    Im pretty new to sharepoint and what i would like to do is create a huge master list of all our employees and then make diffrent "views" on that person depending on the persons group for example a new employe might have sallery info security info personel info contract info i would like to have all that in on row (per employee) but then when someone from the hr group logs in they can only see personel and salery or something like that If that is not an option is there a way to link tables across different lists?

    I have recently installed windows 8 however i have found that when i try to look through the languages i cannot find the english version so i am now stuck trying to read french until i find out how to do it.     We have 3x ESX hosts and 2x SANS that we wish to move to a redundant 10G networking infrastructure. We have 4x Dell PowerConnect 8024F's to provide our backbone and are configured as so (only core switches relevant to this question): So the questions are: 1) Do the interconnects between the 4x 8024F's need to be LAG'd or just STP'd 2) As the NICs on the servers are split across 2 switches, does any special configuration need to be done here or on the switches? 3) If a link or switch fails will the switches automatically find a new path to the Server/SAN?

  • port is not open in torrent client even though it was forwarded

    I have a problem with port forwarding with my torrent, port check tool says that it open, the firewall exception as well. But with the test by the client not say so. I don't know why.   • Need to install libstdc++-5 on ubuntu 9.10

    Hi, I'm running ubuntu 9.10 which has gcc4 (libstdc++6) installed, and I need to install a program that requires libstdc++5 that comes with gcc3. I don't see gcc-3 listed when I run "apt-cache search" so: Is it necessary to install gcc-3 to achieve libstdc++5 ? If so where can I get it ? Is there a way to install just libstdc++5 Would a soft link to libstdc++6 do or is it not recommended ? Thanks

    We have two scanners in our branch office which upload images to the head office via FTP. In the last week, both scanners have started delivering a lot of corrupted images. I suspect that the problem may be with the WAN link, and that TCP might not be detecting/correcting all errors. Is there any software for Windows that allows me to test the integrity of the connection by sending packets with an embedded CRC?

  • Detect fails in setup script

    I wrote a setup script to install my prefered programs and settings after I got a new server. apt-get install git git clone http://[email protected] .vim ln -s .vimrc .vim/vimrc ... But if something wrong happens during setup, how can I interrupt the setup script, and log the error(s)? For example, if github server is down, it's obviously useless to create a symbolic link to non-existed vimrc. (or you have a better approach to initialize a server?)

    At the moment, I am using Apache web server to redirect all HTTP request to port 8080 to be served by GlassFish app server. Just like Apache, GlassFish has a docroot folder to store static pages.   • How do I configure dual WAN links for failover on a Cisco 891?

    I have a Cisco 891 that is going to be connected to 2 WAN links, a DSL connection and a cable connection. I'm not so concerned with load balancing between them because the DSL connection speed is a drop in the bucket when compared to the cable speed though it would be nice if it worked that way. I mainly just want to force all traffic through the cable WAN link unless it goes down. I'm not really sure what feature set I should be researching.

  • No video output and no status light on HP Proliant Microserver

    I have an issue with a "N40L" HP Proliant Microserver. When the server is powered on the power light turns green but the machine's status light (the HP logo on the front) stays off and there is no video output through th onboard VGA. The system fan kicks in and if connected to a network the link light shows activity. I have no extra boards (iLO card, graphics card) only 4GB PNY non-standard stick of RAM.
