  • where is trac.ini ?

    I have setup trac with dreamhost one-click install, I read doc it says config is in trac.ini but can't see any under trac dir so where is it ? I have no conf dir ONLY admin, db, htdocs, prefs, etc... Is this the right forum or should I ask on server maybe ?

  • How to force iscsi initiator to login only once

    Trying to setup a few CentOS nodes to connect to a Dell MD3600i array, i'm running into the issue that the MD3600i shows 4 different portals (with different IP addresses) and when i launch the initiator on host side well, it connects to every IP address it has seen during the discovery phase; resulting in duplicates. How can I 'force' the initiator to discard every other IP and let me choose only one IP portal to connect to ? Must be damn stupid but I can't figure out how. Thx

    I came across this post today, arguably debatable/wrong somewhat, but worth a shot looking over: http://andyharglesiscodebase.wordpress.com/2013/11/01/why-programmers-shouldnt-worry-about-memory-leaks/ The poster claims that modern OSes automatically have garbage collection implemented in the kernel memory, and that any unfreed user heap memory is managed during "post partum cleanup". It seems like rubbish, but I can't be 100% sure since I am not that knowledgeable on the kernel's memory management setup, etc.

    Can someone explain to me in plain English what SIP trunking is, please? I've read about it on Google, but I don't really grasp it yet. Does it allow a VoIP call to be placed outside of the LAN? So if you had Asterisk setup as the PBX, then IP calls could be made outside of the network? Am I close or am I just saying stupid words?

    Monodevelop from git in KDE 4.10.2 does not render text in code edit tabs I tried with xfce and text is rendered ok there. I tried disabling composition with alt shift f12 and restarting x server but it was no better. I also tried disabling font softening in monodevelop options and disabling plugins. I also tried temporarily deleting my KDE profile. This is dual screen setup on Nvidia with nouveau. OS is slackware64-current.

  • A compression program that handles files with unusual extensions

    WAR files are simply ZIP files with a renamed extension. I'd like to configure a compression program to handle these (on double-clicking the file), but jZip doesn't recognize them unless I rename them to .ZIP. I have setup Windows file associations, but jZip just wants to 'add them to archive' instead of opening them. Which compression program would you recommend?

    Hi, We are moving away from our Exchange environment on a hosted server to one managed in-house, and I was wondering how to have the hosted Exchange forward all email received to the new server - the servers are not on the same network, and both have the same users setup. Basically, I just need the hosted Exchange to act as a dumb relay - accept the mail, send it straight on to our new server without trying to deliver locally. Is this possible? Regards Moo

    I am looking to create a custom boot DVD to run my unattended installs of windows 2008. I would like to have a menu system that lets the tech select what version of the OS they would like to install and version (x86/x64). I know you can run the windows 2008 setup, and exit to command prompt, but I would like there to just be a menu that will kick off whichever script needed. What would be the best way to do this?     I have setup MailEnable Standard on my server and have created the PostOffice (domain/mailbox) for the domain which I intend to be using. I have the DNS settings in GoDaddy like this: A (Host) Host: '@' Points To: IP MX Record Priority: 0 Host: 'mx' Points To: @ Is there anything in IIS that needs to be done to make mx.domain.com work as a mail server that can be used in other domain names? Additionally, On the firewall, I have the Outbound port 25 open, not sure, should I be opening port 25 on Inbound as well?

    I have 11 email accounts (work etc). When I'm creating a new message, the "from:" field is a dropdown list of my email accounts I wish to send the email from. They are in the order of how I setup my accounts initially, frustrating in hindsight, having not known how I create my accounts (what order) would be a convenience issue down the road. So, does anyone know how to modify the sort order of mail accounts?

    Hi, I have a safe office 500 box at my edge. (checkpoint's hardware firewall) I'm trying to connect to another office VPN using windows 7 pptp connection. It fails (saying something about enabling GRE). (after authenticating, hangs for a while, than give the error message.) Using the same computer with direct internet access (not behind the firewalls) works fine and I get connected. how do I setup the safe office to enable me to use vpn (pptp) out connections.

    In order to install gentoo, I need to connect to a university wireless internet network. It requires a username and password login/authentication. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice in terms of how to configure the internet connection. The Gentoo installation documentation recommends the use of net-setup, pppoe, pptp, dhcp and iwconfig. I can't figure out how to configure this connection, as the only way I understand is to select the network from a list and enter in authentication data from within a browser.

    Here's the setup: We have a domain, mydomain.com. Everything is on our own server, except general email accounts which are through gmail. Currently gmail is set as the MX record. The server also has various email aliases it needs to support for bug trackers and such. e.g. [email protected] |/path/to/issuetracker.script I'm struggling with a setup that allows the following, both locally and from user's email clients. guser1 - has a gmail account and a local account guser2 - only has a gmail account bugs - has a pipe alias in /etc/aliases for issue tracker Scenarios mail to [email protected] from local host (crons and such) needs to go to gmail account mail to [email protected] from local host mail to [email protected] needs to be piped to the local issue tracker script So, the first stab was creating a transport map. In this scenario, the our server would be set as teh MX and guser* destined emails are sent to gmail. Put the gmail users in a map like so: [email protected] smtp:gmailsmtp:25 [email protected] smtp:gmailsmtp:25 Problems: Ignores extensions such as [email protected] Only works if append_at_myorigin = no (if set to yes, gmail refuses to connect with: E4C7E3E09BA3: to=, relay=none, delay=0.05, delays=0.02/0.01/0.02/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[209.85.222.57]:25: Connection refused)) since append_at_myorigin is set to no, all received emails have (unknown sender) The second stab was to set explicit localhost aliases in /etc/aliases and do a domain wide forward on mydomain. This too requires setting the local server as the MX: root: root@localhost # transport mydomain.com smtp:gmailsmtp:25 Problems: * If I create a transport map for a domain that matches "$myhostname", the aliases file is never parsed. So when a local user (or daemon) sends an email like: mail -s "testing" root < text.txt Postfix ignores the /etc/alias entry and maps to [email protected] and attempts to send it to the gmail transport mapping. Third stab: Create a subdomain for the bugs, something like bugs.mydomain.com. Set the MX for this domain to local server and leave the MX for mydomain.com to the Gmail server. Problems: * Does not solve the issue with local accounts. What am I missing?
