The HTML-Source-Code looks the same but the SVG will not be showing. Instead it looks like this: A 100 B 50 C 10 D 22 E60 so really just a line of text Am I missing something?     I'm looking for a way to embed Flash into a XHTML Transitional page that does not rely on enabled JavaScript, which validates and that works across all major Browsers including IE6. So far I'm using this solution which seems to work just fine: http://latrine.dgx.cz/how-to-correctly-insert-a-flash-into-xhtml#toc-final-solution However, when this method is used in an RSS Feed it seems that Feedburner and Google Reader at least (maybe other feed readers, too) strip the whole object tags and only leave the alternative content. Any suggestions how to improve this?

  • Obtain user activity data in emails after I programmatically mail out emails

    If I were to build a newsletter emailing system, I will need to be able to generate reports on how many emails bounced, flagged as spam, unsubscribed, read vs. unread, click through rates etc.... So how do you keep track of user activity after the email has been sent? Am I right in assuming that you CAN NOT embed javascript code into emails to monitor user activity? How else do I gather data for my reports?

    I am using Apache to authenticate users for Django, but I would like to do so without the popup form that Apache uses in its basic configuration. How do I embed the login form within a page while still using Apache for authentication? That is, I'd like a page that says "Please login" and provides a form asking for username and password, and passes this information on to Apache for authentication. (I'd do this over an SSL connection, of course.)

    Often, but not always, the first few clicks on the "Allow" button on the Flash camera permissions dialog are ignored. This is very frustrating for users. And for me, when I'm testing code! I'm afraid I don't really know what else to say about the problem to give more insight. My hunch is that it has something to do with getting focus on the embed element, but that is merely a guess.     Is there a way to use jQuery (or generic javascript) to disable CSS inheritance on a block level? For example, if I am pulling in an external resource via javascript, say pastie.org, they will have their own CSS that my CSS overrides. I would like to place the embed code into its own container that has CSS inheritance disabled. This is not my own CSS structure, so I can't rename IDs Classes or inline anything to make it work, the holy grail of inheritance blocking is my last resort.

I have been building up the javascript with StringBuilder.Appendline then registering a startup script with code behind but this stinks and I feel there has to be a better way of going about this.     I have a very, very basic memoization decorator that I need to optimize below: def memoize(function): memos = {} def wrapper(*args): try: return memos[args] except KeyError: pass result = function(*args) memos[args] = result return result return wrapper The goal is to make this so that it doesn't add on to the call stack. It actually doubles it right now. I realize that I can embed this on a function by function basis, but that is not desired as I would like a global solution for memoizing. Any ideas?
