  • Registry (possibly) error in Windows 7 : I can not resize columns in any program except explorer

    I experimented with Winbuilder and after some time I noticed that I cannot resize columns in uTorrent, move bookmarks and bookmark folders in Chrome, then cannot resize columns in Comodo Programs Manager - everywhere !!! Fro example , in uTorrent, columns just froze where I left them last time. But Windows Explorer is functioning properly. Where should I search for this problem ?? I think this is something wrong with registry, but regular registry cleaners do not helps. And I cannot even resize a columns in regedit - this is a real hell !

  • MAMP - Unable to turn off PHP E_STRICT error reporting

    For some reason, MAMP won't allow me to turn off E_STRICT warnings. I've tried everything from changing the value explicitly in php.ini to error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_STRICT) in my file... to explicitly saying php_ini('error_reporting', E_ALL & ~E_STRICT). I'm entirely confused as to why this is happening, and from what I can tell its specific to MAMP. The version of PHP I'm running is 5.2.13 - and before you start telling me I shouldn't be ignoring those warnings, lets just be clear that I am using a framework that requires that E_STRICT be ignored. (lame, I know.)

  • VirtualBox cloned Ubuntu Server network error

    I run a number of virtual servers on my network and I want to be able to easily clone base installations of Ubuntu Server. I use the VBoxManage command to clone the actual hard disk and I then create a new profile for my VM and copy over the settings of the original VM. However, when I boot into the cloned VM, there seems to be a network problem. When I issue a PING I get the message "Network unreachable". I traced it down to the fact that the virtual network card of the cloned VM has a different MAC address then the original VM. When I copy the MAC address the clone seems to work fine. How can I have the cloned VM have it's own MAC address?

  • Unable to install .NET Framework 3.5 to my XP machine

    I have an application that requires .NET 3.5, but I can't install it. The installer quits saying "it has encoutered a problem during setup. If I look at some of the error logs in the tmp directory I see. Error occurred while initializing fusion. It seems that I have 2.0 SP1 installed. Any ideas how I can get it to work? I went through the temp directory and found these references to the error. Any ideas?   • mysql error code 13 on windows xampp caused by lower case table names = 0

    I can import an sql (from test linux server mysql) file if the lower case setting is removed. But then the table names are lower case and the web site doesn't work. Originally it was working (my.ini with the lower case settings), I then exported to a linux server, it was working there. Now importing back to my windows (xampp setup) fails. After wild goose chase looking at disks and permissions, I found that if I remove the lower_case_table_names=0, the import works! But I need the case sensitive command so that I can deploy on the linux server.

The problem has appeared spontaneously at some point too. The Cassandra cluster has been working very smoothly with a good write throughput. It is very stable and has enough resources to work with. We did not notice any problems with the applications that depend on it.

    I have been trying to create a macro to be executed every time I open the document. I tried to use the Open event, but it does not seem to be working. The code is below: Private Sub Workbook_Open() Cells(3, 1) = "WOWWW" End Sub (It might seem ridiculous but I am trying to make any chunk of code to work, to move further with the start-time macro). Each time I open the file, the cell (A3) does not seem to be changing. Any ideas on this? I don't know if it matters, but I don't open the file directly. I open it through opening the Excel program and then File Tab - Open - File. That is because I have a problem if I open the file directly, which is another matter.

    I have a fresh install of IIS 7 - I just added Web Platform Installer, and PHP 5.2 thru that. However, when trying to access to a simple test.php file (just has phpinfo() in it), I get the following list of errors: • IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly. • IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application. • The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL. • The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed. The domain was created with dot net panel, but I don't think that has to do with this problem, unless maybe it uses a specific user? Maybe I need to add php thruough dot net panel? Any idea of what I'm doing wrong here?

    Hello- I recently installed MySQL on Fedora13. Now, when I try to create a database, it denies me access. I tried resetting the password and it does not recognize my system root. I tried resetting password with an init-file containing: UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('MyNewPass') WHERE User='root'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; I tried uninstall and then reinstall and it is still not working. I am new to Linux and not comfortable with the filesystem. Talk to me like I'm four. Thank you, kindly.

  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2012 Error

    I just started with MDT2012 recently in hopes of eventually getting away with using Ghost to deploy all of our department computers. When I test deploy in VirtualBox, it deploys the OS properly, but stops because of a network driver failure (it gets the "could not allocate resources" issue). On physical hardware (Latitude E6500, Optiplex 980, and an older Latitude) it gets through the multicast and stops immediately after with: "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information" I've looked at the logs and never see anything really of note. Originally I was using DriverPacks from DriverPacks.net, but thinking it was a driver issue, I switched over to using Dell's cab driver packs. Still the same issue. I check and it did the HDD is all fine - it was properly partitioned, set to bootable, and was loaded with all the proper OS installer files. I'm using a flash drive to do the install - when I make changes to the deployment share I rebuild and copy the ISO to the drive, then use YUMI multiboot to start the ISO (probably irrelevant).

    (I'm not sure if here is the best place for that question, so I will be pleased if anyone suggests me a more proper forum for that.) I'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.04.4 in a netbook (from an usb), but the kernel stops very early in initialization process. After two days of research, I've found that it boots with the parameter pci=conf2 but not with the default conf1 method. Nevertheless, after kernel boot, it seems that Ubuntu can't find usb devices and I'm not be able to install it. Trying with Debian, its a graphic installer and I found that the mouse isn't working neither.I think pci devices are not working. I tried about 50% of kernel pci boot options in the kernel-parameters file (in conjunction with the implicit default conf1) without luck. Any suggestions? PS: The problem is the same with kernel 2.6 or 3. (In Spanish) No estoy seguro si éste es el mejor lugar para esta pregunta, por lo cual estaré encantado si alguno me sugiere un mejor lugar para ella. Estoy intentando instalar Ubuntu 12.04.4 en una netbook (desde un usb), pero el kernel se detiene muy temprano en la inicialización. Después de dos días de investigar, encontré que arranca con el parámetro pci=conf2 pero no con método default conf1. Sin embargo después de que el kernel arranca, parece que Ubuntu no logra encontrar los dispositivos usb y no puedo instalar el sistema.   • IIS get full error message for failed requests

    I have IIS set-up and serving my webservice. Unfortunately if the webservice throws an exception, all I get is a blue box with the title failed request. What options do I have to actually see what went wrong? I'd prefer to get the exception message and a stack trace. I already set-up "Failed Request Tracing" but the directory remains empty. If possible I'd prefer to get the stack trace in the browser directly. Just if this matters: I have an IIS 7.5 on a Win 7 64 Pro box. The Webservice is a WCF C# project.

    I'm installing OPSMGR I have 2 x servers running WS2012R2 with Windows updates applied SQL 2012 SP1 I've made sure the SQL collation is correct I'm installing all roles apart from Reporting on the SCOM server. All of the Prerequisites have passed. I can see the database is created in SQL but it doesn't go past "Operational Database Configuration" It hangs on "Importing System Library Management Pack" Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I've inherited a position and instructions for creating a new git repository. Unfortunately I've run into problems and no one here knows what to do. Hoping someone can help me out. Here are the instructions I was left: Create a new repository: For these steps you need to be in the gitosis-admin repository, if you don't have it, in a suitable parent folder do: git clone [email protected]:gitosis-admin.git Edit gitosis.conf file - in gitosis-admin root, under [group base-repo] section, add the name of the new repo to the end of the "writable =" section. Commit change and push back to gitosis-admin master. It created a local folder on my machine called gitosis-admin. I edited the gitosis.conf file as indicated. But when I try to do step 3 (which I assume is git push gitosis-admin master) bash tells me that fatal: 'master' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly What am I doing wrong?

  • Error connecting ESX 5.0.0 to domain

    I am trying to connect an ESX 5.0.0 to our Domain Controler, in order to give a Domain group specific roles security. But I do not see any groups after the host connects to the domain. Under Configuration - Authentication Services - I connected the host to the domain: I created the role I wanted, with the selected approved features But when I want to add a permission to a set of VM's, I can not see "my domain" on the drop down, only the: "localhost" How do I see "my domain" on the Domain drop down - so I can select the domain group to give the role to? To note: I followed the instructions to connect to the domain form VMware site.

  • Unknown device error installing Lexmark printer in Vista

    I have been using Lexmark X3650 All-In-One on my Windows Vista Desktop PC for a year without problem. Yesterday, I was prompted to plug in the USB from the printer and after that I got errors: "The USB device has malfunctioned." ,"The unknown device has been installed unsuccessfully.". Then, the printer just stoped responding. I have uninstalled the driver from Device Manager and software (using Lexmark's clean utility), rebooted, reinstalled, same thing, tried different ports/cable. Vista displays these two errors stated above immediately upon plug in. Please help me!
