• How to strip outgoing mail headers in postfix?

  I have a mail server running on my box. I have webmail access, as well as ability to send mail thru a client. When I send mail thru a web interface (roundcube) it attaches its own headers, so the sender is kept anonymous. When sending mail thru Outlook, or Thunderbird, it attaches its own header, which lists the IP address, computer name, etc. Is there a way to ahve postfix strip these outgoing headers, and replace them with the standard "web mail" header that I get with roundcube?

• Django: How can I delete a formset entry if one of it's data is blank?

  Hi, I have the following scenario: I have a form with data that does not need translation and a formset with a textfield that should be translated into an undefined amount of languages. Both parts are bound to a model. Each translated text is kept in a model with a foreign key that binds it to the untranslatable data. Something like: class Person(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=60) birth_date = models.DateField() class PersonBio(models.Model): person = models.ForeignKey(Person) locale = models.CharField(max_length=10) bio = models.TextField() Each form in the formset has 2 fields: A textfield (with the translated text) A locale field (with the language into which the text was translated) I've got it working with no problems until I tryed to change it's normal behaviour. I wanted to eliminate the need for the DELETE field by deleting an instance of the translated text if the textfield was left blank. I've googled quite a lot now and read the whole documentation for forms, formsets and model validation but had no luck. To be honest, I couldn't even think of a solution. Where should I implement this? On a Form clean() method? On the view? Somewhere in the Fieldset? Fieldset's save() method, maybe? I'll keep trying to find a way to do that, but any help/tip/clue is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  I'm trying to use Ajax Control Toolkit's Autocomplete extender with a WCF Service. This question is almost what I'm looking for, one of the answers points to a tutorial but I can't get it to work. In my solution I have a web form application project and a WCF service library project. It scrolls to row1. If I come back to this first form again,by pressing the back button, the row is reset to 1. gSelectedPlant takes a value 1 and selectedindex = 0. This makes sense but I am not yet able to figure out how to maintain the value of gSelectedPlant. Yes it takes a null intitally but on databindingcomplete it becomes 1.

  I have a very purdy styled search box in my wordpress install, and looking for continuity I want the same for my bbpress forum - currently I'm failing. I can make it look fine (and consistent) with by removing the - but then it's obviously just a dummy with no search - any ideas to fix the latter? • Datagridview DateTime Format not using System Region settings

  I've got a datagridview that is hooked up to a bindingsource on my main form. One of the columns and datamembers in the bindingsource is a DateTime object. When the datagridview shows this item it doesn't use Window's default region settings for displaying datetime. The weird thing is, I can access this same DateTime object and print it to a text box, or even pass it off to another form with another datagridview and binding source and it actually shows up properly in that table. So then, why does the datagridview on my main form not use the regional date/time settings when converting the DateTime object to a string? I've checked that there was no special formatting applied to the datagridview and so I'm running out of ideas to check. Do you guys know if there is any super secret way to get a datagridview to follow system regional format rules or not? Also, since I highly doubt that I did something different with this datagridview vs the others in my application, the next potential area for issue could be on application load: Perhaps since this comes up when the application loads, it's not getting the same cultureUI settings as the other datagridviews? Any Help?

  Suppose I have a form opened via the .ShowDialog() method. At some point I attach some event handlers to some controls on the form. e.g. // Attach radio button event handlers. this.rbLevel1.Click += new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); this.rbLevel2.Click += new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); this.rbLevel3.Click += new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); When the form closes, I need to remove these handlers, right? At present, I am doing this when the FormClosing event is fired. e.g. private void Foo_FormClosing(object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e) { // Detach radio button event handlers. this.rbLevel1.Click -= new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); this.rbLevel2.Click -= new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); this.rbLevel3.Click -= new EventHandler(this.RadioButton_CheckedChanged); } However, I have seen some examples where handlers are removed in the Dispose() method. • Thread Message Loop Hangs in Delphi

  Hello all. I have a simple Delphi program that I'm working on, in which I am attempting to use threading to separate the functionality of the program from its GUI, and to keep the GUI responsive during more lengthy tasks, etc. Basically, I have a 'controller' TThread, and a 'view' TForm. The view knows the controller's handle, which it uses to send the controller messages via PostThreadMessage. I have had no problem in the past using this sort of model for forms which are not the main form, but for some reason, when I attempt to use this model for the main form, the message loop of the thread just quits. • Firefox 3.6 and CSS difference from previous versions of Firefox 3.5 and back?

  So, in upgrading to Firefox 3.6, the CSS broke on input boxes. The padding has increased -- it might also be the font-size is somehow behaving different. Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem yet. Can't quite figure it out. HTML CODE: <form> <fieldset> <label for="inputField">Label</label> <input type="text" id="inputField" /> </fieldset> </form> CSS CODE: form fieldset label { display:block; font-size:1.2em; font-weight:bold; padding:12px 9px; } #jumptoBox fieldset input { background: url("../images/input.png") no-repeat scroll left top transparent; font-size: 1.2em; padding: 4px 5px 16px; width: 99px; height: 29px; } (Image dimensions: 109 width x 34 height) So one thing to note, the fix (as outlined below) includes removing the height, or at least setting it to auto, and then compensating for it by using padding (a fix that bothers me on many levels, but we'll set that aside for now). BUT webkit seems to have its own problems with this now, since it wants to center the text vertically (ignoring any evidence of line-height) according to the height of everything. In other words, if you want the text vertically closer to the top, I haven't been able to figure out a way to do that. Ideas?

  I cannot sync my Outlook 2007 Inbox with my Windows Mobile device. The Inbox didn't show in sync setting in Windows Mobile Device Center. WMDC did show Calendar, Contacts, RSS Feeds and everything except Inbox. Using my mobile to receive emails ends with no error messages, but no email appears in the inbox of my mobile. What is wrong with Windows Mobile Device Center?

• Updating extra attributes in a has_many, :through relationship using Rails

  I've managed to set up a many-to-many relationship between the following models Characters Skills PlayerSkills PlayerSkills, right now, has an attribute that Skills don't normally have: a level. The models look something like this (edited for conciseness): class PlayerSkill < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :character belongs_to :skill end class Skill < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :player_skills has_many :characters, :through => :player_skills attr_accessible :name, :description end class Character < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :user has_many :player_skills has_many :skills, :through => :player_skills end So nothing too fancy in the models... The controller is also very basic at this point... it's pretty much a stock update action. The form I'm looking to modify is characters#edit. Right now it renders a series of checkboxes which add/remove skills from the characters. This is great, but the whole point of using has_many :through was to track a "level" as well. Here is what I have so far: - form_for @character do |f| = f.error_messages %p = f.label :name %br = f.text_field :name %p = f.label :race %br = f.text_field :race %p = f.label :char_class %br = f.text_field :char_class %p - @skills.each do |skill| = check_box_tag "character[skill_ids][]", skill.id, @character.skills.include?(skill) =h skill.name %br %p = f.submit After it renders "skill.name", I need it to print a text_field that updates player_skill. The problem, of course, is that player_skill may or may not exist! (Depending on if the box was already ticked when you loaded the form!) From everything I've read, has_many :through is great because it allows you to treat the relationship itself as an entity... but I'm completely at a loss as to how to handle the entity in this form.   Hello. I'm looking for a JavaScript library for my web application. The application is very data intensive and has rich form controls (almost windows like). AJAX will be used liberally. The development platform is ASP.Net (mostly ASP.Net MVC will be used). I cannot pursue with ExtJs due to the price/license factor. I checked Qooxdoo but it is very windows-unfriendly. YIU fell short of my needs w.r.t. form controls it offers. Other libraries like jQuery do not offer rich form controls. So I am looking recommendations for a library that satisfies most of following needs: Rich UI controls Solid API for AJAX handling Employs good programming practices for scripting in frontend (preferably OO but not mandatory) Free. Else has only development cost and not production Windows friendly (or at least not unfriendly) Not monolithic. Should be independent (Not have development & production dependencies) Theme'ing should be easy (preferably wrapped by the library) I am not mentioning other basic needs (like browser compatibility). I hope any popular library will honor those.

  Hi, I have problem in declaring the intents on my app. I have a form with text fields and spinner. I have added a button which onClick must display Datepicker.   I'm trying to run an ATM Simulation in C# with Windows Forms that can have more than one instance of an ATM machine transacting with a bank account simultaneously. The idea is to use semaphores/locking to block critical code that may lead to race conditions. My question is this: How can I run two Forms simultaneously on separate threads? In particular, how does all of this fit in with the Application.Run() that's already there? • How does browser know when to prompt user to save password?

  This is related to the question I asked here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2382329/how-can-i-get-browser-to-prompt-to-save-password This is the problem: I CAN'T get my browser to prompt me to save the password for the site I'm developing. (I'm talking about the bar that appears sometimes when you submit a form on Firefox, that says "Remember the password for yoursite.com? Yes / Not now / Never") This is super frustrating because this feature of Firefox (and most other modern browsers, which I hope work in a similar fashion) seems to be a mystery. It's like a magic trick the browser does, where it looks at your code, or what you submit, or something, and if it "looks" like a login form with a username (or email address) field and a password field, it offers to save. Except in this case, where it's not offering my users that option after they use my login form, and it's making me nuts. :-) (I checked my Firefox settings-- I have NOT told the browser "never" for this site. It should be prompting.) My question: exactly what the heuristics are that Firefox (or any other modern browser) uses to know when it should prompt the user to save? This shouldn't be too difficult to answer, since it's right there in the Mozilla source (I don't know where to look or else I'd try to dig it out myself). You'd think there would be a blog post or some other similar developer note from the Mozilla developers about this but I can't find that either. (* Note that if your answer to me has anything to do with cookies, encryption or anything else that is about how I'm storing the user's passwords in the database, you've probably misread my question. :-)

• problem with mysql character set & GWT

  Hi I've a SmartGWT application which interacts with a mysql database using rpc services. Suppose it as a simple form with a textbox & two save & load buttons. My database & tables & all fields collation is utf8_persian_ci. All java source files & module html & xml files have saved with utf8 character set. & also I've a meta tag in module html file which contains my form : <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> my application works correctly in eclipse develpment mode & also in my local tomcat server. Then i put it on remote server (I compress it using jar.exe into a war file with -cvf flag & then upload it using my server's plesk control panel). In this mode, when I load data from a mysql table (load a record from any table), data will load into my form with no problem, but when I want to save some data (in persian language), mysql just writes some ? (question sign) in characteristic table fields. Any idea ?

• Escaping single quote in PHP when inserting into MySQL

  I have a perplexing issue that I can't seem to comprehend... I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction... I have two SQL statements: - the first enters information from a form into the database. - the second takes data from the database entered above, sends an email and then logs the details of the transaction The problem is that it a appears that a single quote is triggering a MySQL error on the second entry only!!! The first instance works without issue but the second instance triggers the mysql_error(). Does the data from a form get handled differently from the data captured in a form?   PLEASE NOTE: I am reposting as the original was not answered correctly... I AM LOOKING FOR THE WHY - NOT THE SOLUTION - I KNOW THE SOLUTION, WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THE WHY! I have a perplexing issue that I can't seem to comprehend... I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction... I have two SQL statements: - the first enters information from a form into the database. - the second takes data from the database entered above, sends an email and then logs the details of the transaction The problem is that it a appears that a single quote is triggering a MySQL error on the second entry only!!! The first instance works without issue but the second instance triggers the mysql_error(). Does the data from a form get handled differently from the data captured in a form? • SWFUpload Authentication

  I am using SWFUpload to do file uploading in a ASP.NET MVC 1.0 website. It is working fine, but I am not able to authenticate the upload method. The HttpContext.User.Identity.Name returns an empty string. I am assuming this is because the Flash movie is making the post. I am also using the wrapper provided here: http://blog.codeville.net/2008/11/24/jquery-ajax-uploader-plugin-with-progress-bar/. The controller action below gets fired, but as mentiond above the user object is not passed. Any help is appreciated!   I am wondering if there is a free email client that automatically sends the email without needing to be open? I'm assuming this email client would have to install a service to do this. I think the newer versions of outlook can do this, but the version I have, does not do this.
