• Access to Wordpress page through email link

  I have a Wordpress site and what I would like to do is for users to send their email address through a form and then my email client would send automatically message them with a link to a certain page. That page should not be accessable without that link. Is that possible to do and are there any ready plugins for this? I use a members plugin, but I want users only to give their email and not to fill out a whole form. Hope you understand. Thanks. w

• How to get the Primary/Secondary color in jQuery UI Theme

  Is there a way to reference the colours used in the jQuery themes without creating a simple style for each theme that I may choose to use? Example: I have some text as follows <div>Hello</div> which I'd like to be change colour in line with my theme of the day. I wish to use the primary colour from a theme (say ui-lightness) which is "#1c94c4" as defined in several of the styles such as ui-state-default in ui-lightness.css The problem is that if I do the following <div class='ui-state-default'>Hello</div> I get all the other style effects, like borders and background colour, which are not right for my application What I'd like to do is something like <div class='ui-primary-color'>Hello</div> which would automatically change only the colour dependent on the theme. PS. Doing a pre-build pre-processing step to parse the themes and generate a customised css style would be my least favourable option here!

• Location-aware applications on WP7.5

  I would like to create a location-aware application on WP7.5 Is it possible to automatically get a trigger on location change without our application running on background? For example: I would like to know if a user has moved in a new location. If the user has moved I would like to trigger a specific event from my application. My only concern is that if I do that from my application I will consume a significant amount of battery. Is it a specific WP7 service which can inform my application that the user has changed his location and trigger an event from my application? If it is possible can you please point me an example?

• Activate first workbook after closing second one?

  Open workbook A. Code in A opens workbook B. B is now the active WB. Code in B ends with ThisWorkBook.Close B closes, so A appears. Problem is, I can't get ANY Activate events in WB A to fire automatically after WB B closes. But if I close WB B manually, using mouse to 'x' out the WB, or via the menus, then WB A triggers Activate events. Somehow using VBA to close WB B prevents WB A Activate events from triggering. Same results in Excel 97 and 2003 Am I missing something, or is there a workaround?? Thanks! John

• HTML5 drag upload in new window

  I have setup an HTML5 drag and drop upload into my site. The problem that I have is when a user is uploading a large file, they must wait for the upload to finish before navigating and using the rest of the site. So, what I'd like to do is allow the user to drag files to the main site and then have it automatically open a new window and start the upload there so they can still use the rest of the site while the upload is happening. Anyone have and advice on how to accomplish this or if it can even be done?

• Visual Studio scratch disk behavior

  I don't know if this feature exists, but I'd like a way to control Visual Studio 2010's scratch disk behavior (other than completely turning off intellisense). Right now it creates a massive .sdf file in the project folder (50MB+), and then it goes and creates an IPCH folder with 60MB+ of precompiled headers. All that's well and good while VS is running, but after it exits, I really would like the disk back. Is there a way to configure vs 2010 to Use the same location (%AppData%\VSScratch) for scratch disk files (so its easier to blow it away?) Automatically delete .sdf /ipch on exit? I know they don't delete them because its faster to startup.. but if you delete them yourself, startup time isn't that much increased..

• Hibernate won't autogenerate sequence table

  I'm trying to use a sequence table to generate keys for my entities. I notice that if I just use the @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE) with no explicit generator, Hibernate will automatically create the hibernate_sequences table in my DB if it doesn't exist. This is great. However, I wanted to make some changes to the sequence table, so I created a @TableGenerator like the following: @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE, generator="vdat_seq") @TableGenerator(name="vdat_seq", table="VDAT_SEQ", pkColumnName="seq_name", valueColumnName="seq_next_val", allocationSize=1) This works fine if I manually create the VDAT_SEQ table in my schema; Hibernate won't auto-create it anymore. This causes an issue in my unit tests, since I'd rather not have to manually create a table and maintain it on our testing DB. Is there a configuration variable or some other way to get Hibernate to generate the sequence table?

• Hide 'Would you like to remember password' iFrame

  Basically I have a website called http://yellow-taxis.uk/ which features an online booking system that is placed on the web site within an iFrame. On the online booking, it automatically logs the user in as a 'Guest' for credit card payments. When the site loads it comes up with a window asking the viewer if they 'would like to remember the password'. I was wondering if there was anyway possible to not display this window as it would be a much simpler option than changing a lot of the code within the online booking. Just to add, the iFrame is hosted on the same server as the web site (not sure if this makes a difference) Any help would be much appreciated.

  I need an easy way to show different document-types (.doc, .xls, .jpg...) in webpages. Ideally a user prints or saves that document and that document is automatically converted to Adobe-Flash. I know there are existing solutions to this. However, I would like to implement them in my own application, written in C#. Can anyone point me in a direction how to write a "Printer" in C#, where printable documents can be printed to, and that outputs a SWF-File? Thanks, Reinhard

• django - where to clean extra whitespace from form field inputs?

  I've just discovered that Django doesn't automatically strip out extra whitespace from form field inputs, and I think I understand the rationale ('frameworks shouldn't be altering user input'). I think I know how to remove the excess whitespace using python's re: #data = re.sub('\A\s+|\s+\Z', '', data) data = data.strip() data = re.sub('\s+', ' ', data) The question is where should I do this? Presumably this should happen in one of the form's clean stages, but which one? Ideally, I would like to clean all my fields of extra whitespace. If it should be done in the clean_field() method, that would mean I would have to have a lot of clean_field() methods that basically do the same thing, which seems like a lot of repetition. If not the form's cleaning stages, then perhaps in the model that the form is based on? Thanks for your help! W.

  Does anyone know of any good libraries or scripts out there which will allow me to point to any mySQL table and automatically get a list of all the INSERT statements for the data in the table? DdlUtils allows me to create an XML file from a database model but I would like to have it in INSERT statements format and preferably the ability to choose a couple of tables instead of dumping the entire database.   Ok, to begin with, this is my code: HyperSprite::HyperSprite() { _view = 0; } void HyperSprite::publish(QGraphicsView* view) { _view = view; } void HyperSprite::getKFrame() { if(_view != 0) { qDebug()<<(void*)_view; } } Now, if I call HyperSprite::getKFrame() from within main(), I get the output: 0xbf8ffb84 I have a TCP server, which requires this QGraphicsView* variable. So whenever a new connection is made, HyperSprite::getKFrame() is called. However, whenever I make a connection to my server, this is the output: 0x1e425ff I honestly don't understand this. Shouldn't the value of a member remain same throughout? Why is the pointer value changing? As is obvious, whenever I try to use the _view pointer to access any of its members, a Segmentation Fault occurs. I tried using QSharedPointer, but it also results in the same problem. The data of the QSharedPointer automatically changes. Why is this happening?

I was thinking this was a perfect case for a computed column, but not sure how to go about it. Or is this more of a function/trigger? Its possible, I certainly barely know what I'm doing. The idea is that I dont want to have to do two more server calls and concatenate these values client side.

  I have a device that continuously collects data and stores it on a local database. I would like to also replicate that data to a second computer over the network every 10 seconds to ensure data reliability. Should I use transaction replication to achieve this? What if the network connection is temporarily unavailable, will the replication service automatically transmit all the backlogged data once the connection is restored? Can the computer that collects the data be SQL Server Compact or does it have to be at least Workgroup edition to be a Publisher. The second PC will run SQL Server Express and would be a subscriber. What I'd like to do is create a function that automatically encloses all email addresses and all URLs within a string in HREF tags so that the HTML email reads properly in all email clients.   In my global.asax file for my ASP.net project, I am checking for certain conditions. When those conditions are met, I want to automatically execute javascript code when the page runs. • Using PHP to grab the absolute URL of the script?

  Basically, I want my script to output its absolute URL, but I don't want to statically program it into the script. For example, if my current URL is http://example.com/script.php I want to be able to store it as a variable, or echo it. i.e. $url = http://example.com/script.php; But if I move the script to a different server/domain, I want it to automatically adjust to that, i.e. $url = http://example2.com/newscript.php; But I have no idea how to go about doing this. Any ideas?

  I want to create a Google Closure Compiler plugin for eclipse. I already have a popup menu entry to compile a Javascript file to its minified version. But it would be more than helpful if every time you save a *.js that minified version would be generated automatically. I read/heard about natures and builders, extension points and IResourceChangeListener. But I did not manage to figure out what I should use and especially how to get it to work. Is there a working example of a plugin that does "the same kind of thing" so I can work from that or a tutorial to write such?   Hi all, I am currently developing an application for android. I'm not sure if this is possible but here it goes. When the user clicks and holds on a text box whether it is a website or a piece of software a menu is displayed which shows paste and input method. What I want to be able to do is add my own items to this menu and when the user clicks on my item it will load my app, they can select an item from a list view.   I'm new to parsing XML and am having an issue with entities. (Am doing this on Android, if it makes a difference). Is there a way to have it turn an entity into the character it represents? I have this in the child of an element: "isn&#39;t" (minus quotes). I would prefer it parse it and the end result be a single text node. However, right now this is turned in to TEXT, ENTITY, TEXT. Is there a way to automatically have it parse the entity into text, or a manual way to do it?
