now the data plot (stat_summary mean) omits the veg==0 points. How can this be prevented? I simply want to avoid showing the empty part of the plot- the ordinate from 0 to .2, but not drop the associated data from the stat_summary calculation.

I'm trying to build a simple app to get to grips with android as I'm new. I have programmed for years in PHP and MySQL so it's not completely unfamiliar to me, but one concept is at the moment confusing to me. If I wanted to create this app with 100's of questions how would I create the database like this. What I mean is at the moment my app runs and creates the database. Would I need to do this everytime the app runs as i'm guessing if it was a lot bigger it would mean a slow load evert time. Or is there a way to create the database once and then when the app runs there is no need to populate it. Max

C# Reflection and Getting Properties

I have the following dummy class structure and I am trying to find out how to get the properties from each instance of the class People in PeopleList. I know how to get the properties from a single instance of People but can't for the life of me figure out how to get it from PeopleList. UNIX FIFO: How to allow only one writer/reader pair to use a FIFO?

Hi! I've written two programs: the first, the "writer", creates a FIFO and writes data into it. The second one, the "reader" runs in background and looks for data in the FIFO. Once data is there, the reader reads it out. If I start e.g. two writers and two readers, they all can write/read into/from the same FIFO. How can I restrict it for 3rd and 4th readers/writers to use the FIFO and allow only one writer and one reader to use the FIFO? thanks a lot. -- kind regards, Max Krug

Real thing about "->" and "."

I always wanted to know what is the real thing difference of how the compiler see a pointer to a struct (in C suppose) and a struct itself. struct person p; struct person *pp; pp->age, I always imagine that the compiler does: "value of pp + offset of atribute "age" in the struct". But what it does with person.p? It would be almost the same. For me "the programmer", p is not a memory address, its like "the structure itself", but of course this is not how the compiler deal with it. My guess is it's more of a syntactic thing, and the compiler always does (&p)->age. I'm correct?
