  • Downloading large files with AFNetworking

    I'm trying to implement downloading of a large file and show to user current progress, but block in: -[AFURLConnectionOperation setDownloadProgressBlock:] returns incorrect bytesRead and totalBytesRead values (they are smaller than they should be). For example: If I have a 90MB file and when it downloads completely, latest block invocation in setDownloadProgressBlock: gives me totalBytesRead value about 30MB. On other side, if file is 2MB large, latest block invocation gives correct totalBytesRead 2MB value. AFNetworking is updated to the latest version from github. If AFNetworking can't do it correctly, what solution can I use? Edit: I've determined that even if file is not downloaded completely (and this happens every time with relatively big file) AFNetworking calls success block in: -[AFHTTPRequestOperation setCompletionBlockWithSuccess:failure] I asked a similar question here about this situation, but didn't get any answers. I can check in code downloaded and real file sizes, but AFNetworking has no API for continuation of partial download.

  • c# GUI changing a listbox from another class

    I've written a multithreaded server that uses tcplistener and a client handler class that controls input and output. I also have a GUI chat client. The chat client works fine and the console version of the server also works well. I have a start() method in the partial(?) Form class, which I run from a new thread when I click a button, that starts the TCP Listener and loops through and accepts socket requests. For every request a new ClientHandler object is created and the socket is passed to this object before being used in a new handler thread. The ClientHandler is a different class to the form and I'm having real problems writing data to the Listbox in the Form class from within the ClientHandler class. I've tried a few different ways of doing this but none of them work as they involve creating a new form class within the ClientHandler. Any help or advice on what I should be reading to help me would be really appreciated.

    Hi, I'm repeating my question because the prior one under this topic was lost. Could you please help me? I want to use MicrosoftReportViewer for Web Forms so that the DataSource be set programmatically. There is some sample code on the Internet for Windows Forms but I haven't found anything for Web Forms. For example, here is some code I've tried to use. It gives no errors but nothing is displayed. How should I modify the code to display a table in the ReportViewer?   • Prepopulate jQuery Data in html

    jQuery has the very cool feature/method ".data", i wonder if there is a way to have the data in the code so that jQuery can use it when the rendering of html is done. Suppose i have a repeater and looping out children, and i want to add some data to those children without using classes etc. Will i have to add javascript to that repeater just to add stuff to the "data of jquery" or is there some better way?

  • Collectable<T> serialization, Root Namespaces on T in .xml files.

    I have a Repository Class with the following method... public T Single<T>(Predicate<T> expression) { using (var list = (Models.Collectable<T>)System.Xml.Serializer.Deserialize(typeof(Models.Collectable<T>), FileName)) { return list.Find(expression); } } Where Collectable is defined.. [Serializable] public class Collectable<T> : List<T>, IDisposable { public Collectable() { } public void Dispose() { } } And an Item that uses it is defined.. [Serializable] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot("Titles")] public partial class Titles : Collectable<Title> { } The problem is when I call the method, it expects "Collectable" to be the XmlRoot, but the XmlRoot is "Titles" (all of object Title). I have several classes that are collected in .xml files like this, but it seems pointless to rewrite the basic methods for loading each up when the generic accessors do it - but how can I enforce the proper root name for each file without hard coding methods for each one? The [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot] seems to be ignored.

  • Is it possible to split a form into multiple erb modules?

    I have a large form with multiple tabs and would like to be able to split it into multiple modules and include each as a partial. Something like: main.html.erb: <%= form_for (@myobject) do |f| %> <%= render "module1" %> .... module1.html.erb: <%= f.text_field :field1 %> ... Needless to say, when I do it like this I get an error from module1 that "f" is undefined. Is there a way to split form fields into multiple modules?

    I'm using Nunit for unit testing, and added another project called "Unit Testing" to my current solution. I referenced Nunit, and changed the Namespace to the same namespace used in the main project. I can't seem to figure out how to get access to all the classes, files, etc in the main project.     Given I have data like the following, how can I select and group by portions of a string? Version Users 1.1.1 1 1.1.23 3 1.1.45 1 2.1.24 3 2.1.12 1 2.1.45 3 3.1.10 1 3.1.23 3 What I want is to sum up the users using version 1.1.x and 2.2.x and 3.3.x etc, but I'm not sure how I can group on a partial string in a select statement. edit What the data should return like is this: Version Users 1.1.XX 5 2.1.XX 7 3.1.XX 4 There is an infinite variable number of versions, some are in this format (major, minor, build) some are just major, minor and some are just major, the only time I want to "roll up" the versions is when there is a build.

    When globalizing a wpf application with static resx classes, it's very easy to miss the odd label or button that has its Content property set to a hard coded string in a particular language, ie English. These should of course be moved off to a {x:Static ...} so they can be localised for each culture. Are there any tools which can spot this and warn you? Built in to VS would be ideal, but I'm thinking that 'style cop' type build tools would do the job as well.

    I have a Workout model that has and belongs to many Equipment models. I have an array of some Equipment IDs. I want to find all Workouts that don't have any Equipment assigned that matches any of the array of Equipment IDs. So, if my array = [2,3,5] I want to find all workouts where the assigned equipment ids does not include 2, 3 or 5. EDIT: Workout.joins(:equipment).where("equipment.id not in(?)",[2,3,5]).uniq Assuming five instances of Equipment, the code above returns workouts with equipment.ids 1 and 4 (good), but also returns partial matches for example Workouts with equipment.id = [1,2], [1,2,3].
