• 10" display CULV ultraportable?

  Are there any ~10" Intel CULV-based ultraportable notebooks/netbooks? Seems like at 10" the only option is the Atom-based netbooks, I would like something this small but I am willing to pay a bit more for the faster CULV Intel processors. Does anything like this exist?

• Send files to Automator in Snow Leopard

  Hi there I remember in Tiger, you could always select a bunch of files in Finder and right click them, there was an option to open the selection in Automator. However, it seems that option has been lost somewhere between the Leopard and Snow Leopard upgrade. Or am I a bit blind? Can someone please point me in the right direction?

  Back in the day, floppy disks were a: and if you were lucky b:, then when permanent storage came along c: was the default for hard disks (as I remember it) Now that many computers no longer have floppy disks is it possible to have your primary hard disk as A: is the convention out dated? Removable drives (like DVDs and flash readers) now seem to take lower precedence than permanent storage so it is a bit of an oddity that floppy disks should have higher letters.

  I have a Dell R710 running Win2008 R2 + Hyper-V with dual SAS 5/E HBA's. I'm building a Linux VM to install Bacula on and I need to connect it to my Dell PowerVault 124T via the SAS HBA. I've been doing some looking online and I have yet to find a straightforward answer on how to connect a SAS HBA to a VM, let alone a Linux VM. The flavor is Ubuntu 32-bit.

• How to compile PHP / PECL APD for MAMP / Snow Leopard?

  When I'm trying to use pecl to install apd it compiles the extension for a 64 bit system. Since MAMP needs extensions in i386 mode, apache won't load this apd.so file. So how can I force pecl to compile the extension in i386 mode? Thanks for any help!

• Linux Mplayer Instead of flash any distro/browser

  The thing is that flash sucks for linux on 64-bit, performance vice. Due to this I actually download every clip to a temp folder and play the file while it's being downloaded with mplayer. This works really nice. Flash is not to play a video. Does there exist a plugin for this for any browser? I tried google, but I can't find the right words to search for.

Windows 7, 64 bit Two monitors, side by side Sometimes when I have a fullsreen application running on my main monitor and I am moving the mouse curser between the two monitors the curser gets corrupted. You cannot see that it is a curser anymore. To fix it I have to restart the computer. Anyone that has heard about this problem before? /Markus

I've done a bit of googleing but I didn't find anything about how should I handle this type of file. It's worth mentioning that the server was running Plesk and the database wasn't using InnoDB. • Is there a way to display multiple power point documents in separate power point windows?

  In Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, when opening multiple .pptx/.ppt documents simultaneously, the documents are opened in the same physical PowerPoint window. I was wondering if anyone was aware of a way to separate these documents into separate physical windows. I am aware that you can arrange and cascade separate documents within the same PowerPoint window, but I find that method a bit awkward and frustrating (especially when juggling more than two documents simultaneously).

• How to find out if my IIS is x64 or x86?

  As the title reads, I'm about to download and install URL Rewrite Go Live extension on my Windows Server 2008 R2 dedicated server, and I need to find out which version of URL Rewrite I should be downloading, x64 or x86. The information that came with the server when I started to rent it said it was 64-bit but when I look at my C: directory I have two Program Files directories, one titled "Program Files" and the other "Program Files (86)" - so this has confused me somewhat. Can anybody suggest how to find this out?

• 6TO4 Windows 2003 DNS

  This is puzzling me a bit. We are running server 2003 DNS/DHCP and normally we disable IPV6 on the client end. But I have just noticed with windows 7 and server 2008 R2 if I disable IPv6 then it registers an 6TO4 address in DNS not its Standard IP address. If I enable IPv6 it registers its ip.   My host is running Win 7 ultimate 64bit, ESET NOD32 AV 4.0 (64 bit). My guest OS is Windows XP Professional (Sp3) Using bridge mode, I can ping gateway just fine, even ping public dns server (8.8.8.8 or 208.67.222.222). But cannot resolve any dns request. I tried using nslookup with public dns, my gateway but no good. I can access my host share file normally thou. Any suggestions?

• Fan Error on Lenovo R61

  Problem Since the last two days, my Lenovo R61 is giving me a "Fan Error" message during boot, after showing which, it powers down. It does so for 3-4 boot attempts, and after a bit of tapping and such human treatment, in the 6th or so attempt, it luckily starts. Question Why is this happening ? How do I fix it ?   I like the looks of Belle Nuit Subtitler, even though the price is a bit high. Does anyone know any other program like it that can add subtitles to a video stream while watching the stream itself?
