I bound it to file /Users/taw/bin/new_term, which contains: #!/bin/sh exec osascript -e 'tell application "Terminal" to do script "cd ."' This does the trick, except it also opens a Terminal window with this (even though Terminal.app is configured to always close windows when processes finish): Last login: Thu Mar 11 19:41:29 on ttys000 /Users/taw/bin/new_term ; exit; ~$ /Users/taw/bin/new_term ; exit; tab 1 logout [Process completed] How do I make it all work correctly?   • How can I preview various Google services in Firefox?

    With iGoogle shut down I haven't been able to replicate my homepage through other services. I'm not asking for a generic replacement for iGoogle, but how to accomplish a specific use case whether through a third-party dashboard, browser extension, or some DIY solution. I need an interactive Gmail inbox, Gmail Tasks, and Google Calendar in the same Firefox tab. If hosted by a third party, they need to authenticate safely using the Google account that I am logged in with. Other widgets would be useful but I only require those Google services. I'm using Gmail itself for now but there is hardly room for the other widgets in the sidebar. Both Google Sites and igHome won't reliably load the services, especially Tasks. Netvibes requires raw login information for third-party services.

  • IIS 6 windows 2003 help installing SSL cert

    I requested a new ssl cert from godaddy which has been issued. When try to install it in iis through the website directory security tab i get a "the pending certificate request for this response file was not found. this request may be cancelled. you cannot install selected response certificate using this wizard" error. I may have run the wizard and deleted the pending request. Is there any way i can install the certificate without getting a new one? (i hope so) I have the original certrequest.txt file

  • NuGet Update Error?

    Using the NuGet package manager dialog at the solution level in the normal course of updating a package reference once the process is complete there is a green tick on the item and the update button disappears. However, with certain of my packages the update process completes, as far as I can tell successfully, but no green tick and the update button remains. Press it again and the next dialog shows that no projects require an update for that package. Am I missing something here or is this a bug?

  • Favicon on gmail has changed from the envelope to a black gun. How do i change it back and why did i

    I think my gmail account might have been hacked because I've recently noticed a change in the favicon displayed in the url and the tab, when I logged onto my gmail account. It used to be the common red and white envelope and now it's a black gun. Can anyone tell if this is enough to conclude that my account has been hacked or tampered with? I know someone that would be capable and most probably willing to cause problems to my account among other things. This would be my opsessive ex who's best friend is a hacker. Can anyone help? I need to know if someone has reigns to my computer. And how do I change the favicon back to its orginial image? The black gun really bothers me. Thanks everyone!!!

  • Copssh, how to add users?

    I installed copssh on Windows Vista (64-bit) here, and the installation seemed to go fine. It requires you to explicitly add users to log in, which is fine, so I opened the COPSSH Control Panel (really just an app), went to the Users tab, clicked Add, Forward, and the "User:" popup is empty. The "Domain:" popup has exactly one entry: my computer name. The "Documentation" shortcut in the start menu group is broken, but I found the folder it's supposed to point to, and I only see docs for command-line tools (which I'll investigate next). Is there something I'm missing? Is the COPSSH Control Panel just plain broken?

    I'm using JQUERY animate to show a banner at the top of the page, which is a DIV that is set to top -60 to hide it. I'm using the following JS call to show the div: // Animation $('#message-dock').animate({ top: 0 }, 500, function() { // Animation complete. }); What I can't figure out is for some reason there is an unwanted delay before I start seeing the div and I can't figure out why?   • Un-table a cell range in Excel 2007

    In Excel 2007, if you highlight a block of cells and then "Format as Table", it doesn't just apply colors and formatting, it somehow marks those cells as being a table. Now I want to get rid of the table, but keep all the cells (i.e. keep the data). So I tried clearing the table style and formatting, but Excel still recognizes those cells as being a table. I can tell because: When I select a cell that was in the table, Excel still displays the "Table Tools / Design" tab I cannot merge cells that were in the table <- this is what's annoying me So, how do I un-table those cells? I want to keep all the cell data and formatting, but have Excel not recognize them as a table.

  • Logging another person off in Windows 7 using Task Manager

    Under WinXP, I could use Task Manager's Users tab to log off my wife's account which she always leaves logged in so I don't have to log in to her account and log it out. It's an older machine so I used that trick to free up every resource I could which might potentially slow down the game I'm playing at the time. I recently upgraded the machine to Win7 and when I try the same trick, I get an access denied popup. My logged in account does have Admin rights, so is it as simple as runing Task Manager "as an Administrator" in order to allow this? If so, how can I pull up Task Manager (other than the standard CTRL-ALT-DELETE) to have it pop up with Admin rights in order to log her account off in this manner?

So,basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion.     I have an iPhone app that I have started to turn into a universal app, however the process is not complete and I want to release an update to the iPhone version. I know that you can specify device capabilities in the Info.plist file to restrict your app to certain devices, but how can I do this to prevent the unfinished universal version from appearing in the iPad store? Is checking the LSRequiresiPhoneOS BOOL entry (in the Info.plist file) enough? Thanks!

  • Firefox tabs in titlebar - can't drag maximised windows across monitors

    In Windows 7, you can drag a maximised window from one monitor to the next by dragging the titlebar. However, Firefox 4 now places tabs in the title bar when it's maximised. This means that when I try and drag my Firefox window to the other monitor I end up dragging a tab instead of the whole Firefox window. It's quite annoying, as I'm used to "flicking" Windows from one monitor to the next. Does anyone know a way to stop Firefox from using the title bar for tabs?

  • Need to hide displayed div when I show others

    I am stuck. I have a page with 3 buttons, the 3 buttons do a couple things - they change the style of a div, and they also show/hide a content div. The changing of the div style works fine, but I am having issues with the content div. If you land on the page and click the "Our Brands" tab, then click the other 2 tabs, it works fine.   • Adding a second IP address for IIS - static vs dynamic A records

    I'm looking to add a second IP address to IIS so that I can run two sites with different SSL certificates. When I added one on my play box and ran ipconfig /registerdns both addresses were registered in DNS with the server's name. So, I deleted the A record for the new IP address and rebooted. That also registered both names. So, then I went into the network config for the adapter and, on the DNS tab, unchecked "Register this connection's addresses in DNS". I deleted the A record for the new IP address again and re-ran ipconfig /registerdns. This time, it deleted the A record for the old IP address and didn't created one for the new address. Neither of these is what I want: I want the main IP address to be registered and refreshed automatically as a dynamic DNS record and the second IP address to be registered and managed as a static address. Is there any way to achieve this?
