  • Restricting URL w.r.t HTTP method and setting different authentication mechanism for each

    I shall start with an example. I want to restrict to POST requests only for http://path/to/logical/abc.xml and restrict to GET only for http://path/to/logical/def.xml. How do I put constraints like this as the paths are logical and location directive is not supported in .htaccess? The actual problem is to set different authentication type(basic, digest) on diff logical file.for eg. for abc.xml I want to authenticate for Basic type of authentication and def.xml with digest.

    looking at the code of Joomla I see that in the first line of the index, it defines the base path of installation with the dirname(FILE) is this a font of possible risk for the site, I mean if a non controlled error message show the internal path of the Joomla directory, because of, for example a failed include, can it be used to perform some kind of attack to the site ? If yes, is it convenient to use this function ? Any idea is welcome. Thanks

  • How do I parse file paths separated by a space in a string?

    Background: I am working in Automator on a wrapper to a command line utility. I need a way to separate an arbitrary number of file paths delimited by a single space from a single string, so that I may remove all but the first file path to pass to the program. Example input string: /Users/bobby/diddy dum/ding.mp4 /Users/jimmy/gone mia/come back jimmy.mp3 ... Desired output: /Users/bobby/diddy dum/ding.mp4 Part of the problem is the inflexibility on the Automator end of things. I'm using an Automator action which returns unescaped POSIX filepaths delimited by a space (or comma). This is unfortunate because: 1. I cannot ensure file/folder names will not contain either a space or comma, and 2. the only inadmissible character in Mac OS X filenames (as far as I can tell) is :. There are options which allow me to enclose the file paths in double or single quotes, or angle brackets. The program itself accepts the argument of the aforementioned input string, so there must be a way of separating the paths. I just do not have a keen enough eye to see how to do it with sed or awk. At first I thought I'll just use sed to replace every [space]/ with [newline]/ and then trim all but the first line, but that leaves the loophole open for folders whose names end with a space. If I use the comma delimiter, the same happens, just for a comma instead. If I encapsulate in double or single quotation marks, I am opening another can of worms for filenames with those characters. The image/link is the relevant part of my Automator workflow. -- UPDATE -- I was able to achieve what I wanted in a rather roundabout way.     I am trying to install nginx on my server, however it keeps returning "./configure: error: perl 5.6.1 or higher is required" eventhough I have perl v5.8.8!!!!   • In search of a good audio player for Ubuntu 9.10

    If this should be marked Community Wiki, please let me know. I'm switching from XP to Ubuntu, and I have been very disappointed with the selection of media players available. I'm primarily interested in an audio player, but integrated video and library management is OK, too. My criteria: Must be able to play audio CDs (I'm shocked how many apps this does away with, right away) Must be able to play MP3 & WAV; OGG, SHN, FLAC are all bonuses Repeat and Shuffle modes are a must FreeDB / GraceNote through a proxy is a must (if it can read a PAC file, that would be awesome) It needs to be really small, e.g. skinnable or an applet Ability to execute a playlist is a plus Gapless MP3 playback a plus I'm running Gnome, but I'm not totally adverse to a KDE app. Command-line only is also a viable option. Some that I've tried: RhythmBox - probably the best of the lot that I've tried; I don't like its mini mode (doesn't show the song being played) and I can't figure out how to get it to hit FreeDB/GraceNote through a proxy Songbird - can't play CDs, playlist management is atrocious Banshee Jajuk Maybe a couple of more. Thanks! UPDATE I tried out VLC, Amarok and Songbord (again). VLC I eventually got to work (I had some kind of bad configuration). It seemed way more involved than I was looking for out of a music player, and in general more geared to video than audio. I couldn't fathom its library management, which I think it has; maybe it doesn't, and that's why I couldn't figure it out. Amaork looked very promising but the library management was not to my liking, and the way it handled a playlist with both MP3 and WAV is inexplicable at best. I did like some aspects of the UI, but not enough to keep it. Songbird is very finicky, but I like the library management. Sort of. It kept telling me my Watch folder was invalid, even thought it clearly was accessible. Playlist management is bizarre, and the message that it was deleting source files whenever I deleted a playlist had me too worried to keep using it. Had it been able to play CDs, maybe I would have persevered. Audacious, while a bit odd at times, does seem to do what I want. If it had a library manager, I wouldn't have bothered trying any of the others. Thanks for the help, everyone!

    I have been trying to create an FTP server on my new Server 2008. I have been following both (very detailed and highly published here guides) For setting up using IIS Manager http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/321/configure-ftp-with-iis-7-manager-authentication/ and For anonymous FTP http://www.trainsignaltraining.com/windows-server-2008-ftp-iis7 I am able to log as an anonymous user. My need is to use a named user, so I need to use the IIS Manager. I get error 530 when trying to log as a user. Connected to 127.0.0.1. 220 Microsoft FTP Service User (127.0.0.1:(none)): ftpmanager 331 Password required for ftpmanager. Password: 530-User cannot log in. Win32 error: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Error details: Filename: Error: 530 End Login failed. ftp> I can not learn from this message anything. My password is set to: 1234 (so I don't think I make a mistake here - testing purposes only ofc) Thank you. Note - I went over other posts on SE that I read, and couldn't get the result: IIS7 Windows Server 2008 FTP -> Response: 530 User cannot log in. FTP Error 530, User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible. Having trouble setting up FTP server on Windows Server 2008 EDIT I think I found some errors with the physical path. Going to Basic settings, and Test Connection on the physical path, gave me the following error: The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that \$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again. I am not sure which/whom should get access to the Root folder !? I want to point out, I managed to login with a domain user (change authorization and authentication methods) but this is NOT the requested solution. I checked to make sure that the FTP, folders, access is working properly. I am bit lost here. ==== More tries: I have enabled another Allow rule for ALL Users. I still get the same error. It seems that it doesn't matter if i use a correct or wrong password, I still get Error 530.

  • Where should I start with debugging my exchange server?

    I'm (foolishly?) attempting to install Exchange on top of Windows Server 2008 (64-bit) over Virtual Box running on Mac OSX Lion. Everything went smoothly until I got to the "Readiness Checks" tab. Readiness failed spectacularly on Hub Transport Role and Mailbox Role prereqs. Before I go too far down the rabbit hole in attempting to remedy this, I was hoping I could get some input on where to start in all of this. I already set up the following Active Directory roles, but it didn't seem to help: Active Directory Domain Services Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services I also enabled an Application Server role. Those three are the only roles I've set up-- I cannot locate within Server Manager the Organization Manager role or any of the other roles referenced in the list of borkedness below. Is this a typical experience in Exchange installation? Is there a tutorial created by somebody outside of Microsoft? I figured it might be someplace in my code, so I modified .htaccess to spit out a 502 error to prevent it from loading anything. The error still shows up, just less frequently.     I have a working copy, checked out from SVN repository. When i'm trying to commit, i get following error: svn: File not found: revision 57, path '/trunk/path/to/my/file/logo-mini.jpg' I've found this file in the repo and noticed, that it has only one revision - 58. I don't understand, why SVN complains about this file, when it is presented and why it points to revision 57 instead of 58 ? I've also renamed the grand-grand-grand-parent folder of this file.     I am seeing a strange issue where my php.ini is not used if I do not explicitly pass it to php-fpm when starting it. This is the upstart script I am using: start on (filesystem and net-device-up IFACE=lo) stop on runlevel [016] pre-start script mkdir -p /run/php end script expect fork respawn exec /usr/local/php/sbin/php-fpm --fpm-config /etc/php/php-fpm.conf If PHP is started with the above, my php.ini is never used, even though it is in Configuration File (php.ini) Path. This is the relevant part from phpinfo(): Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php/ Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files (none) Additional .ini files parsed (none) If I modify the last line of the upstart script to point php-fpm to php.ini explicitly: exec /usr/local/php/sbin/php-fpm --fpm-config /etc/php/php-fpm.conf -c /etc/php/php.ini Then we see that the php.ini is loaded: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php/ Loaded Configuration File /etc/php/php.ini Scan this dir for additional .ini files (none) Additional .ini files parsed (none) Why is this the case? Is this a quirk in php-fpm? Minor update: This also seems to be a problem for php5-fpm installed using apt-get. I did a test install in a Ubuntu Server 12.04 virtual machine by running the following: sudo apt-get install nginx php5-fpm PHP-FPM and nginx were started after installation and everything seemed fine. I then uncommented php's settings in nginx's configuration and placed a test phpinfo() file to inspect PHP's settings. The relevant bits are: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php5/fpm Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d Additional .ini files parsed /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d/10-pdo.ini I noted that no php.ini was loaded either. However, if I go to /etc/php5/fpm, I can see that a php.ini exists. I also checked the start up scripts for PHP-FPM and the -c parameter was not used to link the ini file to PHP. This can potentially be confusing for people who would expect php.ini to be loaded automatically by PHP-FPM.

    We have an RHEL5 server that I'm trying to install PHP-Mcrypt on and I'm stuck when I tried to run ./configure for mcrypt source files. I was using this guide: http://atlantatechpro.com/howtos/howtoslinux/howtosmhashmcrypt When I try to install (./configure) mcrypt, I get this checking for libmcrypt - version = 2.5.0... no Could not run libmcrypt test program, checking why... The test program compiled, but did not run. This usually means that the run-time linker is not finding LIBMCRYPT or finding the wrong version of LIBMCRYPT. If it is not finding LIBMCRYPT, you'll need to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, or edit /etc/ld.so.conf to point to the installed location Also, make sure you have run ldconfig if that is required on your system If you have an old version installed, it is best to remove it, although you may also be able to get things to work by modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH configure: error: * libmcrypt was not found I also made a file at /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libmcrypt.conf with /usr/local/libmcrypt in it and ran /sbin/ldconfig I might have screwed things up by trying to reinstall libmcrypt without the configure arguments. Any suggestions on what to do now?

  • Time machine disk icon on boot disk

    The icon for Macintosh HD (my boot disk) shows as a Time Machine disk. There is a file .com.apple.timemachine.supported in the root of the disk. If I delete the file and restart the computer, the icon goes back to a normal HD icon. However, the .com.apple.timemachine.supported file is recreated at some point on boot because when I log in again, the file has been recreated. If then reboot again, the icon goes back to being a Time Machine one. Any ideas about what is creating this file and why? More importantly - how can I get it to stop? It looks like something thinks the boot disk should be a Time Machine volume, but what? Console.app shows the following messages at approximately hourly intervals: 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Starting standard backup 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Cookie file is not readable or does not exist at path: /.<12 hex digits of MAC address for en0> 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Volume at path / does not appear to be the correct backup volume for this computer. I used to use the same disk for a SuperDuper clone as for Time Machine. These are the same same symptoms as this and this.

    I installed Nginx using homebrew and after completing the installation the following message was displayed: In the interest of allowing you to run `nginx` without `sudo`, the default port is set to localhost:8080. If you want to host pages on your local machine to the public, you should change that to localhost:80, and run `sudo nginx`. You'll need to turn off any other web servers running port 80, of course. You can start nginx automatically on login running as your user with: mkdir -p ~/Library/LaunchAgents cp #{prefix}/org.nginx.nginx.plist ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ launchctl load -w ~/Library/LaunchAgents/org.nginx.nginx.plist Though note that if running as your user, the launch agent will fail if you try to use a port below 1024 (such as http's default of 80.) But I want Nginx, on port 80, running at login and I don't want to have to open terminal and type in sudo nginx to do it. I want it to load from a plist file like Redis and PostgreSQL do. I moved the plist to /Library/LaunchAgents/ from the user folder equivalent and changed its ownership, also tried setting the user directive in the nginx.conf file and still the same error message in Console.app: nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:80 failed (13: Permission denied) (along with another message telling me that since nginx was being run without super-user privileges, the user directive was being ignored)

    I have installed the freenect library from openkinect.org. With that library there is a demo application which you can run from the terminal to test out the Kinect. However when I run this command I get the following output: richard@behemoth:~$ sudo freenect-glview Kinect camera test Number of devices found: 1 Could not claim interface on camera: -6 Could not open device This particular error is thrown by the library libusb by the function libusb_claim_interface and the error -6 corresponds to the LIBUSB_ERROR_BUSY. So my guess is that it has something to do with mounting the usb, rather than specifically the freenect library or the Kinect itself. So my question is how can I find out what resource is using this interface and how can I free it so that I can access it?     I have two projects that are a copy of each other on my Mac with MAMP. They both have SSL pages. However, whenever I hit the a secured SSL page of project 2, the base_url or host changes to project1 instead of remaining project2. I know this is an issue with the vhosts, because if I switch the order of the entries, the reverse happens.   • How can I set my bootloader to load my primary (C:) partition?

    I created 4 partitions and want to use them to have seperate Windows XP, Windows 7, (possibly) Windows Vista installations, and "WinDummy" (to test applications in Vista, XP or another OS). I used Norton Ghost to install an OS to the drive in about 3 minutes. My problem is that I installed the spare first on the 4th partition, then Windows 7 on the second. I tried to set the bootloader (with easybcd) to use the first partition - but it doesn't want to. Heres my debug screen on easybcd As you can see, the device is set to H and i cant figure out how to change it. I can make my bootloader use Windows 7 first, but I can't make it use my C: install of XP instead of my spare H:. How would I fix this?   • How can I access a webDAV folder as a UNC share?

    first of all I am just getting to know about webDAV and appreciate your patience. I have a virtual directory on IIS 6 (windows 2003) that is based on a network share on a file server different from web server. something like www.mysite.com/myreports where myreport is based on \myfileserver\reports. I have been asked by network folks to not use the UNC path like that for security reason and try to explore using webDAV. What I have been told is webDAV can give me a UNC path without requiring to open the ports required for a file server UNC path. Then I can use the new UNC path to map my virtual directory and my asp.net code will not require any change. Help: Being new to webDAV, I did some research over the web. I now can create a web folder in fileserver. I put IIS on file server as well. I can browse the content as http:://fileserver/mywebDAVreports which is based on reports folder. But I don't know how to get a UNC for this web folder to be able to map my virtual directory on web server. I appreciate any help on this. Regards, Amar

    I am setting up a flask application on and Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS EC2 instance and everything seemed to be working well (i.e. I could get to the webpage via the publicly available url) until I tried to import a module (e.g. numpy) and realised the apache python differs from the one I used to compile the mod_wsgi and also the one I am using I am running apache2.     Afternoon, Clients, 10 : All Apples running either Leopard or Snow Leopard Server : Snow Leopard server, (and I have a old Dell Poweredge 650 at home running Gentoo 2.6, if anybody as a Linux solution). The situation: I work in small design company with 8 people, at present we are looking to consolidate all our image files onto one location, at present we each use our preferred single user DAM solution, be it, Adobe Bridge, iPhoto/Aperture (some don't bother at all) The filetypes commonly used are .psd, .pdf, .eps, .tiff, .jpg and RAW image files. Ideally what is needed: Centralised on one server, but allows us to search via spotlight (not essential, but would be nice) Include searchable metadata information such as date, location, title Open-source or as low cost as possibly Allow simultaneous users to import files So far, I have looked at a few open source DAM, systems, such as Razuna, Gallery (not strictly DAM), ResourceSpace, Notre-DAM, while these are brilliant and open-source, they don't integrate as smoothly with the Desktop as iPhoto and aperture. For iPhoto and aperture, I have tried creating a Shared library on the server (a tad laggy), and also using a drive with no permissions, put a library and letting each client read from it, however if they want to put images onto the library only, it's only supports one user at a time writing to the library... Any ideas what could fulfill our needs? Or is it time to bite the bullet for FinalCut Server? Thanks in advance.

I begin the attach by attempting to browse to the folder which contains the db files as well as all of my active database files. I select "attach Database" and click the "Add" button to add a database to the list of databases to attach to. Verify that you have the necessary security privileges and that the path or file exists.   • need to stop mysql server on my mac os x

    I just installed xampp on my mac os x. When I tried start mysql it display a message that mysql is already running on this computer. In order to start mysql stop first mysql.
