• MPXJ - get ResourceAssignment baseline values

  I'm trying to display the Baseline Start, Finish, Cost, and Work values for a ResourceAssignment, but cannot seem to find any methods on the ResourceAssignment object that would provide this information. Anybody know if this is possible? I know the information is stored because I can see it in MS Project, and I can see it in the XML version of the project file. Just can't see in the API where to get access to it.

  Does anyone know of a good object-relational-mapping library for PHP? I know of PDO/ADO, but they seem to only provide abstraction of differences between database vendors not an actual mapping between the domain model and the relational model. I'm looking for a PHP library that functions similarly to the way Hibernate does for Java/.Net.

• Why is the volatile qualifier used through out std::atomic?

  From what I've read from Herb Sutter and others you would think that volatile and concurrent programming were completely orthogonal concepts, at least as far as C/C++ are concerned. However, in GCC c++0x extension all of std::atomic's member functions have the volatile qualifier. The same is true in Anthony Williams's implementation of std::atomic. So what's deal, do my atomic<> variables need be volatile or not?

  I have identified the query constructs my users normally use. would it make sense for me to create composite indexes to support those constructs and provide FIRST_ROWS capability? If I migrate from SE to IDS, I will loose the ability to write low-level functions with c-isam calls, but gain FIRST_ROWS along with other goodies like: SET-READS for index scans (onconfig USE_[KO]BATCHEDREAD), optimizer directives, parallel queries, etc?

  Hi, let's say that I have a table called Items (ID int, Done int, Total int) I can do it by two queries: int total = m.Items.Sum(p=>p.Total) int done = m.Items.Sum(p=>p.Done) But I'd like to do it in one query, something like this: var x = from p in m.Items select new { Sum(p.Total), Sum(p.Done)}; Surely there is a way to call aggregate functions from LINQ syntax...?

The task is to add a mapping of a property of entity's type, for example, stored in table B, which would reference table A, and specify a rule how entity should be fetch from table B based on identifier from table A. (For example, to fetch latest version of an entity). It it possible with NHibernate?

  Should libraries that the application relies on be stored in source control? One part of me says it should and another part say's no. It feels wrong to add a 20mb library that dwarfs the entire app just because you rely on a couple of functions from it (albeit rather heavily). Should you just store the jar/dll or maybe even the distributed zip/tar of the project? What do other people do?

  With the environment variable %allusersprofile% I can get the directory where common settings are stored. But most programs store their settings in the sub-folder "anwendungsdaten" (German, application data). Is there a way to get the direct path to this folder? When the information is stored in the Viewdata, I noticed that the viewdata is enumerated. How could I access the enumerated items and generate a table/list based on the viewdata?   I want my javascript object to be initialized just once, so each new browser window will not create new data items, new functions, etc... usually we initialize the code at the end of main javascript using load window.addEventListener("load", main.onLoad, false); so once the second browser window opened, the initialization code will start from scratch.
