  • How to create a .MAP file from a .PDB file

    I would like to create a simple .MAP file listing addresses and symbol names from a PDB file. My natural inclination was to look for a tool named "pdb2map", but most of the results I get for that appear to refer to a sample program from the CD included with Debugging Applications for Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Windows, which unfortunately is not also posted on the 'net. Anyone know a good tool for this? Thanks.

  • Excel VBA combox box disable

    Hi all, I am trying to enable/disable a combobox based on the value or state of a second combobox in Excel 2007. I think my code should look something like this: Sub DropDown266_Change() If DropDown266.Index = 2 Then DropDown267.Enabled = False End If End Sub However, I am getting a run time error '424' saying an object is required.     Just curious, did I overlook somewhere in the API to display a chat bubble type image as found in the iPhone's SMS application? There's a few applications out there that use bubbles that look verbatim to the iPhone's and I'm wondering if they're using a native widget or their own image. This is also seen in the Tweetie application where the content of the tweets are.

I've been told to look at OpenGL ES, but even searching for an example of Perlin noise or a lava/plasma effect doesn't result in anything. I'd really appreciate some help on this one.     I have written an O/R database wrapper that generates some wrapper methods for stored procs it reads from the database. Now I need to produce some custom wrapper code if an input parameter of a stored proc is defaulted to NULL. The problem is - I get stored proc parameters using: SqlCommandBuilder.DeriveParameters(command) and it doesn't bring parameter defaults. Is there any way to look up those defaults? Are they stored anywhere in the database? BTW, I'm using SQL Server 2008

    Hi all, Trying to compile a iPhone/iPad application with SDK3.2 and am getting this error: Undefined symbols: "_main", referenced from: Start in crt1.10.5.o Symbol(s) not found Collect2: Id returned 1 exit status I think it's telling me that it's somehow trying to work with code from another SDK but searching the web has not provided any clear answers. Anyone able to guide me on this and what to look for?

At first I took a look at Gallery, but it's marked as deprecated. http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/Gallery.html We're told to try ViewPager instead. But the PagerAdapter class doesn't handle recycling of views for us (like a standard ListView), does it? http://developer.android.com/reference/android/support/v4/view/PagerAdapter.html Is it up to us to build the recycling mechanism? Node.js is supposed to be a good candidate for this type of application.     In C# / .NET 2.0, when I serialize an object using XmlSerializer, what's the easiest way to validate the output against an XML schema? The problem is that it is all too easy to write invalid XML with the XmlSerializer, and I can't find a way to validate the XML that does not look cumbersome. Ideally I would expect to set the schema in the XmlSerializer or to have a XmlWriter that validates.

  • ASP.NET Charting Control Transparency

    I'm working with the ASP.NET Charting Library and I've got it generating a pie chart but I'm having a problem configuring it to generate the pie chart with semi-transparent slices. If you look at the image here you'll see what I'm talking about. Of the 4 pie charts the top 2 and the bottom left chart have the pie slice transparency I'm talking about. What settings of the chart do I tweak to render the slices with a certain % of transparency? Thanks!

When i look into my cursor in the onStart() method i find a number of records but when i try to use them in my trigger() method it has zero records. the field private Cursor c; in onStart() c = dbHelper.fetchAllRecords(); in trigger() c.getCount() returns null I didn't close the cursor earlier than in my onDestroy() method

  • How to build OpenSSL in release mode with symbols?

    I generally build my openssl libs by doing this: perl Configure VC-WIN32 ms\do_masm nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak test For debugging minidumps, I'd like to get a pdb file for the 2 dlls (while still building them in "release" mode). I've added /Zi to the CFLAGS part of ms\ntdll.mak, but I still get "Binary was not built with debug information" when I look at the in-memory modules in the visual studio debugger. Am I missing a step? Thanks
