    I was just switching from Windows to Ubuntu and I started to read this. And there were quite a few things I did not understand one was : "OpenOffice decided not to have a learning curve" And "Firefox tries very hard to make sure pages written in 1995 look like they did in 1995. " And Finally "Windows isn't a poor man's Linux." In the final statement shouldn't the statement be the opposite.

  • Best way to solve tile drawing in 2D side scroller?

    What i still can't figure out is which would be the more sane way / easier and faster way to draw the map on the screen.. I mean i will use many tiles for my maps in my side scroller.. But problem is should i make the maps in whole images like one .png file for each map (Example) or should i draw the tiles by code like a for loop in c++..   • Extend OER to enable deletion of unsubmitted assets

    This post provides a small extension to OER 11g that allows users without full Registrar permissions to delete their own unsubmitted assets. When the extension is installed in OER, a delete button conditionally appears on the Asset Details page of the OER Web App. The button is only visible if the selected Asset is in the 'Unsubmitted' state and the asset was created by the current user.     I am using MediaTemple web hosting and they are using Edgecast's CDN network. I am planning to join CDN service, so I read through the guide, but I am confused about the 'Update your code' section: Does the CDN apply to my website automatically (without editing HTML) after I updated the DNS zone file?
