• Perl XML SAX parser emulating XML::Simple record for record

  Short Q summary: I am looking a fast XML parser (most likely a wrapper around some standard SAX parser) which will produce per-record data structure 100% identical to those produced by XML::Simple. Details: We have a large code infrastructure which depends on processing records one-by-one and expects the record to be a data structure in a format produced by XML::Simple since it always used XML::Simple since early Jurassic era. An example simple XML is: <root> <rec><f1>v1</f1><f2>v2</f2></rec> <rec><f1>v1b</f1><f2>v2b</f2></rec> <rec><f1>v1c</f1><f2>v2c</f2></rec> </root> And example rough code is: sub process_record { my ($obj, $record_hash) = @_; # do_stuff } my $records = XML::Simple->XMLin(@args)->{root}; foreach my $record (@$records) { $obj->process_record($record) }; As everyone knows XML::Simple is, well, simple. And more importantly, it is very slow and a memory hog - due to being a DOM parser and needing to build/store 100% of data in memory. So, it's not the best tool for parsing an XML file consisting of large amount of small records record-by-record. However, re-writing the entire code (which consist of large amount of "process_record"-like methods) to work with standard SAX parser seems like an big task not worth the resources, even at the cost of living with XML::Simple. What I'm looking for is an existing module which will probably be based on a SAX parser (or anything fast with small memory footprint) which can be used to produce $record hashrefs one by one based on the XML pictured above that can be passed to $obj->process_record($record) and be 100% identical to what XML::Simple's hashrefs would have been.

• One object in jTemplate?

  Hi I'm using jTemplate for the first time. I been reading and it's not that hard to use it BUT what I can not figure out and find any thing on is how to work with one object, all the examples I find are a list of objects. My situation is I need to work with one object only. How can I do that? • Data from 6 ArrayLists into a single JTable - Java Swing

  I have created a JTable which is populated by various arraylists which get their data from a text list using a "~" to split. The issue I am having is that the table is displaying all data from the list on a single row. For example: Column1 Column2 Column2 Column2 Column3 Column4 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,5 When I want it to display Column1 Column2 Column2 Column2 Column3 Column4 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 2 2 3 3 3 3 3 3 You get the idea. From previous advice, I think the issue may be looping, but I am not sure. Any advice would be great. • Blueprint CSS & Boks: strange behavior with prepend and append in FF and Chrome

  Hi, I am working a bit with Blueprint CSS framework and I stumbled upon Boks. I am pretty unfamiliar with the BPCSS framework, but it seems that when using prepend and append, Firefox and Chrome (both) are not liking the input. I generated the code from Boks and for my newbe eye-sight, I can't directly see what went wrong in the export.   In my master page I have a top-level menu that is created using ActionLinks: <ul id="topNav"> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("Home", "Index", "Home")%></li> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("News", "Index", "News")%></li> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("Projects", "Index", "Projects")%></li> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("About", "About", "Home")%></li> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("Contact", "Contact", "Home")%></li> <li><%=Html.ActionLink("Photos", "Photos", "Photos")%></li> </ul> I want to dynamically add a class named "current" to the link that the site is currently pointing to. So, for example, when the site is sitting at the home page, the menu link would render like this: <li><a class="current" href="/">Home</a></li> Do I have to overload the ActionLink method to do this, or create an entirely new HtmlHelper, or is there a better way? I'm fairly new to MVC, so I'm not sure what is the correct way to go about this. Thanks in advance.

• How do I display grouped XML data in a Flex pie chart?

  I've looked into grouping XML data with GroupingCollections and AdvancedDataGrids, but I can't figure out how to display that data in a chart. Basically, what I want to do is group the data by the category field, which should give me two rows under red, one under blue, and one under green. When inputting this data into the pie chart, it should take up the right amount of space (1/2 for red, 1/4 each for blue and green). I don't need the other_data field, as I'd like to use the group name (category in this case) as the callout. Any suggestions? I just need to show the first row, of course, the rest should be toggled. The action is when I click a dynamic fake button, it will show row no. 2, and clicking again will show another next row.   I've just started using Qt, so please bear with me. When I use QTableWidget-getItemAt(), it returns a different item from if I used currentItemChanged and clicked the same item. I believe it's necessary to use itemAt() since I need to get the first column of whatever row was clicked.   Hi all, The last couple of days we are thinking of using Solr as our search engine of choice. Most of the features we need are out of the box or can be easily configured. There is however one feature that we absolutely need that seems to be well hidden (or missing) in Solr. I'll try to explain with an example. We have lots of documents that are actually businesses: <document> <name>Apache</name> <cat>1</cat> ... </document> <document> <name>McDonalds</name> <cat>2</cat> ... </document> In addition we have another xml file with all the categories and synonyms: <cat id=1> <name>software</name> <synonym>IT<synonym> </cat> <cat id=2> <name>fast food</name> <synonym>restaurant<synonym> </cat> We want to associate both businesses and categories so we can search using the name and/or synonyms of the category. But we do not want to merge these files at indexing time because we should update the categories (adding.remioving synonyms...) without indexing all the businesses again.   I have a 2D square in a ViewPort3D that I want to do a tiling of an image (like a checkerboard or flooring with "tiles" effect). I've created an image brush (the image is 50x50 pixels, the surface 250x550 pixels) and a viewport (trying to follow MS's site - though their example is for 2D), but only 1 of the colors in the "tile" image shows up and no tiling is seen. • Insert multiple line breaks into a JavaScript string (regex) (CodeMirror)

  I have a few strings and I would like to insert some line breaks into them at certain points. I figured out a few of the logistics but as a whole I can't seem to crack this problem, probably because I have limited experience with regex. Basically I have a long string of XML tags that is all on one line. I want to add line breaks at certain points to get the data more formatted and looking nice. I am using CodeMirror to display this data on a webpage but for some reason its all on line #1. So I need to go from something like this: <Sample><Name></Name><PhoneNumber><AreaCode></AreaCode><Number></Number></PhoneNumber></Sample> To something like this: <Sample> <Name></Name> <PhoneNumber> <AreaCode></AreaCode> <Number></Number> </PhoneNumber> </Sample> CodeMirror will take care of the rest of the formatting all I need to do is insert the line breaks in the right spot using regex or a loop of some sort. The Tags will or can change so I am guessing regex has to be used. I have had success inserting line breaks with \n and &#xD but can't seem to get regex to detect the proper locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. UPDATE I overlooked this but the brackets are in fact being sent as < and > So example tag would look like: &lt;PhoneNumber&gt; or &lt;/PhoneNumber&gt; So basically need to insert a \n after every &gt; that is a closing tag or a beginning tag that contains children tags.

• Spring security and authentication provider

  I'm trying to implement Spring 3 Security in a project, but I can not get rid of the following error: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name '_authenticationManager': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No authentication providers were found in the application context This seems weird, as I did provide an authentication provider! I've added these lines to web. <filter> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <filter-class>org.springframework.web.filter.DelegatingFilterProxy</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> And this is my applicationContext-security.xml: <http auto-config="false"> <intercept-url pattern="/**" access="ROLE_USER" /> <http-basic /> </http> <authentication-manager alias="authenticationManager"> <authentication-provider> <user-service> <user name="jimi" password="jimispassword" authorities="ROLE_USER, ROLE_ADMIN"/> <user name="bob" password="bobspassword" authorities="ROLE_USER"/> </user-service> </authentication-provider> </authentication-manager> Google couldn't help me much further, nor could the official documentation.
