  • jQuery UI Tabs customization for many tabs

    I'd like to implement a tab bar using jquery-ui-tabs that has been customised to work like it does on HootSuite. Try this on HootSuite to see what I mean: Log in to your hootsuite.com account Click the + symbol to the right of your tabs Add tabs named "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" until a "More..." tab appears You'll see this: HootSuite includes the following features, all of which I would like to do: Fit as many tabs as possible onto the screen. Users with larger screens would see more tabs. If they run out of space, a "More..." tab would appear with a drop-down list Clicking onto the More tab would drop down a list of additional tabs Tabs can be dragged and rearranged. Tabs in the More drop-down list can be dragged to the tab bar Delete tabs with a small X next to the tab name Add tabs with a + icon to the right of the last tab I already have a tab bar working that does 4 and 6. I found a Paging Tab Plugin which is pretty cool, but works differently. Does anyone know of plugins or techniques that would help me accomplish the above? My thought is to not really make the More tab a real tab, but just an object that looks like a tab. I'd add logic to the tabs.add method to calculate if another tab can fit. If it can't, then I would add the details of the tab to my separate "More" list. There'd be a fair amount of effort to get this all working, so if there are any plugins that would help, I'd love to hear about them.

    Hello fellow Grails Developers! I was wondering if you could help me with what must be a very common issue. I have come from a world of Java and eclipse where JavaDocs and APIs are at your fingertips. Grails has some great features and plugins but I find their inner workings completely undescoverable and that makes me sad. Take for example the excellent authentication plugin, I set this up using the brief but accurate doc. Is there any way of making the core Grails API more accessible / searchable? Autocomplete also doesn't seem to work for me in eclipse so if anyone has this working that would be ideal (It's an extension of the same question really). What's your approach?   • Creating a single CRM plugin DLL to store in the CRM database

    Since the suggested way of storing plugins in MS CRM is via the CRM database, I figured it's about time to do something about the method I'm currently using, which is storing the DLLs on the disk. The trouble however is that I don't know how to embed all the other various bits that are needed by the DLL: the localization resource files (which are kept in another folder) and some referenced DLLs from the latest SDK (which had to be manually placed in the bin\assembly folder). At this point, I'm not even entirely sure this is possible. So far I've tried to solve the localization problem by changing the build action on the resource files to "Content" or "Resource" and tested this solution (still keeping the location on-disk, but without the added localization folder). This didn't work: when I purposely generated a validation error in one of the plugins, I got the default language message (English) despite having a different language selected in the CRM. I've faced a similar problem when trying to add some of the referenced DLL files (namely the new SDK DLLs: xrm.portal, xrm.portal.files and xrm.client). When I tried to store the plugin in the database (skipping for a moment the localization issue), I got a CRM error saying it cannot find the XRM.Client assembly or one of it's dependencies. I know I could use ILMerge to put the whole thing together, but I've got a gut feeling telling me this isn't really a good idea. Any hints or suggestions on this issue would be great.

  • Objective-C function dispatch collisions; Or, how to achieve "namespaces"?

    I have an application for Mac OS X that supports plugins that are intended to be loaded at the same time. Some of these plugins are built on top of a Cocoa framework that may receive updates in one plugin but not another. Given Objective-C's current method for function dispatching, any call from any plugin to a given Objective-C routine will go to the same routine every time. That means plugin A can find itself inside plugin B with a trivial Objective-C call! Obviously what we're looking for is for each plugin to interact with its own version of the framework upon which it was built. I have been reading some on Objective-C and this particular need, but haven't found a definitive solution for it yet. Update: My use of the word "framework" above is misleading: the framework is a statically-linked library, built into the plugin(s) that need it. The way Objective-C handles dispatching, however, even these statically linked pieces of disparate code will co-mingle in the Objective-C dispatcher, leading to unintended consequences. Update 2: I'm still a bit fuzzy on the answer provided here, as it doesn't seem to propose a solution as much as an unproven hypothesis.

I am calling these private methods using the apply(this, arguments) pattern. Is there a way of designing my plugin such that I don't have to call apply to pass this from method to method?   • errors deploying an EAR with EJBs 2.1 into JBoss AS5

    Hi, I'm porting an application with EJBs 2.1 from Weblogic9 to JBoss AS5. I have made some of the changes like adding jboss.xml descriptors to EJBs and fixing application.xml of the EAR, but there are still problems when deploying the EAR.   • Internationalized strings in Eclipse plugin.xml file are not found when installed in Eclipse applica

    Hi, I have created 2 plugins, implementing an ODA driver plugin and its UI plugin for the BIRT extension to Eclipse. My plugins both work as expected when eclipse starts up another eclipse application where I can then test the plugins I am developing. However, when I install my plugins into an Eclipse application and then start it from a Windows shortcut, the plugins work but and language keys specified in the plugin.xml files are not found. For example, in my plugin.xml file for the ODA Driver plugin I set the attributes 'id' to '%oda.data.source.id' and the data source 'defaultDisplayName' to '%data.source.name'. I then, in a file 'language.properties', have defined the values for both of these keys (where the keys don't have the preceeding % character). When running the plugins that have been installed into the dropins/plugins directory of an Eclipse application, the wizard for creating my ODA data source names is as '%data.source.name' and saves the data source in the rptdesign (XML) file with an ID of '%oda.data.source.id'. Since 'language' is not the default name for the properties file I went into the manifest for both plugins and changed the 'Bundle-Localization' attribute to 'language'. The language file is located in the root directory of both of my plugins. The properties file is definitely found, since I use the two language files to store other strings used by the plugins, looked up using a java ResourceBundle. The strings are always found whether the plugins are run from Eclipse application loading another, or when properly installed in the dropins/plugins directory of an Eclipse application. Why are the installed plugins not finding language keys reference in the plugin.xml files? There are not errors in the logs and the language.properties files are clearly accessible...     I would like to use ErlyBird, so I downloaded the latest Netbeans (6.8), and then downloaded and unzipped ErlyBird. After that I imported the plugins in Netbeans, but during installation I was prompted with: Warning - could not install some modules: Erlang Project - The module named org.netbeans.modules.parsing.api was needed and not found. Erlang Editor - The module named org.netbeans.modules.parsing.api was needed and not found. Another module could not be installed due to the above problems. Is there a workaround to this?

  • How to monkeypatch Issue model in Redmine from a plugin, specifically redmine_task_board

    I'm trying to add a custom sort method to the Issue.rb model in Redmine from the redmine_task_board plugin. My commit on github I don't know if this is a lack of knowledge about Rails plugins on my part or something specific I have to do with Redmine. Redmine 0.8.6.stable I want this method so that when I show the Task Board show method from tasks_board_controller I can sort the tickets in each column by Issue.priority.position.     I'm trying to implement the Paypal Plugin for Phonegap (Iphone) - (https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins/tree/master/iPhone/PayPalPlugin). I've followed all the instructions but I get thefollowing error on build from the SAIOSPaypalPlugin.h file - Lexical or Preprocessor issue - PGPlugin.h not found I'm using latest Cordova version freshly downloaded from Phonegap site just weeks ago, so I'm not sure whats missing?
