  • How can I make this script output each categories item per category [closed]

    Ok so here is the deal currently this script outputs all the products in a parent category as well as the products in the child categories. What i would like to do is seperate the output based on child categories. All the child categories are in the array $children and the string $childs. The parent category is the first array element of $children with the following ones being the actual children. The category names are stored in the database $result as " $cat_name ". I want to first Display the cat_name then the products that fall in that category and then display the next child cat_name and items, ect.   • ObjectiveC builtin template system ?

    I am developing an iPhone application and I use HTML to display formatted text. I often display the same webpage, but with a different content. I would like to use a template HTML file, and then fill it with my diffent values. I wonder if ObjectiveC has a template system similar to ERB in Ruby. That would allow to do things like Template: <HTML> <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY> <H1>{{{title}}}</H1> <P>{{{content}}}</P> </BODY> </HTML> ObjectiveC (or what it may be in an ideal world) Template* template = [[Template alloc] initWithFile:@"my_template.tpl"]; [template fillMarker:@"title" withContent:@"My Title"]; [template fillMarker:@"content" withContent:@"My text here"]; [template process]; NSString* result = [template result]; [template release]; And the result string would contain: <HTML> <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY> <H1>My Title</H1> <P>My text here</P> </BODY> </HTML> The above example could be achieved with some text replacement, but that would be a pain to maintain.     On ubuntu 12.04, whenever I try to install a package using apt-get I'm greeted by: The following packages have unmet dependencies: postgresql-9.1 : Depends: postgresql-client-9.1 but it is not going to be instal led E: Unmet dependencies.   • JavaFX Datagrid

    Hi All. Im in the verge of starting a new RIA development. We've been using Flex/Flash for the last 2 years but we were considering using a more OS approach so we though giving JavaFX a try since it seams the only solid option available. However after a couple of days of research we found out that there is not such thing as a datagrid for it, at least not in the core API. For those unfamiliar with Flex, a Datagrid is a component that allows you to display a collection of data in column-row layout (much like a HTML Table on steroids). The beauty of it is that you only need to worry about the data itself as the component does pretty much the rest (sorting, column dragging, etc). Im afraid to ask... but is there something slightly similar for JavaFX? We require nothing as fancy as Flex Datagrids/AdvancedDatagrids, we only require a easy, straight forward way to display grids of data that are able to have a little of interaction like clicking, sorting and that are able to display images, buttons, etc. without having to download a ton of different jars. If there isn´t something out there... This would be a shot in the back of the head to the idea of giving javaFx the chance to compete with flash on our project (which is sad). I really cant believe the SUN people didnt include something like this on the core API...

  • How to remove FacesMessages from the FacesContext?

    In my screen, I have a drop down(select box), on selection of any of the options in that drop down , i display one or more text boxes beside the select box using javascript/css - display:none and display:block. All these input controls are in the same jsf form. Each of the input controls have their own validator. The problem is suppose the user selects from selection box and doesn't input value or inputs a wrong value for , i add a custom FacesMessage in the Validator and is shown appropriately and suppose the user selects the the second time and inputs the wrong value for the then another FacesMessage is added in the validator. But Now both the Messages are shown - means - the message for and - which is wrong My assumption is that , this happens because they exist in the same form and their instances are not destroyed yet in the FacesContext and in the UIView. I decided to delete the messages this way Iterator<FacesMessage> msgIterator = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getMessages(); while(msgIterator.hasNext()) { msgIterator.next(); msgIterator.remove(); } But this sometimes gives java.util.NoSuchElementException org.apache.myfaces.shared_impl.renderkit.html.HtmlMessagesRendererBase$MessagesIterator.next So 2 questions : 1) What is the problem in deleting the FacesMessages this way? I am using myfaces-api-1.2.3.jar and myfaces-impl-1.2.3.jar 2) Is there a better approach to handle my scenario? I only want to show relevent messages every time a jsf request is processed Thanks

  • How to start networking on a wired interface before logon in Ubuntu Desktop Edition

    Problem Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop Edition (and possibly previous versions as well, I haven't tested them) has no network connections after boot until at least 1 user logs in. This means any services that require networking (e.g. openssh-server) are not available until someone logs in locally either via gdm, kdm, or a TTY. Background Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop Edition uses the NetworkManager service to take commands from the nm-applet in Gnome (or it's equivalent in KDE). As I understand it, while NetworkManager is running at boot, it is not issued any commands to connect until you login for the first time because nm-applet isn't running until you login and your Gnome session starts (or similar for KDE). I'm not sure what prompts NetworkManager to connect to the network when you login via a TTY. There are several relevant variables involved in starting up the network connections including: Wired vs Wireless (and the resulting drivers, SSID, passwords, and priorities) Static vs DHCP Multiple interfaces Constraints Support Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala (bonus points for additional supported versions) Support wired eth0 interface Receive an IP address via DHCP Receive DNS information via DHCP (obviously the DHCP server must provide this information) Enable networking at the proper time (e.g. some time after file systems are loaded but before network services like ssh start) Switching distros or versions (e.g. to Server Edition) is not an acceptable solution Switching to a Static IP configuration is not an acceptable solution Question How to start networking on a wired interface before logon in Ubuntu Desktop Edition? What I have tried Per this guide, adding the following entry into /etc/network/interfaces so that NetworkManager won't manage the eth0 interface: auth eth0 iface inet dhcp After reboot eth0 is down. Issuing ifconfig eth0 up brings the interface up but it receives no IP address. Issuing dhclient eth0 instead Does bring up the interface and it Does receive an IP address. Completely removing the NetworkManager package in addition to the settings above. I'm a bit confused with the whole UpStart/SysVinit mangling that's going in Ubuntu currently (I'm more familiar with the CentOS world). However, directly issuing sudo /etc/init.d/networking start Or sudo start networking does not bring up the eth0 interface at all, much less get an IP address.   • JSP compilation error upon changing XML parser to Xerces

    All, I'm working on a java webapp that we deploy in the Resin web app server. I have been doing some XML parsing for a new part of the application, and realized that our app was using Resin classes to do the parsing. I wanted to get away from that and use something more standard for a number of reasons, so I set these system properties in my resin config file (and added the xerces jar to my classpath): <system-property javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory="org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl"/> <system-property javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory="org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl"/> And, now I'm getting JSP compilation errors on several pages (I guess Resin's built in parser was more lenient). The error reads: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "title" associated with an element type "display:column" must not contain the '<' character. And, the 'display:column' tag on some pages does indeed contain markup in the 'title' attribute. Here's an example: <display:column scope='col' class=" appealColorBG selectAllWidth" title="<span class='centerThis'><label for='selectAll'>Select All</label><br /> <input type='checkbox' name='selectAll' id='selectAll' onClick='selectAllCheckboxes();'/></span> " > That's some ugly JSP code, I know, but it's also code that's already in production, so I'm hesitant to change it.   • jQuery hover menu not disappearing

    I have a basic menu using some nested UL's, which is pretty standard I think. When hovering over an LI from the "root" menu, I want the UL within that LI to display. Move the mouse off or to another LI, it shows that submenu. Move down to the submenu and it stays while you hover over each element. I had it working with a simple jQuery.hover() set, but then I ran into issues. When on a page, the "root" menu item is given a class of 'current-page' and if that class exists, I want it to display that submenu statically after a mouseout. Hope I explained that well enough. I just tossed a variable into the hover functions so on the mouseout it ran a .show() on the current-page's submenu. Easy. Except that when I move the mouse between the individual LI's of the submenu, it changes back to the current-page submenu. So I attempted to add a timer element based on another question here. That made things worse -- now the submenus just don't disappear. Here's my CSS, markup, and JS ... how the heck do I make this work properly?   • Opening a LWJGL window from a SWT app on Mac

    I have a SWT app that opens a OpenGL window (using the LWJGL library) after a button is pressed. Works fine on Windows. It looks like the SWT app doesn't shut down cleanly and leaves it's menu entries associated with it, which prevents the LWJGL window from opening. Mac OS X only wants one application menu. SWT doesn't free it's own menu and LWJGL wants to add another. Facts: A button in the SWT dialog is supposed to close the dialog and open a LWJGL window (org.lwjgl.opengl.Display). The button sets a static variable in the app to tell it what to do next after the SWT window is closed, so the LWJGL window is NOT being opened from a SWT callback directly. The button then closes the SWT window. I don't know the correct way of doing this but tried various combinations of shell.close, shell.dispose, display.close and display.dispose, none of them worked. They all close the window but the error occurs every time. Does anyone know what could be done to make this work?

Suddenly I am now getting connection errors when going to the DD navigation pages, but things work fine on the default DD main page, and also other MVC pages I've added in myself work fine to the database.     I would like to load a tooltip plugin (I'm currently trying qTip, but I've tried a few and have run into the same problem each time) inside Colorbox (http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/). If you go to the next image, the tooltip needs to be recalled as Colorbox regenerates the code displayed above. What is the best way to recall the tooltip plugin? I have tried to recall the tooltip by attaching it to clicking on the div with the id "cboxNext" as a test, but it doesn't work since it takes time for cboxPhoto to load, so I think the functions generating the tooltip load before they can apply to the image.

I found that internally MS Word 2007 will write some content through tags which may not be needed to display the data. Hence i am figuring out what are the necessary MS Word tags needed when converting into a .xml file. So that i can avoid unnecessary tags and build only the respective tags which are needed to display the data. Hence i am planning to write my own .xml with the MS Word tags which are needed, than generating a .XML from .docx file My queries are:- 1) Whether it is right that the MS Word will generate some tags which may not be needed during the conversion of .docx to document.xml? That makes it heavy? If so what are the tags , so that i can avoid them when write by own .xml file. 2) Please send links to understand about the MS Word tags and its advantages, which tags are needed and which are not ? 3) Whether my approach to write a new .xml similar to document.xml (.docx conversion) is worthy one to go forward so that i can build the .xml with the tags i needed , so that i can improve the performance of the data display?   • PLT Scheme Memory

    So I need some help with implementing a Make-memory program using Scheme. I need two messages 'write and 'read. So it would be like (mymem 'write 34 -116) and (mymem 'read 99) right? and (define mymem (make-memory 100)).....How would I implement this in scheme? using an Alist???I need some help coding it. I have this code which makes make-memory a procedure and when you run mymem you get ((99.0)) and what i need to do is recur this so i get an alist with dotted pairs to ((0.0)). So any suggestions on how to code this?? Does anyone have any ideas what I could do to recur and make messages Write and read??   • Block all but http traffic on a network interface

    I've got two network interfaces on an Ubuntu machine which go out to two different networks but both have internet gateways. I need to limit it so that any outgoing http requests it makes (ie through wget) only go through eth0 and all other traffic goes through eth1. I dare say the solution might have something to do with iptables but I've no experience with it so would appreciate all help.

They are unused (as far as I know). The guest runs perfectly until I run a large 'rsync', when the network will freeze after some seemingly-random time (usually under a minute). When it freezes, there is no network activity in or out of the guest. I can still connect to the guest's console via vnc, but it is unable to speak out its network interface. Any attempt to 'ping' from the guest gives a "Destination Host Unreachable" error for 3/4 packets and no reply for every fourth packet. Sometimes (perhaps two thirds of the time), I can bring the interface back to life by doing a "service network restart" from the guest's console. If this works (and if I do it before the rsync times out), the rsync will resume. Usually it will freeze again within a minute or two. If I repeat, the rsync will eventually finish, and I presume the machine goes back to waiting for another period of heavy load. Throughout the whole process, there are no console errors or relevant (that I can see) syslog messages on either guest or host machine. If the "service network restart" doesn't work the first time, trying again (and again and again) never seems to work. The command completes normally, with normal output, but the interface stays frozen. However, a soft reboot of the guest machine (without restarting qemu-kvm) always seems to bring it back. I am aware of the "lowest mac address" assignment problem, where the bridge takes on the mac address of the slave interface with the lowest mac address. This causes temporary network freezes, but is definitely not what's happening for me. My freezes are permanent until manual intervention, and you can see from the 'ip addr show' output above that the mac address being used by br0 is that of the physical ethernet. There are no other virtual machines running on the host. I've verified that each virtual machine on the subnet has its own unique mac address. I have rebuilt the guest machine several times, and I have tried this on three different host machines (identical hardware, built identically). Oddly, I do have one virtual host (the second of this series) which never seemed to have a problem. It never had its network freeze when it was running the same rsync during its build. It's particularly odd because it was the second build. The first, on a different host, did have the freezing problem, but the second did not. I assumed at the time that I had done something wrong with the first build, and that the problem was resolved. Unfortunately, the problem reappeared when I built the third VM. Also unfortunately, I can't do many tests with the working VM, as it's now in production use, and I'm hoping I can find the cause of this issue before that machine starts having problems. It's possible that I just got really lucky while running the rsync on the working machine, and that one time it didn't freeze. Of course it's possible that I somehow changed the build scripts without realizing it and re-broke something, but I can't find any such thing. In any case, I'm hoping someone has some idea what could cause this. Addendum: Preliminary tests suggest that I don't have the problem if I substitute e1000 for virtio in the first -net flag to qemu-kvm. I don't consider this a solution, but it is suitable for a stopgap. Has anyone else had (or better yet, solved) this problem with the virtio network driver?

One View displaying Phone Detail and ViewModel as per bellow: Phone basic features- PhoneViewModel, Phone Price Detail- PhoneSubscriptionViewModel, Phone Accessories- PhoneAccessoryViewModel For general properties- PhoneDetailViewModel I have placed View's general properties to PhoneViewModel.Now senario is like this: By default View displays Phone Basic feaures which is bind with ObservationCollection of PhoneViewModel. My view have button - 'View Accessories', onclick of this button one popup screen- in my design I have display/hide Grid and bind it with ObservationCollection of PhoneAccessoryViewModel. Now problem begins- Accessory List also have button 'View Detail' onclick I have to open one popup screen, here also I had placed one Grid and Visible/Hide it. I have bind 'ViewAccessoryDetailCommand' command to 'View Detail' button. And on command execution one function fires and set property which Visible the Popup screen. Using such programming command fires, function calls but the property change not raises and so my view does not display popup. Summary: One View-- ViewModel1--Grid Bind view ViewModel2 --Grid Have Button and Onclick display new Grid which binded with ViewModel3-this Command fires but property not raises. I think there is some problem in my methodology, Please, give your suggetions.

  • Unable to fetch initial output of "defrag" commad in Windows Server 2008 R2 in WOW64 environment.

    Hi All, [Application & code back ground] I have an MFC application which is executing on Windows Server 2008 R2 in WOW64 environment. In which on user input it defragments the selected drive on the disk. I initiated the process(.i.e. cmd /c defrag –v c:) of defragmentation using the CreateProcess() API, along with this to display output of the process on the main screen I created the pipe using CreatePipe() API. I used PeekNamedPipe() & ReadFile() API to get the output and display. [Problem Area] When the process is launched I am not getting the initial output as below: Microsoft Disk fragmenter Copyright © 2007 Microsoft Crop. Invoking defragmentation on (C:)…. I constantly monitor the output of the process while it is under progress but not able to get any thing as output in the pipe. It seem the process is not doing any thing and appears as if the application is not responding. But after certain period of time, once the process is about to completed I get result along with the initial data. I did try this out with a float instead of a display:inline on the list item and it worked as I expected it to. So I guess if I had a secondary question it would be what is the difference between a float:left; and a display:inline? I was reading the float spec and it sounds like a float is still a box online inline so somewhat like inline-block? I appreciate any input, this isn't really something I need to know to finish a project or anything, but I would like to know why. Thanks Levi

  • Good way to backup code projects

    I work as a developer, and I have many projects for most of them use GIT for versioning the code, I have some projects that are not code such as interfaces sketches, idea, etc.. currently I have a disorder with the backups before Dejadup used, but the downside comes when I want to restore my backups from Windows. Periodically change of operating system (Windows or Linux). my question is which is better, copy each folder (project) directly to my external disk or create a repository (git - bare init) for each project I need or should do?
