• OpenXml - How to identify whether the paragraph extends to next page

  From aspx page, I dynamically add paragraphs to a word document using OpenXml SDK. In this case, a page break within a paragraph is not allowed. So in case a paragraph starts in middle of page 1 and extends to page2 then it should actually start in Page2. However, if it ends in the same page it is okay. How to achieve this? Is there a way to set in th document that page break is not allowed within a paragraph? Any input is highly appreciated.

• SSRS default renderer strips html tags

  For TFS task work item, I copy a table from ms word 2003/2007 document and paste it into the description field (supports rich text). When the task item is saved, correct formatting is saved in TFS database table. But when the same data is displayed in a SSRs report (through report manager) the formatting is lost. Probably the ssrs rendering engine is stripping off the tags. I have the "HTML-Interpret HTML tags as styles" enabled for the report field. It will be of great help if someone can provide more information on this issue and how it can be handled. Thanks.

  Hi to all, in this question i asked how to split text by whitespace, now i split it, but now i can't display this text in QTextEdit. I make so: QStringList list = line.split(QRegExp("\\s+")); for (int i = 0; i < list.count(); i++){ table.push_back(list[i]); this->ui->textEdit->setText(table[i]); //output text in qtextedit } But i see clean textedit after that. But if i make for example: this->ui->textEdit->setText(table[2]); I see third word in QTextEdit. What's wrong? Thank you.

  How can I use IndexOf with SubString to pick a specific Character when there are more than one of them? Here's my issue. I want to take the path "C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\Temp\" and remove the "Temp\" part. Leaving just "C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\" I have solved my problem with the code below but this assumes that the "Temp" folder is actually called "Temp". Is there a better way? • MS SQL Server 2008 Stored Procedure Result as Column Default Value

  First of all, thank you guys. You always know how to direct me when I cant even find the words to explain what the heck im trying to do. The default values of the columns on a couple of my tables need to equal the result of some complicated calculations on other columns in other tables. My first thought is to simply have the column default value equal the result of a stored procedure. I would also have one or more of the parameters pulled from the columns in the calling table. I don't know the syntax of how to do it though, and any time the word "stored" and "procedure" land next to each other in google I'm flooded with info on Parameter default values and nothing relating to what I actually want. Half of that was more of a vent than a question...any ideas though? And plz plz dont say "Well, you could use an On-Insert Trigger to..."

• Max number of web methods?

  Guys I have a web service in asp.net 2.0 that has 234 methods. It seems that when I add another method the site does not compile in VS2005 until I remove one first. I get a message saying that the new method I just added does not exist in a file that belongs in the Microsoft.Net/.../Temporary Files directory. I have restarted IIS, closed down VS2005, removed all files from this temp directory but to no avail. The only way to get the code to compile is to remove another one so as to keep 234 methods.... I can consistency replicate this behaviour so it cannot be my code. Now I know this seems strange but it is true! One other strange thing is that exactly 100 of the method names begin with the word GetXXXyyyZZZ Has anyone else experienced problems with the maximum number of methods that are allowed in a web service?   Morning, I am inputting data from an XML file into my database, but have any isse with German words (that are in the XML by mistake) For example the word für appears in my XML as für and thus appears the same in my database. I know I could do a simple search/replace for that exact phrase, but I was wondering if there was a smarter way to do it as I can't predict if any other German words may one day appear in the XML?   R has a qr() function, which performs QR decomposition using either LINPACK or LAPACK (in my experience, the latter is 5% faster). The main object returned is a matrix "qr" that contains in the upper triangular matrix R (i.e. R=qr[upper.tri(qr)]). So far so good. The lower triangular part of qr contains Q "in compact form". One can extract Q from the qr decomposition by using qr.Q(). I would like to find the inverse of qr.Q(). In other word, I do have Q and R, and would like to put them in a "qr" object. R is trivial but Q is not. The goal is to apply to it qr.solve(), which is much faster than solve() on large systems.

• CSS: Why won't this box get wider?

  I just need a sanity check here... DEMO Basically, I can't figure out how to get the box under the link to get wider as more content is added. It seems fixed to the width of the parent div (or the width of, say, the longest element like the select or a really long word with no spaces), despite being absolutely positioned. I use this trick all the time with ul and li but it doesn't make sense to use that in my situation, and for some crazy reason it just won't work with a div inside a div. I don't want to set a width (which, of course, works) because I don't always know what will be in this box. GRR Thanks :\

  When a user clicks once on an item in a Grid or a ListBox, that item is usually selected, hence most UI frameworks have a onSelected event or the like for that. However, how can we generally call the next step when a user "finally" selects an item by e.g. double clicking an entry? You know when some popup might appear in the context of the selected item and the user can do further stuff. Strangely enough, I think I have never seen a word for that in any UI framework. onPicked, onAccepted, onChosen, onFinallySelected, onResult? All kinda awkward or too special. Any other ideas?

  Given that I have two lists that each contain a separate subset of a common superset, is there an algorithm to give me a similarity measurement? Example: A = { John, Mary, Kate, Peter } and B = { Peter, James, Mary, Kate } How similar are these two lists? Note that I do not know all elements of the common superset. Update: I was unclear and I have probably used the word 'set' in a sloppy fashion. My apologies. Clarification: Order is of importance. If identical elements occupy the same position in the list, we have the highest similarity for that element. The similarity decreased the farther apart the identical elements are. The similarity is even lower if the element only exists in one of the lists. I could even add the extra dimension that lower indices are of greater value, so a a[1] == b[1] is worth more than a[9] == b[9], but that is mainly cause I am curious.

• NSString stringWithContentsOfFile failing with what seems to be the wrong error code

  Hello. I'm trying to load a file into a string. Here is the code I'm using: NSError *error = nil; NSString *fullPath = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:filename ofType:@"html"]; NSString *text = [NSString stringWithContentsOfFile:fullPath encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error:&error]; When passed in @"about" as the filename, it works absolutely fine, showing the code works. When passed in @"eula" as the filename, it fails with 'Cocoa error 258', which translates to NSFileReadInvalidFileNameError. However, if I swap the contents of the files over but keep the names the same, the other file fails proving there is nothing wrong with the filename, it's something to do with the content. The about file is fairly simple HTML but the eula file is a massive mess exported from Word by the legal department. Does anyone know of anything inside a HTML file that could cause this error to be raised? Much thanks, Sam

This isn't a problem, the below regexp does this fine: if (preg_match("/(\d+)\smbit/", $string)){ ... } But, the user may search for something like "10/10 mbit" or "10-100 mbit". I don't want to match those with the above regexp - they should be handled in another fashion. So I would like a regexp that matches "10 mbit" if the number is all-numeric as a whole word (i.e. contained by whitespace, newline or lineend/linestart) Using lookbehind, I did this: if (preg_match("#(?<!/)(\d+)\s+mbit#i", $string)){ Just to catch those that doesn't have "/" before them, but this matched true for this string: "10/10 mbit" so I'm obviously doing something wrong here, but what?

• Adding a search box to a windows forms web browser control that highlights text

  I have a windows forms (using c#) application. It displays a webpage and has a textbox/botton combination which can be used to search for text displayed to the user. Currently I search the inner text of all elements for the text in the textbox. And then I weed out the elements that are redundant (for example a word could be in a 'p' and 'b' element where the 'b' is a child element of 'p' so the element returned should be 'b'). Finally I run the ScrollIntoView(true) method on the found element. I'd now like to add a function that highlights the text (like if you search for a term in a real webbrowser). My first thought was to just inject html and or javascript code around the text but that seems like a messy solution. Any ideas on how I should do this? Thanks for your help!

• Mysql replace() function, help with query (what chars do I escape?)

  I am trying to update an old cms where images were stored in /images/editor/, they are now stored in a bucket on amazon s3. I'm trying to update the database using mysql replace. I've done this in the past with replacing simple words, but now Mysql is reporting an error, I suspect because this is more than a simple word: UPDATE contents SET desc = replace(desc, '/images/editor/', 'http://s3.amazonaws.com/my_bucket/editor/') Do I need to escape the : or slashes? I've tried escaping it with a '\' to no avail. Can someone get me pointed in the right direction? Thanks!
