    I love running as a standard user for its security pluses, my admin account is password protected. The problem appears when I need to run a program that requires admin rights, is there a way to include the password somehow so I won't have to type it every time ? Without changing my current setup: admin password protected account and I log on to a limited standard user account. I'm thinking of script or something like that ?

    I have a file in a folder like this: installer-x86_64-XXX.XX-diagnostic.run The XXX.XX is a version number and I need the version number only. How to do it in linux? I have this code: #!/bin/bash current_ver=$(find /mnt/builds/current -name '*.run'|awk -F/ '{print $NF}') So this gives me just the name of the file correctly (minus the location, which I dont want). But how do I only get the XXX.XX version number into a variable such as $version

    I've want to match any occurrence of a search term (or list of search terms) within the tags of a document. My current solution uses preg (within a Joomla plugin) $pattern = '/matchthisterm/i'; $article->text = preg_replace($pattern,"<span class=\"highlight\">\\0</span>",$article->text); But this replaces everything within the HTML of the document so I need to match the tags first. Is this even the best way to achieve this?

  • how to get powershell to look for files in other folders when moving items?

    I have written this script to move files to the destination folder. Looks like I am missing something here because when I run the script, it is only looking for .zqx files in current directory and not all the drives. Please note that the ( dir $paths..) part is returning the list of .zqx files promptly.     I am using a namespace called ComShorCaliburnWPF.ViewModules.Views.ShortMenuWindows.GWDSCT on my View.xaml and View.cs, for my ViewModel.cs and my IoC container I am using ComShorCaliburnWPF.ViewModules.Views.ShortMenuWindows.GWDSCT. When I remove the GWDSCT at the end it works fine, but in its current state it does not. I would like it to work how it is now because it accurately reflects where the files are located. Any suggestions?

My current workaround is to do this for all the existing error messages.: if (((Range)sheet.Cells[1, 1]).Text == "#N/A" || ...) Is there a better way to do this. I mean built in the API?
