• Is there any natural way to cite a newspaper article in BibTex/LaTeX?

  When I try to update a driver via the device manager, windows 7 tells me that windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date even though I know that mine is newer (due to the version number), and refuses to install it. Is there some way to override this behavior and force windows to install the newer driver?

  I have the following setup: Two servers with DRBD running dual primary with OCFS2 Heartbeat with two virtual ips, one for each server Round robin DNS to load balance NFS across the two vIPs Shutting down Server1 for a period of time, cause Server2 to take over the vIP for failover. However, when Server1 returns - it takes over the designated vIP as soon as heartbeat gets connection again - even though the DRBD is running sync (and thus not up to date) How can I configure heartbeat to perform failback as soon as Server1 again is in sync with Server2 ? (And not before)

How do I sign and encrypt messages, as well as check integrity of received messages (and decrypt them if needed) in pine/alpine? I've installed Windows 7 RTM (x64) I have this audio device: SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio I have tried using the windows 7 basic driver, and also the Vista 64-bit driver from Dell's website (details): Date: 10/29/2007 Version: 6.10.0.5511, A04 File Size: 7 MB With both drivers, I get normal stereo sound from the driver, but my 5.1 surround sound doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

• 401 - Unauthorized On Server 2008 R2 IIS 7.5

  I have a web application deployed to Server 2008 IIS 7.5 box. From remote it gives this error: 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. (remote = desktops on the same LAN) Have tried several remote clients using different browsers, all the same result. (IE, FF, and Chrome) Hitting the application from the desktop of the server itself works flawlessly. However I have not tried Firebug on the server desktop. I would assume it's still issuing a 401 status code yet returning the content anyway. See Update #2. The application is using Anonymous Authentication. The application is written in .NET 4.0 Asp.Net using the MVC framework. Static content works fine, example: http://server.com/content/image.jpg Sysinternals procmon returns these 2 results for each request: FAST IO DISALLOWED and PATH NOT FOUND. I have 2 other MVC apps running fine on the same server. I have checked the security on the folders and they all match. App runs fine on a Server 2008 IIS 7.0 box. Nothing shows up in the Event log on the server related to this. Pulling my hair out here, any troubleshooting tips? UPDATE #1: This just get's more WTF as I dig. If I click on the Application in IIS Manager - Error Pages - Edit Feature Settings select Detailed Errors, the app works remotely. Not leaving this on, so problem is not solved yet, its just more confusing. UPDATE #2: Using Firebug, I see that the Status is still 401 Unauthorized, but the Response is returning the application's correct HTML. • MySQL Master-Master replication generating thousands of log files

  Today, I checked the /var/lib/mysql/ directory of a server in a master-master replication setup and noticed there were about 3,600 slave-relay.00xxxx files in there (where "xxxx" is an incrementing integer). They appear to be binary log files and don't take up much space (only about 42K), but are they an indication that something is wrong? They range in date from August until today with about 25 per day. Thanks for any help.

  Hello The venerable EccoPro offered a great in-place outliner to organize tasks into sub-tasks, and add a Due Date to any item so that they would be also displayed in the Calendar (and in a Palm pilot if the used had one). It seems like Outlook only supports a single-level task list: Is there an add-on to Outlook to do this, or another application than Outlook provided it's also capable of syncing with a BlackBerry?   So I'm a dual-booter. I'm looking for an easy way to keep up-to-date symlinks in my Linux home folder pointing to every file and folder in the root of Windows personal directory. So, say I have foo.txt and bar.txt in C:\Windows\Documents and Settings\Nathaniel. I want symlinks of those files to automatically be made in /home/nathaniel/ (while I'm running Linux, of course).

• Ubuntu 10.04 not detecting multiple monitors

  I have 2 graphics cards, the output from the lspci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV770 [Radeon HD 4850] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV710 [Radeon HD 4350] I have one monitor connected to the 4850 and 2 connected to the 4350. However when I go into System Preferences Monitors the only monitor shown is the one connected to the 4850. Is there something I need to enable for it to be able to use the other card? How do I get this to work. Thanks.   I want to use the WMI command line tool (wmic) to get information about windows computers on the network and output it as valid xml. However, I can't seem to find the right way to do this as the outputted xml currently contains invalid tokens for which I think I should use the /TRANSLATE:basicxml switch. The command: wmic /NODE:"tech-demo" /IMPLEVEL:Impersonate /USER:MyUser /PASSWORD:MyPassword /PRIVILEGES:DISABLE /AUTHLEVEL:Pkt /AUTHORITY:"ntlmdomain:companydomain.local" PATH Win32_LogicalDisk GET * /FORMAT:rawxml This command runs but returns invalid xml tokens ('<' and '' I think? edit: it appears to fail parsing at ‹) When I add the translate switch I get the message: Can not use credentials for local connections a bit strange that it tries to query the local pc when I add the switch.. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Using mod_expires' ExpireDefault to override the already present Expires header does not work, the old header is left untouched. Is there another way to override the Expires header? Since the file doesn't exist on the hard drive anymore, i conclude that there is a proxy. The requests serviced from this proxy are not logged in the IIS logs. The requests for new files are logged, and from the client IP, not a proxy IP. The proxy is case sensitivie. This does not sound like something Microsoft, or IIS, would do: - a transparent proxy - case-sensitivie - unlogged - surviving restarts of IIS - surviving in a cache for hours i can't believe that our customer's IIS is doing these things. i'm assuming there is some other transparent proxy in front of IIS. Or, does IIS have a transparent, unlogged, case-sensitive, memory based, proxy, that caches content for at least 7 hours? (Come Monday morning, IIS is serving the correct file, unlogged).
