  Im trying to make a program that captures a video from the webcam and sound from the microphone but im getting stuck at the part where ive try to make a movie out of still images ive heard you need to use directshow but it doesnt jet work for me Does someone know a good piece of example code that captures video and sound and can encode it to a file (divx or something like that) ? or some suggestions where to look so i can build it myself (if a other programming language is better for this im happy to know it early. )

• How can it be that PageContent implements IAddChild but has none of this interface methods?

  The PageContent element implements IAddChild but doesn't implements IAddChild methods so I can't call AddChild method on PageContent.. How can it be? And if i cast PageContent to IAddChild i can call AddChild method on it - So it does implement it somewhere... I am confused with this behavior. Can someone shed some light on this?

  I want define a functions that accepts &rest - parameters and delegates them to another function. (html "blah" "foo" baz) = "blahfoobaz" I did not find a better way than this one: (defun html (&rest values) (concatenate 'string "" (reduce #'(lambda(a b) (concatenate 'string a b)) values :initial-value "") "")) But this looks somewhat glumbsy to me, since line 4 does no more than concatenating the &rest parameter "values". I tried (concatenate 'string "" (values-list values) "") but this does not seem to work (SBCL). Could someone give me an advice? Kind regards

Also is it better to save in this cookie user account login name or user account ID number?

• Eclipse autocomplete not working in some Java files

  Hi, I have noticed that autocomplete is not working in some of java files in Eclipse. Also, the files where autocomplete is not working, display a hollow "J" as the icon for the Java file. The files where autocomplete is working, icon for java file is a filled "J" I am wondering if someone can point out what went wrong all of suddent, why the change in icons and why autocomplete and syntax highlighting is turned-off in the files with a hollow "J" icon? • Why is the Objective-C Boolean data type defined as a signed char?

  Something that has piqued my interest is Objective-C's BOOL type definition. Why is it defined as a signed char (which could cause unexpected behaviour if a value greater than 1 byte in length is assigned to it) rather than as an int, as C does (much less margin for error: a zero value is false, a non-zero value is true)? The only reason I can think of is the Objective-C designers micro-optimising storage because the char will use less memory than the int. Please can someone enlighten me?
