• Good value for declaring "Position reached" in geo coords

  Hi Guys, I've written a kind of navigation system for pedestrians. The only thing is, that I need a criterion to finish the navigation. My values are gives as lat/long pairs. What would you assume would be a good value to say, both positions are equal/near enough to tell the user that he has reached the goal?   I'm building an e-commerce website in ASP.Net/C# and I'm having some difficulties with my shopping cart... I want my costumers to be able to say "I want X boxes, and each box carries Y items". Let's say, for instance, my website sells flowers. A client logs in and then chooses X bouquets and then for each bouquet he adds flowers from the catalog.   This will sound naive (but then I am a junior programmer), but if I write a web service say in Python (standard WSDL web service), I then need to host it so it is reachable from an end point. This will give a URI for the service and then from another language, say Java or VB.NET (any), I can add a web service (this one) and then call the web service's object model, correct? Thanks

  Hi, with browser language french i have a string which has date in the format v = 13/01/2010 10:54:00. when i say Date.parse(v) i get the result as Date.parse(v) 1293897240000 Number with browser language german i have a string which has date int he format v = 13.01.2010 10:54:00 when i say Date.parse(v) i get the result as Date.parse(v) NaN Number can you please tell me how to parse date when it is in german language.   I am looking for the reason Why Fragmentation is Done at IP level but why not for TCP/UDP. Suppose say my frame looks like this |MAC|IP|TCP|Payload|FCS. the whole size if say for eg: 1600.   say i have a directory with hi.txt and blah.txt and i execute the following command on a linux-ish command line ls *.* | xargs -t -i{} echo {} the output you will see is echo blah.txt blah.txt echo hi.txt hi.txt i'd like to redirect the stderr output (say 'echo blah.txt' fails...), leaving only the output from the xargs -t command written to std out, but it looks as if it's stderr as well. ls *.* | xargs -t -i{} echo {} 2> /dev/null Is there a way to control it, to make it output to stdout?

  I used MPI_Comm_split to split the default MPI communicator.If initially there were 10 processes in default communicator ,MPI_COMM_WORLD and ,say, their ranks were identified by id_original. The new communicator consisted of 4 processes with id_original 6,7,8,9.These processes will have ranks defined by , say , id_new in the new communicator. What will be the relation between ranks of processes in these two communicators. Will the processes with id_original 6,7,8,9 will have new ranks 0,1,2,3 respectively in the new communicator or the ordering might be different?

  I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?
