  Possible Duplicate: Is there a maximum size that web pages should be kept under? What is the ideal file size for a web page? Specifically when it comes to image sizes, what's the total file size for a webpage which includes several images. I tend to compress images down as much as possible before it starts to visually lose quality. We run several CMS website's and the clients tend to ask this question a lot!   I own a domain containing a trademarked word. I don't want to get into trouble with the trademark owner so my plan is to use the domain to display information (wiki-style) about the service the trademark owner provides. My question is whether I can display ads on this website to make money. For example, let's say I own Google.org (Google being a trademark). On this domain I would write about the real Google (history, business etc.) Can I get into trouble for having ads on this page including ones that promote other search engines (Yahoo, Bing, etc.).

In Cpanel I can check all things like stats, unique visitor etc and in google analytics its almost same but if I want sponsor for my site then is it necessary to have google analytics? or can cpanel stats be shown to sponsor? • Facebook Insights numbers don't add up

  I'm having trouble understanding the Facebook stats for a Fan page under reach as they don't seem to add up. Under the reach tab, if I expand the countries demographics at the top, then the countries listed add up to around 16k people. But scrolling down under reach, the graph reaches as high as 260k in a particular week. From what they say, it seems that both the graph and demographics are talking about unique users, so where are the other 244k unique users that are in the graph but seemingly not from any country on Earth?

  Possible Duplicate: How to SEO a Single-Page website I created an online CV of mine a couple of weeks ago and it has had quite a few visits. Now I want to improve the chance it will appear in google search results; however, my web CV is a one-paged site and it contains only internal links (those with hash #) so I can't really submit a sitemap. I could have changed the internal links to normal links to be processed on server-side, but there's no point of doing so. I'm very new to web SEO so I would really appreciate if somebody can show me what should I do with a single-paged site with internal links to be effectively indexed by crawlers.

  I have a news website and on most posts the first paragraph is in bold. Currently the authors are just using <strong> to bold the paragraph, would it be better from an SEO point of view to rather use a paragraph class that is styled with p.bold {font-weight:bold;} <p class="bold">. Does <strong> on the first paragraph send the wrong message to search engines? The text is important but the main reason it is in bold is because it is the opening paragraph.   I'm writing a basic CMS for one of my sites and have run into an issue where some pages need to dynamically serve PHP and JS, where as others are plain HTMl. I want there to be a setting which will allow this for the pages that need it and will load ACE editor instead of a different wysiwyg editor. The challenge here is that on the pages which I do not explicitly tell it there will be code, I want to reject any inputs that code. I can set it up to insert a for all pages without JS, but how can I keep php code from running?

• How to clean unused app files

  I've finished working on a web app and looking back at the process, I can see that a lot of extra files have been accumulated - backup css, php files, javascripts, images. I'm using an MVC workflow (codeigniter) and I would like to clean the app from unused files. There are also libraries which I've downloaded but referenced some of the files in my code, yet I've kept the unused files too. Total mess really, I'll take a note for the next app to become more organized. There is also a fair security concern regarding these sorts of situations, plus I think that it would be better to omit all the extra files when search engines are indexing the app. Has anyone been in that situation and what is the safest/fastest way to clean the app?   Since 2009, Google counts nofollow links also as outgoing links, and thus reduces the value of the other links. What are some alternatives to stop Google counting outside links from my page? If I make links appear on my page source like this: <span hrefs="http://link" rel="nofollow" link="true">Link Name</span> and then in JavaScript replace span with a tag and replace hrefs with href for every span tag that has link="true".   I am starting an e-commerce marketplace. I am new to e-commerce, but I am taking it up as a challenge. I will have multiple vendors on my site and they will upload their products through CSV files for bulk upload. However there will be certain popular products already listed in the database, they can add those to their listing (like Amazon for 3rd party sellers). I have no idea how to assign product codes for every product, can you help me out? I'm talking about something like Amazon's ASIN number. • Analytics - Total events divided by number of unique pages?

  I am using Google Analytics events to track keywords on my articles - not necessarily the best system I know but there are too many for variables I can't easily change it right now - and I would like to be able to see how popular each keyword is by dividing the number of page views with a keyword by the number of unique pages. Is there a/what is the best way of doing this? EDIT FOR CLARITY I currently have a system set up where every time somebody loads an article an event is fired for each of the tags/keywords used, with the keyword being the label. I can currently view my view count for each of the keywords by looking at the total events for each label, however I would like to be able to see which keywords are the most popular by dividing the number of times the event has been fired by the the number of different pages it has been fired from.

• Changing AdWords campaign structure

  I've been running a campaign for about a year and a half now and the campaign has been setup by location. I'd have one campaign targeted for a specific region. And then I would duplicate the ad groups for each campaign. I have 5 ad groups targeting different areas of my business). This has worked reasonably well. It just occurred to me that it might easier if the campaign structure were reversed: 5 campaigns: each campaign focused on a different area of business and divided into 20+ adgroups (based on location).   We're currently building a new responsive website. While working on the site map, we figured that we don't want to show certain sections on mobile devices. This can be easily done by hiding the navigation parts using CSS/media queries. However, the trouble is that the hidden sites would still show up in search engine results. If a user happens to click on one of these links she might happen to see a badly formatted page as we'd use desktop/tablet only code to show images and video. Is there any way influence the search engines to exclude certain pages if the search is done on a mobile device? Do search engines crawl pages once or with a device specific view twice? Could we set a noindex meta tag for a specific device class?
