• How to handle multiple domains correctly? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Could I buy a domain name to increase traffic to my site like this? I have a website with multiple keyword based domains ( 2 actully) Now both domains are common google searches for the topic. What i'm intrested is to handle the domains as such that google can recognize the seconed domain with the same page rank as the primary domain, so it will also appear on the first page. My question is how do i do it correctly so i will help SEO? meaning i want the 2nd domain to be on the first page, because the primary is on the first page for it's keyword. do i simple put a redirect in the index.php file? Or to do a 301 redirect? or change the .htaccess file? Or create a domain pointer in the Control panel?

• Deriving from a component and implementing IDisposable properly

  I have a Visual Studio 2008 C# .NET 2.0 CF project with an abstract class derived from Component. From that class, I derive several concrete classes (as in my example below). But, when I go to exit my Form, though the Form's Dispose() member is called and components.Dispose() is called, my components are never disposed. • How can I get to the value of my WPF UserControl DependencyProperty from UI Automation Framework?

  Hi, I'm having trouble getting access to my WPF UserControl DependencyProperty values through the UI Automation Framework. I've used James McCaffreys article in MSDN as a starting point (Automating IO Tests in WPF Applications, MSDN March 2009), but I can only see properties etc in standard controls such as buttons. I'm assuming there's some Automation interface I have to implement on my UserControl, but what and how? I can already see my control fine e.g. in UISpy, but I can't see the dependency properties within it. • No windows whatsoever after compiz reset

  Currently using 12.04. This time I was trying to use the application switcher, and it asked me to resolve a few conflicts most of which were not easy to comprehend. So after some yes and no dialogue boxes leading me nowhere, I thought a reset should set things fine. However, after preferences-reset to default, I can't see any window!! NONE whatsoever except the log out one when I press ctrl+alt+del All I can see is the wallpaper and the mouse pointer. I cant even see the terminal or anything when I press alt+f2. I am posting this when I switch to ubuntu 2d (I cant make out the difference between the two, but this just works for now almost the same way)

  I have written an application and added 2 contacts on emulator, but i am not able to update their names on android 2.1, code is working on android 1.6 platform with the following code. ContentValues contactValues = new ContentValues(); contactValues.put(Contacts.People.NAME, firstName+" "+lastName); getContentResolver().update(UpdateContactUri, contactValues, null, null); In android 1.6 i am getting Uri for those two contacts are "content:// contacts/people/1" and "content://contacts/people/2". but in 2.1 I am getting these values are "content://contacts/people/8" and "content://contacts/people/9" and while updating its giving "java.IllegalArgumentException, Empty values" exception. When i tried to put a static Uri like "content://contacts/people/1", code was debugged sucessfully but contact was not updated. How can i resolve it, why i am not getting uri like 1.6 platform ?   Given a string such as: "new/path - path/path/03 - filename.ext", how can I use NSScanner (or any other approach) to return the substring from the last "/" to the end of the string, i.e., "03 - filename.ext"?   I'm playing around with the Lahman Baseball Database in a MySQL instance. I want to find the players who topped home runs (HR) for each year. • How to open email by x-gm-msgid in Gmail with Javascript

  I'm writing an extension which surfaces links to gmail messages. As the UI loads right in Gmail, I should be able to click on one of these links and have Gmail load it (without refreshing). I have "x-gm-msgid" available and theoretically, I should just be able to navigate to "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]". I've tried using location.hash = "#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]" I've tried using history.pushState(null, null, "/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]") Neither of which works. Gmail just thwarts any attempt to change the URL (unless it is done via user interaction) Any thoughts on how to get around this restriction?

• Can't disable giant cursors (from accessibility mode)

  I've just installed ubuntu 12.04 from a livecd. Out of curiosity, I enabled the accessibility options for people who are hard of sight. As you can guess this does the usual stuff of inverting colours, increasing text size and making the cursor larger. Having finished the installation I booted into the new system to find accessibility mode was still installed. From the lightdm login screen I disabled this which switched colours and text size back to default, however it's only the pointer cursor that has gone back to default. To put it another way, the "hand" icon that you get when hovering over a link, the cursor which appears when typing and pretty much every other cursor on the system are still large. I've looked on the Universal Access menu, but there's no option to disable large cursors. I've tried toggling accessibility on and off but to no avail.

  I want to implement functionality which let user share posts by other users similar to what Facebook and Google+ share button and twitter retweet. There are 2 choices: 1) I create duplicate copy of the post and have a column which keeps track of the original post id and makes clear this is a shared post. 2) I have a separate table shared post where I save the post id which is a foreign key to post id in post table. Talking in terms of programming basically I keep pointer to the original post in a separate table and when need to get post posted by user and also shared ones I do a left join on post and shared post table Post(post_id(PK), post_content, posted_by) SharedPost(post_id(FK to Post.post_id), sharing_user, sharedfrom(in case someone shares from non owners profile)) I am in favour of second choice but wanted to know the advice of experts out there? One thing more posts on my webapp will be more on the lines of facebook size not tweet size.

  I know its possible to convert an image to CS_GRAY using public static BufferedImage getGrayBufferedImage(BufferedImage image) { BufferedImageOp op = new ColorConvertOp(ColorSpace .getInstance(ColorSpace.CS_GRAY), null); BufferedImage sourceImgGray = op.filter(image, null); return sourceImgGray; } however, this is a chokepoint of my entire program. I need to do this often, on 800x600 pixel images and takes about 200-300ms for this operation to complete, on average. I know I can do this alot faster by using one for loop to loop through the image data and set it right away. The code above on the other hand constructs a brand new 800x600 BufferedImage that is gray scale. I would rather just transform the image I pass in. Does any one know how to do this with a for loop and given that the image is RGB color space?

• How to listen for file system changes MAC - kFSEventStreamCreateFlagWatchRoot

  Hi All, I am listening for Directory and disk changes in a COCOA project using FSEvents. I need to get events when a root folder is renamed or deleted. So, I passed kFSEventStreamCreateFlagWatchRoot while creating the FSEventStream.But even if I delete or rename the root folder I am not getting corresponding FSEventStreamEventFlags. Any idea what could possibly be the issue. I am listening for changes in a USB mounted device. I used both FSEventStreamCreate and FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice. One thing I notices is when I try with FSEventStreamCreate I get the following error message while creating FSEventStream: (CarbonCore.framework) FSEventStreamCreate: watch_all_parents: error trying to add kqueue for fd 7 (/Volumes/NO NAME; Operation not supported) But with FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice there are no errors but still not getting kFSEventStreamEventFlagRootChanged in event flags. Also, while creation using FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice apple say's if I want to listen to root path changes pass emty string "". But I am not able to listen to root path changes by passing empty string. But when I pass "/" it works. But even for "/" I do not get any proper FSEventStreamEventFlags.   I need to obtain a File object from a URI, working in Java, but keep getting a length of zero - though I know the file size is not zero. I need the File object to pass to another constructor. I'm not sure if it's because I'm constructing it in the wrong way?   I have a mediaOutput tag which, in its createContent attribute, requires the backing bean to be in a certain state. A list of values, which is filled in an init method, must be available. I therefore added a keepAlive tag for the whole backing bean. I now indeed see the backingBean in stead of some (richfaces) proxy bean, but the filled list is null again. How to make this possible?   Hi all: I am working on a script, that needs to be run in many different SQL servers. Some of them, shared the same structure, in other words, they are identical, but the filegroups and the DB names are different. This is because is one per client. Anyway, I would like when running a script, If I chose the wrong DB, it should not be executed. I am trying to mantain a clean DB. here is my example, which only works for dropping a view if exists, but does not work for creating a new one. I also wonder how it would be for creating a stored procedure.
