  Hi to all, I'm a new to mono enviroment and I have some question to ask... I'm trying to make a "browser" that display me a web page, well in windows NET is easy I can use Form.Window.WebBrowser. So I test with Moma this app, and it notice me that I can't use Form.Window.Webbroser " mac osx not compatible", Well I search around the web and I find this http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/14918.html but honestly I don't understand why I should use Gdk, and glade so I try to "add reference" to visual studio 2010 RC but I find Monodoc.GeckoHtmlRend then I find an other way using Mono.WebBrowser.dll but again Mono.WebBrowser Mono.WebBrowser.DOM Well my question are: where find documentation about one or other libs if I "add reference..." using menu of visual 2010 rc the dll linked is needed in release file or all library needed is included in release assembly?   I am trying to do a plot of a time series with DateListPlot. I want to feed it a time series I obtain from an SQL database. When I retrieve the time series the list is composed of SQLDateTime entries that DateListPlot doesn't understand. In[24]:= t=SQLExecute[conn, "select timestamp,value from timeseries order by timestamp asc"] Out[24]={{SQLDateTime[{2010,1,1}],12.3},{SQLDateTime[{2010,1,2}],12.51}} Doesn't work: In[25]:= DateListPlot[t] DateListPlot requires a Date tuple and doesn't understand SQLDateTime. What can I do?

  I'm planning to create a news item which uses xml as it's backend and the Display should be like: Date: 08/Mar/2010 ------------------------------ Title     | News ------------------------------ News 4 | Some news News 3 | Some news News 2 | Some news News 1 | Some news ------------------------------ Date: 07/Mar/2010 ------------------------------ Title     | News ------------------------------ News 5 | Some news News 4 | Some news News 3 | Some news News 2 | Some news News 1 | Some news Display should be sorted on Date (descending) Then news items should be sorted on time (descending) Today's news item should be on top, then titles should be sorted-decending (timewise), later will come previous day's news items. I'm not able to come up with the logic of xml which should be used in this case. moreover I'm not able to figure out how should I check "Today's date" in xml's "if" statement. Can I please get some code sample to understand this kinda logic???

  Hey guys, I need to create a custom menu item for Visual Studio 2010 Add-in in C#, but I have had no luck in coming with a solution anytime soon. I am aware that there was a similar post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2486818/visual-studio-add-in-adding-a-context-menu-item-to-solution-explorer But it did not help, as the blog follows the process through the integration package, and the video is done through VB. I had attempted to convert the VB syntax to the C# syntax, but about half way through the video, the Add-in methods has significantly changed from 2005 to 2010, as some of the methods have removed or changed. Is there any good tutorials on making a custom menu item on the Solution Explorer in the lastest Visual Studio in C#, and is there a good website that could be used as a reference for looking over the VS add-in API? I've used Microsoft's main website, however it is confusing and wordy, which is difficult to understand and find the methods, properties, or commands that I am looking for. • Best way to display a list of events by month

  I have a mySQL table of events and want to display them in a list using PHP. Pretty simple, except I only want to display the month name once, for example: May 2010 12th, 7 pm. Event 1 - event one description 15th, 5:30 pm. Event 2 - event two description June 2010 9th, 7 pm. Event 1 - event one description 11th, 5:30 pm. Event 2 - event two description I'm very new at SQL and PHP. I can think of one way to do it. It would involve selecting all records grouped by date, then looping through all records, comparing the month/year value each time and the first time the month/year doesn't match, print a new header row to my HTML table. I can't believe it's the best or most efficient way to go. Any ideas for a newbie? I'm sure my way would work, but it's inelegant at best, and processor-intensive at worst.

  I started with Turbo Pascal 3, went to TP5, Bought TP6 called Borland the next day and downgraded to TP5.5. Bought Delphi 3, and now have Delphi 5 Enterprise. I sort of lost interest in writing code about 4-5 years ago for two reasons; Spent all day writing ASP & SQL for someone else. PC Techniques magazine went away. I've got a few programs in the shareware market that are solid performers but are in need of serious updating. I love Delphi or did when it was Borland (before Borland bought DBase and all the other crap), I'd like to salvage as much of my D5E code as possible but I doubt I can. I plan on upgrading to Delphi 2010. My next software release needs to interact with a database. I'm very proficient with MS Sql and like to put all of the database code in stored procedures. I googled dbxmss.dll and dbxmss9.dll and found a very interesting thread on the Embarcadero forums. read thread here. After reading this thread and some careful thought I don't think I will be using Microsoft SQL Express. I can't rely on my customers having the right drivers installed. So, I'm back to looking for a different solution. If I'm selling a $40 product to the general masses I need to have a bulletproof solution that doesn't require my brand new customer to update their machine before my software will work.

  I need to remove hyphens from a string in a large number of access fields. What's the best way to go about doing this? Currently, the entries are follow this general format: 2010-54-1 2010-56-1 etc. I'm trying to run append queries off of this field, but I'm always getting validation errors causing the query to fail. I think the cause of this failure is the hypens in the entries, which is why I need to remove them. I've googled, and I see that there are a number of formatting guides using vbscript, but I'm not sure how I can integrate vb into Access. It's new to me :) Thanks in advance, Jacques

  Hello, I'm using the AtomFeedHelper and everything is working fine except for one feed where I need to link each entry to a URL which is not the default polymorphic_url for the record. Per the documentation I've specified an :url option for the entry. This correctly renders a <url> tag in the atom node but the <link rel="alternate" still points to the default polymorphic_url. Looking at the source and the documentation I don't understand why this is happening.   I'm using IIRF to redirect certain URLs to specific PDF files. For instance, for the URL /newsletter/2010/02 I'd like it to redirect to /pdf/newsletters/Feb2010.pdf. I'm not too hot at regular expressions, but I created the following rule: RedirectRule ^/newsletter/2010/01 /pdf/newsletters/Newsletter012010.pdf [I,R=301] and it does redirect, but the address bar doesn't change, and when trying to save the file it wants to save as 01 instead of Feb2010.pdf. I don't presume my users will be savvy enough to enter a PDF extension before saving, and they shouldn't have to. Is there anything I can do about this?

• Why can't I install MVC (1 or 2) with Visual Web Developer Express 2008 RC1?

  Hi all, I have installed VWD 2010 Express and love MVC2. I have an existing ASP.NET 3.5 website that I'd like to redevelop with ASP.NET MVC2 under VWD 2008 with the 3.5 framework (the host only supports .Net 3.5, and Express 2010 doesn't support targeting of .Net framework versions) I am however unable to install MVC2 with VWD 2008. The installer (for 2008 SP1) says it has installed, but the MVC project templates don't show up when I create a new project. I also had this problem originally with MVC1 which is why I gave up at some point and just created it as a normal ASP.NET website. I tried uninstalling and installing VWD 2008, and then installing MVC2, but this didn't solve the problem. Does anyone know why this problem occurs, or how to solve it? Or is there a way to add these templates and the tooling manually?

  I know there's a Rest API to check the Twitter rate limit. To summarize policy: 150 for an IP, and 150 per non-whitelisted account except for searches (which are IP only). However, my app is using Twython, authenticated, but the limit seems to decrease for both my accounts as I use it.
