• Cannot bind to list<T>.property or list<T>.item.property in details section of Telerik report

  I have created a Telerik report and I am setting the datasource on runtime to an object with some properties and a List. I am using the properties in the page and report header sections and i want to use the list as the details. Now the problem is binding to the List's item properties in the details section. I have played around with the expression builder and it seems that i should access the properties like this : [=Fields.myList.Item.myProperty] when i run the program i get a nice big red rectangle with the following error : An error has occured while processing TextBox 'textBox28':Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program. I have tried to change different variants of expression which also gives me other errors [=Fields.myList.myPropery] An error has occured while processing TextBox 'textBox28': The expression contains object 'myProperty' that is not defined in the current context. The closest i have gotton was with the object it self, which outputs the object.toString() [=Fields.myList]

  I'm trying to implement a Save State for my iPhone App. I've got a plist file called SaveData.plist and I can read it in via the following NSString *pListPath2 = [bundle pathForResource:@"SaveData" ofType:@"plist"]; NSDictionary *dictionary2 = [[NSDictionary alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:pListPath2]; self.SaveData = dictionary2; [dictionary release]; The Plist file has members SavedGame which is a Boolean to tell the app if there really is valid data here (if they did not exit the app in the middle of a game, I don't want their to be a Restore Point. Score which is an NSNumber. Time which is an NSNumber Playfield which is a 16 element array of NSNumbers How do I access those elements inside of the NSDictionary?

• Clear sqlalchemy reflection cache

  Hi all, I'm using sqlalchemy's reflection tools to get a Table object. I do this because these tables are dynamic and tables/columns can change. Here's the code I'm using: def getTableByReflection(self, tableName, metadata, engine): return Table(tableName, metadata, autoload = True, autoload_with = engine) The problem is that when the above code is run twice it seems to return the same results regardless of whether or not the columns have changed. I have tried refreshing using the mysession.refresh(mytable) but that fails because the table is not attached to any metadata - which makes sense but then why am I seeing cached results? Is there any way to tell the metadata/engine/session to forget about this table and let me load it cleanly?

For some reason, Urban Airship is making each character of the string into its own tag. I've tried to substitute the - for a string neg with the same results. What's wrong?

I wish sometime to check have i placed it into the DOM before or it is still virtual. // check if elem is placed in the DOM (it's not) document.getElementByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(elem); // check - and it's finally in the document When use jquery i can write '$(elem).filter(':visible') or even $(elem).visible() if i remember correctly. But if it's based on the same javascript, then... All i want is to check does the element exist only virtually or it can be found in a document (and still may be not visible).

• What's the deal with all of the abstract stuff?

  I see a lot of talk about MVVM, MVC, Design Patterns etc... You know, some guy has a blog, and he spent the last six months learning about one these things and desiging a program centered around that concept and then he goes on and on about it like its better than sliced bread. I read all of this crap and I wonder, whatever happened to simple logical programming? Not self-absorbed huge frameworks of design patterns and mvc and whatever else you can think of... just simple linear programming, perhaps a few classes to encapsulate things here and there.

• How can we make the video play in a small view and also filling that whole view?

  I have added an imageView of size 300*300 into the interface in my ipad project. I can play the video fullscreen using MPMOviePlayerController. And I am trying to make it play in the imageView by using the following code. [imageView1 addSubview:moviePlayer.view]; [self.moviePlayer play]; Its playing but not as fullscreen and also not filling the whole imageview. Its kind of playing on the top quarter of the view and that too not the whole movie view - about lower right 60% only. How can I fix this? How can I make the movie play on the whole imageview like it plays on the full screen?

  If I have Map setup like: map.put("foo", "123"); map.put("bar", "456"); map.put("baz", "789"); then I want to do something like: for (String key : map.keySet().toArray(new String[0])) { // marshall out to .xml a tag with the name key and the // value map.get(key) } So what it will marshal out is something like: <map> <foo>123</foo> <bar>456</bar> <baz>789</baz> </map> Can I do this with some fancy JAXB annotations or is there something else that lends it self to dynamic element names? • Cluster of computers for rent?

  I am doing a project in the university which requires running of multiple instances (1000s) of a program I've written (in C++), which runs for quite a while (say 2 hours). The program is very self contained - it does not require input files, and the only dependency I think is boost. I'm currently using the university-owned cluster of computer. However, it's quite old and the jobs dispatching and monitors services are pretty bad. So I was wondering whether I can run my jobs elsewhere, for some money. For example, I looked a bit into Google App Engine, but as it seems every job must end after 30 seconds it is not suitable for me. Maybe Amazon EC2? Do you know of such options?

  Hey all, quick question. My end goal is to start developing apps for the iPhone but my current skillset is pretty limited. I'm wondering how far back I should go back and where I should start as far as becoming familiar with coding before the iPhone SDK course on Lynda.com isn't something that makes my eyes glaze over. My experience: I taught myself html from the html for dummies book maybe 10 years ago, I've taken a dreamweaver class and built a few sites with it, and I've customized a self hosted Wordpress blog by playing with the php code. Any tips on where I should start if I want to head down the road toward developing for the iPhone? Thanks!

In other words, when the user taps the red pin on the map, is there a way to prevent it from highlighting the pin. Right now the pin turns dark when touched... • How to set -Xbootclasspath for a JRE with a custom launcher?

  I have a Java application which is using a certain Java Runtime Environment. The application uses it's own launcher to startup the java virtual machine. No use of the java.exe, javaw.exe, javaws.exe binaries is being made -- as the application seems to have it's own launcher which is a different executable. This custom launcher is using the rest of the JRE files, such as bin/client/jvm.dll and rt.jar package etc. Now, the problem is that I want to set a boot class path for this custom launcher. The custom launcher does not support the -Xbootclasspath command line parameter, like the default java.exe does. Is there any way for me to set the boot class path now for this java runtime environment? Thanks in advance.   Hello, I'm working on the app that uses CoreData. There is location entity that holds latitude and longitude values. I'd like to fetch those entities sorted by distance to the user's location. I tried to set sort descriptor to distance formula sqrt ((x1 - x2)^2 + (y1 - y2)^2) but it fails with exception "... keypath ... not found in entity". • Best way to parse XMPP-like XML streams?

  I am working on a server application which receives data over a TCP socket in an XMPP-like XML format, i.e. every child of the <root> element essentially represents one separate request (stanza). The connection is closed as soon as </root> is received. I do know that I must use a stream parser like SAX, somehow. Though, for convenience, I'd prefer to have a tree-like interface to access each stanza's child elements. (The data sent with every request is not large so I think it makes sense to read each stanza as a whole.) What's the best way to realize that in Python (preferably v3)? • Most Efficient Way to Write to Fixed Width File (Ruby)

  I'm currently working with extremely large fixed width files, sometimes well over a million lines. I have written a method that can write over the files based on a set of parameters, but I think there has to be a more efficient way to accomplish this.   How can I declare a field, in the Rails model, when it doesn't have any "has_" relations, or validations, or delegations? I just need to ensure its existence and column width in the schema. Currently, I have no mention of the field in the "schema section" of the model file, but it's referenced in various methods that use it, and this seems to work. However, depending on my exact creation workflow, the underlying database table may be created as t.binary "field_name", :limit => 32 or t.binary "field_name", :limit => 255 This is not a restriction on the value (any binary value is valid, even NULL), only on the table column declaration. As it happens, 32 is enough -- it never receives any larger value, it's only ever written to like this: self.field_name = SecureRandom.random_bytes(32)

• Ttstyledtextlabel does not draw properly when text property is assigned multiple times

  I have A ttstyledtextlabel in my uitableview cell. It has got some web URLs for images which are being rendered. But since images take some time to download i reload the cell after sometime to render the images if they have been downloaded. The problem I am facing is that during subsequent assignment of text if the size of the label changes, happens when images have been successfully loaded the label does not render properly but rather blanks out. But I see the proper label when is scroll and come back to the cell again. Anyone faced this issue or simply when the following line is executed multiple times, the Styled Label goes blank StyledView.text = [TTStyledText textFromXHTML:[self getStyledText] lineBreaks:YES URLs:YES];

  Hi I have a app that starts with a empty UITableViewController, which is pretty .. well, emtpy. Now I was wondering if I could hint the user by painting something else on the view, like pointing an arrow to the plus button and say something like "press here to add something new" I'll guess I have to do this in the viewDidLoad method, where I also init my NSFetchedResultsController, so I actually know if there are any objects in my list.
