• Solr DataImportHandler configuration

  I want to get data from mysql database with the help of DataImportHandler so i can create indexes. Now I've configured my Solr instance so that it works on Tomcat (the example admin page), but if I try to change the sorlconfig.xml file i'll get the error message. I'm working with Solr 3.6 So my configuration is: In solrconfig.xml i added: <dataDir>${solr.data.dir:/usr/share/tomcat7/solr2}</dataDir> to specify my working directory and then <requestHandler name="/dataimport" class="org.apache.solr.handler.dataimport.DataImportHandler"> <lst name="defaults"> <str name="config">/usr/share/tomcat7/solr2/conf/data-config.xml</str> </lst> </requestHandler> to specify new request handler. Theese two are my lib directives for DIH.   I have a requirement where I have to display some data (from a custom db) and let the user export it to an excel file. I decided to use the ReportViewer control present in Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer. I added the required assembly to the project references and I add the following code to test it out protected override void CreateChildControls() { base.CreateChildControls(); objRV = new Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer(); objRV.ID = "objRV"; this.Controls.Add(objRV); } The first error asked me to add this line in the web.config which I did and the next error says The type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.Analytics.UI.ReportViewerMessages, Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' does not implement IReportViewerMessages Is it possible to use ReportViewer in my custom Web Part? I rather not bind a repeater and write my own export to excel code. I want to use something which is already built by Microsoft? Any ideas on what I can reuse?   I'm trying to install Android SDK on Ubuntu but fail when I try to use the SDK Manager and AVD Manager to install Android platforms. I've downloaded: android-sdk_r04-linux_86.tgz The I start the SDK Manager and AVD Manager (UI) according to the README file: ./tools/android And I get the following Installed Packages: - Install SDK Tools, revision 4 Available Packages: - https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repoisotry/repository.xml - This repository requires a more recent version of the Tools. Please update- - Android SDK Tools, revision 4 - Archive for Linux (comment: funny since rev 4 seems to be what's installed this is what seems to be installed) Now doing an update of the Android SDK Tools, revision 4 or everything results in 99% progress and then the application hangs.   Hi, I'm having problem with MS Chart chart type column. If there are only 9 bar in the chart like the following picture, then the axis-x label show up properly. However, there are more than 9 bars bar the chart, the axis-x label wont show up properly, some of them just dissappear.   I am working on an open-source application called FrontlineSMS which can be interfaced with GSM modems to send and receive SMS. The windows installer that is available through their website works fine. Since i wanted to modify it, I got the source code and built the jar and tried to launch it. • WCF "The server did not provide a meaningful reply"

  I am out of ideas here, so I'm hoping someone can help. Here is what I've got: A WCF service that only has a basicHttpBinding endpoint. There is only a service interface, all other [DataMember], [FaultContract] are concrete types. When I run it straight from Visual Studio (using WCF Test Client or my custom app) everything works (I send a request and get a response). This usually takes a second or two. I published it to an IIS 6 server. I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc?WSDL I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc/mex (same output as above) The WCF Test Client and my custom app can successfully add the service reference Whenever I try to call a service method it waits for about 15 seconds and I get the dreaded "no meaningful reply" error. I ran Fiddler and I got a 202 result, which would seem like a success. It's not returning more than 65536 bytes It's returning an array, but it is small I tried remote debugging, but can't get that to work, probably due to a firewall (but port 80 is open, I can get the WSDL) I enabled system.diagnostics, nothing. I have an IErrorHandler which normally logs things, nothing.   Hi all I did a year's worth of Pascal, Visual Basic and C++ 15 years ago, so suffice it to say that I'm a complete n00b & lamer when it comes to this. I really do hope that this question doesn't canned, but if it does, please be so kind as to point me in the direction of where it should be posted. I have an idea, like so many others, for a web app. I don't necessarily have the capital to outsource the development of the app right now, and I probably wouldn't want to, since non-disclosure agreements can be expensive to enforce, especially in this day and age of intercontinental outsourcing. I need the app to be usable on any mobile device (eventually), primarily on the major mobile platforms at first, on the web, (pc/mac/*ix) obviously, on mobile web browsers like opera mobile, etc. I envisage the app interacting with the major social networks like fb, orkut, msn im, twitter, et al in a way where friend's are messaged and/or wall posted, a message is posted to the users wall. Geo-location functionality is a plus, considering the service/app can be location sensitive in two ways, 1, the immediate location of the user, 2. the desired location of the user. I'd like to incorporate OpenID sign on, and the flip-side, the service will require that people (service providers) list their specialities/specialisations/interests/areas of expertise, so that matches to user requests can be made by the service, while users' requests are posted into the web universe. I've probably described a glut of apps out there, but I'd appreciate feedback on the sort of platform that I should look at using, be it hosted on something like Google's app engine, or written in android friendly code, or whatever. I'm a firm believer in herd mentality, especially at the start of a project that I have very little experience in. The more opinions, the merrier!   As per the thread title I want to programmatically set the ContextKey of an AutoComplete Extender placed in a gridviews footer row. Background is I have a data model that has Territory and Journey Plans for those territories. Customers need to be added to the journey plans but only those customers that belong to the Territory that owns the Journey Plan. In the footer row of my grid I have added a textbox which allows a user to enter account code of customer. Attached to this textbox is an autocomplete extender. I need to do a select against the db for customers with account code like prefix where customer in territory. But there is no way to provide territory id. • WPF Ignoring ProgressBar Style

  Following a problem in WPF 4 where the default ProgressBar template has an off-white highlight applied causing it to dull the foreground colour, I decided to extract the template and manually edit the values to white. After doing this, I put the template as a style in App.xaml for global use and the Visual Studio designer began to use it right away. However, when I run my app, the default style is still being applied: I then tried setting the style specifically using a key, then even having it as an inline style and finally as a inline template without a wrapping style for the specific progress bar and it is still ignored. What's going wrong? • Why does Adding Core Animation slow down drawing of my NSTableView?

  I have a simple App that displays a list of items using NSTableView. There are usually about 15-25 items in the list, and the table has 10 columns, all but one of which are text (the other's an icon.) There are simple data transformers on a couple of the columns. So nothing taxing; you'd expect it to run just fine. And as it stands, it is; the app is responsive and everything draws pretty much instantly. Scrolling, changing column sizes, resizing the window; whatever you do the redraws keep up with the mouse-pointer. Tonight, I thought I'd try adding a little visual flair to the app with Core Animation (which I've never used before,) but I've found that if anything above the NSTableView in the hierarchy is set 'Wants Core Animation Layer,' then the NSTableView redraws go to hell. Scrolling is usually fine, but resizing columns or the window causes it to pick up an effect like texture tearing, where some of the rows have the new size, and some have the old one, and everything flickers horribly. It looks terrible. Basically it looks like what you'd expect if rendering the individual rows or columns was taking a long time. I've put it through Shark and, sure enough, it looks like it's spending most of its time drawing the text in the cells; what I don't understand is why that should take longer when there's a Core Animation layer involved than when there isn't - and quite noticeably longer at that. Has anyone got any ideas? Is there any Core Animation initialisation or config I've missed or something (I've literally just ticked the "Wants Core Animation Layer" box in IB)? Cheers, Will

In the Firefox case, my jQuery.ajax parameters 'success' method is invoked, but the supplied data is null. (In Safari, I receive a boatload of JSON data).   Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to do something similar to the twitter silverlight app that Scott Guthrie demoed recently in WPF: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/03/18/building-a-windows-phone-7-twitter-application-using-silverlight.aspx Unfortunately, I seem to be having a hard time understanding the wpf layout system in some fundamental way. I've been trying various combinations of horizontalalignment/stretch, width/auto at different levels in the hierarchy, and I can't seem to get the "message" textblock to wrap without assigning an explicit width. • NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest: fails when using POST

  I'm using a custom NSURLCache to intercept calls for certain web pages in order to modify them dynamically. Inside cachedResponseForRequest: I modify the request, then send it out using sendSynchronousRequest. This works very well until you attempt to submit a form. If there is post data it fails. If i remove the HTTPBody and set the request to GET, it succeeds. But i need it to work with POST. If i send the request asynchronously it also works which is why i can't figure out why the synchronous request fails. This must be a common problem, and I know for a fact it works in theory (see links below), but I have failed to get it working, and I haven't been able to find a code sample that demonstrates it. Requirements: WCF Clients connects to server through tcp port 80 (netTcpBinding). Server pushes back information at irregular intervals (1 min to several hours). Users should not have to configure their firewalls, server pushes must pass through firewalls that have all inbound ports closed. TCP duplex on the same connection is needed for this, a dual binding does not work since a port has to be opened on the client firewall. Clients sends heartbeats to server at regular intervals (perhaps every 15 mins) so server knows client is still alive. Server is IIS7 with WAS. The solution seems to be duplex netTcpBinding. Based on this information: WCF through firewalls and NATs Keeping connections open in IIS But I have yet to find a code sample that works.. I've tried combining the "Duplex" and "TcpActivation" samples from Microsoft's WCF Samples without any luck. Please can someone point me to example code that works, or build a small sample app. Thanks a lot!

• Ruby Gems Not Installing, Hangs While Getting Gems

  I recently cleared out all of my ruby install and installed form sources using the instructions at hivelogic I have have been able to install a few gems, but most of the time, "sudo gem install rails" hangs. I've added the -V flag, and it just seems to hang, I don't get any error. And the process can not be killed. I can only reboot to kill the process. • Zend Studio Debugger returns Application Error

  When I run debug for my public/index.php I got an application error as output. I've seen that it occurs at this line: foreach($feed->findFeedEntries($entriesLimit) as $entry) If I put a breakpoint before this, all works as expected, I mean, the error is after the line above. If I remove findFeedEntries() method, I can perform debugging without erros. The details of the relationship between to two are described in ECMA 262 (3rd edition) and are beyond the scope of this discussion. What are the details of the relationship between the two? I've browsed through ECMA 262 and all I've read there is stuff like: The constructor’s associated prototype can be referenced by the program expression constructor.prototype, Native ECMAScript objects have an internal property called [[Prototype]]. The value of this property is either null or an object and is used for implementing inheritance. Every built-in function and every built-in constructor has the Function prototype object, which is the initial value of the expression Function.prototype Every built-in prototype object has the Object prototype object, which is the initial value of the expression Object.prototype (15.3.2.1), as the value of its internal [[Prototype]] property, except the Object prototype object itself. From this all I gather is that the [[Prototype]] property is equivalent to the prototype property for pretty much any object. Am I mistaken?

• Apache Mina Server Restart java.net.BindException: Address already in use

  Hello, I have a rather annoying problem in my server application. I bind Apache Mina with the following code: acceptor.bind(new InetSocketAddress(PORT)); Where acceptor is an NioSocketAcceptor. Over a HTTP interface I can shutdown the server so I can restart it. Server.ioAcceptor.unbind(new InetSocketAddress(Server.PORT)); for(IoSession session: Server.ioAcceptor.getManagedSessions().values()){ if(session.isConnected() && !session.isClosing()){ session.close(false); } } Server.ioAcceptor.dispose(); Main.transport.stop(); Logger.getRootLogger().warn("System going down. Request from "+context.getRemoteAddress()); System.exit(10); This is the code I use to stop the Mina server. However if I try to start the server again in the next couple of minutes. (Somewhere between 5 minutes and 15 minutes) I get the following exception on start up: java.net.BindException: Address already in use I also tried a simple ioAcceptor.unbind() but there was no difference. The server runs on Centos 5 with OpenJDK. Apache Mina version is 2.0 RC1. Thank you in advance for any ideas on how to resolve this.
