Pulling out two separate words from a string using reg expressions?

I need to improve on a regular expression I'm using. Currently, here it is: ^[a-zA-Z\s/-]+ I'm using it to pull out medication names from a variety of formulation strings, for example: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM 200-40 MG/5ML PO SUSP AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE 125 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE Amoxicillin 1000 MG / Clavulanate 62.5 MG Extended Release Tablet The resulting matches on these examples are: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE Amoxicillin The first four are what I want, but on the fifth, I really need "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate". How would I pull out patterns like "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate" (in fifth row) while missing patterns like "MG/5 ML" (in the first row)?

How come jQuery can't remove this element?

I have a table like this: <table id='inventory_table'> <tr id='no_items_avail'> <td> There are no items in the database. </td> </tr> </table> And I want to get rid of it with jQuery like this: $('#inventory_table tbody tr#no_items_avail').remove(); However it doesn't seem to be working at all. What am I doing wrong? Edit: Also, the row above was originally inserted into the DOM with another jQuery call: $('#inventory_table tbody').append("<tr id='no_items_avail'....... If that helps. And, running: alert($('#no_items_avail').text()); yields "There are no items in the database." as expected.

Grouping timestamps by interval between timestamps, then calculating from group MySQL

To put this question into context, I'm trying to calculate "time in app" based on an event log. Assume the following table: user_id event_time 2 2012-05-09 07:03:38 3 2012-05-09 07:03:42 4 2012-05-09 07:03:43 2 2012-05-09 07:03:44 2 2012-05-09 07:03:45 4 2012-05-09 07:03:52 2 2012-05-09 07:06:30 I'd like to get the difference between the highest and lowest event_time from a set of timestamps that are within 2 minutes of eachother (and grouped by user). If a timestamp is outside of a 2 minute interval from the set, it should be considered a part of another set. Can't print elements in a DIV tag

I am using a Drag-able and re-sizeable DIV's in this HTML file. Where the user will place the DIV tag to his desired place in a main parent DIV tag. Now I want to print this main DIV tag, but the problem is that the code which I'm using to PRINT this main DIV is printing in a sequence, like not the way user has arranged the DIV's. Also it doesn't take up the main DIV background IMAGE. here is the code. Join Query Not Working

Hello, I am using three MySQl tables: comment commentid loginid submissionid comment datecommented login loginid username password email actcode disabled activated created points submission submissionid loginid title url displayurl datesubmitted In these three tables, the "loginid" correspond. I would like to pull the top 10 loginids based on the number of "submissionid"s. I would like to display them in a 3-column HTML table that shows the "username" in the first column, the number of "submissionid"s in the second column, and the number of "commentid"s in the third column. I tried using the query below but it did not work. Any idea why not? This would repeat for each person in IEnumerable<Person>. Are there any grids or components that generate a table like this? I found MvcContrib's grid component, but it doesn't appear to be able to generate these child rows. Is there a way to extend MvcContrib's grid to do this?

CSS Layout-- Make table cell contents appear in row below and set height of parent row/cell

I am modifying a skin for the CKEdit component so that the toolbar is hidden unless clicked. To do so, I moved the toolbar collapser to the row below it using position: relative and top:18px. My goal is to have the parent tr of the anchor element a height of 2px, but keep the anchor at 11px. Is this possible? I cannot alter the DOM, just the styles. jqplot format tooltip values

I want to have a tooltip hover highlight thingy in jqplot. The problem is that I want it to give more detail then on the axes. So the formatter should be different. I can't get it to display the seconds to: There's a JS fidle here! I want the timestamp to display as hours:minutes:seconds, which would be format string '%H:%M:%S' or '%T' or '%X'. Any way to turn off quips in OOWeb?

Table not Echoing out if another Table has a Zero value

Hello, The table below with mysql_query($sqlStr3) (the one with the word "Joined" in its row) does not echo if the result associated with mysql_query($sqlStr1) has a value of zero. This happens even if mysql_query($sqlStr3) returns a result. In other words, if a given loginid has an entry in the table "login", but not one in the table "submission", then the table associated with mysql_query($sqlStr3) does not echo. I don't understand why the "submission" table would have any effect on mysql_query($sqlStr3), since the $sqlStr3 only deals with another table, called "login", as seen below. Any ideas why this is happening?
