  Cookie error Hi, I am running S60 SDK 5th with Eclipse pulsar on win 7. I have oauth_token using with this Url https://www.linkedin.com/uas/oauth/authorize?oauth_token=. To get that grant access screen by LinkedIn. I am loading above Url using htmlComponent, and adding HtmlComponent to form and show it. Occasionally when I click on the "Ok I'll Allow It" button (i.e. after the button has been pressed) I get the following error message. "We’re sorry, there was a problem with your request. Please make sure you have cookies enabled and try again." but i'm receiving the response with oauth_token, oauth_token_secret, oauth_callback_confirmed = true, xoauth_request_auth_url, oauth_expires_in. Some buddy please help.

  I'm trying to get the source of a java resource stored in an oracle database using this code (connecting as SYSTEM for testing): DECLARE javalob CLOB; BEGIN DBMS_LOB.CREATETEMPORARY(javalob, false); DBMS_JAVA.EXPORT_RESOURCE('RESOURCENAME', 'SCHEMA', javalob); DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(javalob); END; But when I try to run it I get this: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.SecurityException: cannot read <Resource Handle: RESOURCENAME|SCHEMA|301> because SYSTEM does not have execute privilege on it This thing is, I'm not sure how to grant permissions on <Resource Handle: RESOURCENAME|SCHEMA|301>, as this isn't a SQL or PL/SQL object. And why doesn't SYSTEM have access to it anyway?

• SVN Path Based Authorization: Granting listing access but not read access

  Hello, We're using path-based-authorization module for Apache SVN. It all works fine, except that when users try to check out code they have access to, their SVN clients get confused if they don't have at least read access to the parent directories - all the way up to root. It works, but some clients just get confused sometimes. Because SVN path-based-authorization is recursively applied, we don't want to give all users read access to root, because that would give them access to all source code in the repository. It would, however, be acceptable if users could get directory listings (just not actual lines of code) for the entire repository. This would prevent the svn clients from getting confused. Does any one know how to grant permissions to get directory listings without granting permissions to the actual contents of the files? Thanks!

  Hi all, I was wondering if it was possible to generate security credentials per individual Amazon S3 bucket. I am working with a developer and would like to grant him access only to the bucket we are working with. It's not a trust issue, it's more a concern that he'll delete the wrong bucket or its contents. For example: If we were working on an application that used a bucket called test-application I could generate the credentials for just that one bucket. These credentials would not allow access to other buckets in my account. Is this possible? Thanks, Tony

  I'm writing a SQL Server stored procedure in which I want to lock a table for update before executing the body of the stored procedure. I don't want to prevent other processes from reading the table, but I do want to prevent other processes updating the table. Here is my first attempt: CREATE PROCEDURE someProcedure BEGIN SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ COMITTED BEGIN TRANSANCTION SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TheTable WITH (UPDLOCK, TABLOCK) -- Pause procedure so that we can view the locks with sp_lock WAITFOR DELAY '00:15' -- Do stuff COMMIT END When I execute the stored procedure, and invoke sp_lock, I see that the table is indeed locked. • Prevent Method call without Exception using @PreAuthorize Annotation

  Hi all. We are using Spring Security 3. We have a custom implementation of PermissionEvaluator that has this complex algorithm to grant or deny access at method level on the application. To do that we add a @PreAuthorize annotation to the method we want to protect (obviously). Everything is fine on that. However the behavior that we are looking for is that if a hasPermission call is denied, the protected method call only needs to be skipped, instead we are getting a 403 error each time that happens.   Hi all, I have this regex that allow all php files : ^.*\.([Pp][Hh][Pp]) how can I exclude a specific file, for example test.php ?   Hi, We are facing an issue with MS access. There are two users having the same access for tables and previliges in database. But one user can access the tables from MS access and another user can't. Can you please let me know the reason. Thanks for updating from options. I am looking in to it. User having grant permissions for SELECT ANY TABLE, it works for SQL connection (E.g. Toad or SQL +), but not for MS Access Is there any issue with MS-Access. Please update me.

• How can I access the value of a checkbox without a postback?

  I have a radgrid controlling access to an application for users. There are two columns, a 'name' column and a checkbox 'access' column representing their current access permission. the checkboxes are populated from a database. I would like the to change the checkboxes to grant or deny access to the users I specify. Since there are alot of users I would like to make multiple changes and use a submit button to write the changes to the database. I do not want to postback with each checkbox change and wait for the page to "blink". My problem is that with the checkbox postback disabled, when I click submit, the value of the checkboxes are not registering the changes I make. I need a way to access the current client-side state of the checkbox or some workaround to accomplish this. Thanks in advance!

  I am running the demo application that is supplied with the facebook-ios-sdk. The application starts in the emulator, with a LogIn button. I click the button which then launches safari to grant access to the application. I log in with my fb creds and allow the application. I am the administrator for the application and I have verified I put in the right app key. After I allow access, it says "Safari cannot open the page because the address in invalid"...this is the url it's trying to go to: http://www.facebook.com/connect/uiserver.php... So am I missing something because the breakpoint for (void)fbDidLogin never gets hit...

• Amazon S3 as secure backup without multiple invoices

  I'm storing copies of database backups on Amazon S3 using the Python Boto library. But I worry that if my web server was hacked, those backups could be deleted using the credentials I need to do the upload. Ok, so I know you can grant permissions to another Amazon email address, so I can imagine doing that after an upload then removing the original user's write access BUT in this scenario I now end up with 2 accounts and 2 sets of invoices to give to accounts every month. Is there a solution to this that doesn't require a new Amazon account for each web server I run?

  Hi All, The problem: client needs a website to serve 10+ customers, each customer has 5-10 people they wish to grant access using login & user name, once "logged in" the user can download files specific to their company. The files will be uploaded to a directory under the customer name, and displayed as a list. Currently using membership for all of the users, it's just the "by customer" segmentation I'm wondering about. the question being under ASP.NET MVC what is the cleanest or simplest approach to solving the customer segmentation, trying to avoid customer membership provider so was going to use the roles to assign customer group. • Sql server execute permission; failure to apply permissions

  I've just migrated from SQL2000 to SQL2008 and I have started getting an execute permission issue on a stored proc which uses sp_OACreate. The rest of the system works fine with the db login which has been setup and added to the database. I've tried: USE master GO GRANT EXEC ON sp_OACreate TO [dbuser] GO But this fails with the following error: Msg 15151, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot find the user 'dbuser', because it does not exist or you do not have permission. I'm logged into the server as sa with full permissions. I can execute a similar sql statement and apply the permissions to a server role, however not a login/user. How do I apply the changes to the specific user/login? I can apply the permissions to the public role and it resolves my issue; however this seems to be a security issue to me which I don't really want to apply to the live server.

The users are subdivided into 3 groups with different privilege: admins,analysts and standards users. For every user should be stored into the database the following information: name,lastname,e-mail,age,password. • Should I allow my clients to open tickets/access trac?

  I just installed trac for this project I'm working on, since it's turned out to be a bit bigger than I anticipated. I've added a bunch of tickets with my clients requests which come in the form of emails, phone calls, and meetings. I've also added some stuff I know needs to be done/fixed but they haven't specifically requested. Should I grant them access to trac so they can submit the tickets themselves so I don't have to keep translating (words into tickets) for them? They're very non-technical, so I'm not sure how well it would work; they might open tickets and not provide enough detail, or get confused by all the different fields. If your answer is "no", should I at least let them view the tickets, so they can see what I'm working on, what's been done, hasn't been done? So they can stop calling me to say "xxx doesn't work" when it's already a ticket? (Not that this would work, but I could at least respond "see ticket #42")

  I am getting following error each time I tried to select database. The database 'DB Name' is not accessible. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.ObjectExplorer) Note: My OS is Win Vista. When I tried to open SQL Mgmt Studio as Run as administrator than I can able to access database properly. Any idea why it is giving error. I am also getting following error when my asp.net application is trying to access database. Cannot open database "DBName" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'PCName\abcd'. I am not very good with SQL Server, please let me know how to create user and grant them permission in case that is what causing the problem. Thanks.

• rails separate login for an api

  I have a very simple api that is part of a rails app that requires logging in. I just need a way to make the api part accessible with a simple form that allows the user to enter parameters like a key (just a simple one stored in the DB, no OAuth or anything), a userId to find and return a user via json, and maybe some other parameters like asking for their schedule.   In my organization, we are just beginning to use the Entity Framework for some applications. In the past, we have pushed developers to utilize stored procedures for all database access. In addition to helping with SQL injection, we tried to grant logins access to stored procedures only to keep security relatively tight. Although inserting, updating, and deleting are easily done through stored procedures in the EF, it appears to be difficult to use stored procedures to query data with EF. However, using LINQ or Entity SQL and allowing EF to create the queries means giving a user read access to the entire database. How have others handled this dilemma?
