  Hi! I am interested in saving and load objects using the pickle module as you can read in a question I asked before: Python: Errors saving and loading objects with pickle module Someone commment: 1, In an other way: the error is raise because pickle wanted to load an instance of the class Fruits and search for the class definition where it was defined, but it didn't find it so it raise the error Now I want to save and load a class definition in order to solve the problem I describe in the question mentioned before.   this is the first time for me here, so I hope I'm doing this right :) My question is the following: how do I draw the sprite from an image on the canvas, so that I don't get the entire (squared) image to show, but only the parts of the image I want (= the sprite). For example, I have an image of a robot on a white background and I only want to see the robot, and not the white background. I hope someone here can help me with this problem, because it's giving me headaches of not knowing how to do it :P

• Setting a ListView Divider in code

  One of my ListView's needs to be created in code. When I specify a ListView in xml, I can set a dividerHeight and assign a color to the divider. But apparently, in code a color is not acceptable nor is pointing to a resource id. Only a Drawable is acceptable - and I haven't gotten to that chapter yet. Can someone point me to an example of setting a ListView divider in code?

• UnicodeDecodeError when redirecting to file

  Hi, I run this snippet twice, in the ubuntu terminal, (encoding set to utf-8) once with ./test.py and then with ./test.py >out.txt: uni = u"\u001A\u0BC3\u1451\U0001D10C" print uni Without redirection it prints garbage. With redirection I get a UnicodeDecodeError. Can someone explain why I get the error only in the second case, or even better give a detailed explanation of what's going on behind the curtain in both cases?

  I want to use file_get_contents to implement a proxy so I can do ajax cross domain requests. Querystring will be used to supply the URL to file_get_contents. Now the problem is people can muck around with the qurystring in order to read local files on the server. I dont wnat this. Can someone get me a function to sinitize the querystring in order only to accept urls and not local files: ie: ?url=http://google.com.au - OK ?url=./passwords.txt - Not OK

• IIS show upgrade website for all requests

  Hi I have a temp website set up in IIS Manager (6) linked to an IP / URL, for example: 1.2.3.4 / www.someUrl.com When that url is accessed, the temp website shows fine. But if someone tries to access any other file within that domain, for example: www.someUrl.com/index.cfm?action=profile then the upgrade website does not display. How do I get it to show for all requests made to the domain www.someUrl.com?? Thanks
