  I am getting this error in my sys.transmission_queue table whenever I attempt to send a SQL Service Broker message between two different SQL Server servers. (i.e. the databases are on two different physical machines) Dialog security is unavailable for this conversation because there is no security certificate bound to the database principal (Id: 5). Either create a certificate for the principal, or specify ENCRYPTION = OFF when beginning the conversation When this error refers to "database principal" what is it referring to? (the "master" database? dbo user?) I've used the CREATE CERTIFICATE command, backed up the certificate and created a same named certificate on the other server with the backup .cer file from the first server, but I keep getting this message. Any help would be appreciated in getting me pointed in the right direction. I must be missing something obvious. FYI, in my development environment, both the initiating and target databases were on the same physical server, and same SQL instance, and everything was working fine.

  Hi, I've got 2 files, my Application and a custom component. In my component I have a httpservice and a string named _requestUrl that is bindable. The httpservice uses this. <mx:HTTPService id="srv" url="{_requestUrl}" result="parseHttpResult(event)" resultFormat="xml" method="GET" useProxy="false"> </mx:HTTPService> In my application file I make an instance of my component in the onCreationComplete function. In this function if I say mycomponent._urlRequest ="http://mysite.com" the httpservice throws a null url error but if I say mycomponent.srv.url="http://mysite.com" it works fine. Why is this?

  I created a configuration named Test via Visual Studio which currently just takes all of DEBUG settings, however I employ compiler conditions to determine some specific actions if the build happens to be TEST|DEBUG|RELEASE. However how can I get my MSBUILD script to detect the TEST configuration?? Currently I build <MSBuild Projects="@(SolutionsToBuild)" Properties="Configuration=$(Configuration);OutDir=$(BuildDir)\Builds\" /> Where @(SolutionsToBuild) is a my solution. In the Common MsBuild Project Properties it states that $(Configuration) is a common property but it always appears blank? Does this mean that it never gets set but is simply reserved for my use or that it can ONLY detect DEBUG|RELEASE. If so what is the point in allowing the creation of different build configurations?

• What is the correct method to load an XML file and re-write it as a CSV?

  I have a XML file that I want to load into an unknown object type. (I say unknown object type because I am not sure what direction to go) Once I have the data loaded I need to do some processing on certain elements that are now loaded into the new object. For sake of example, we can say that the xml file is full of elements named <car> and within the car element I need to process the <mileage> element. Then once this is all done I need to write the file as a CSV file. I would like to do this is the most direct way possible. (The less code the better) I am using VS 2008 C#

• Longish list of allowed referrers

  I want to allow hotlinking only from a list of referrers (paying customers, probably a few hundred). I am on Apache 1.3 and I do not have access to the configuration (only .htaccess). What is the fastest way to implement this? My thoughts so far: PHP with database and readfile() (SSI with) Perl and database the list implemented as symlinks named after the allower referrer, then RewriteCond using HTTP_REFERER everything in .htaccess, lots of RewriteCond's everything in .htaccess, lots of SetEnvIf's Any better (faster) ways to do this? I gave the key of the Party object as a parameter to the "partyKey" named parameter. The model is like this: Party has multiple Participants. I want to query a participant based on the party and the name of the participant. I just can't figure out how to filter using the party. What options do I have?

Where can I find a table of default behavior when the value of a data type is out of range for different data types? • Using windows CopyFile function to copy all files with certain name format

  Hello! I am updating some C code that copys files with a certain name. basically, I have a directory with a bunch of files named like so: AAAAA.1.XYZ AAAAA.2.ZYX AAAAA.3.YZX BBBBB.1.XYZ BBBBB.2.ZYX Now, In the old code, they just used a call to ShellExecute and used xcopy.exe. to get all the files starting with AAAAA, they just gave xcopy the name of the file as AAAAA.* and it knew to copy all of the files starting with AAAAA. now, im trying to get it to copy with out having to use the command line, and I am running into trouble. I was hoping CopyFile would be smart enough to handle AAAAA.* as the file to be copied, but it doesnt at all do what xcopy did. So, any Ideas on how to do this without the external call to xcopy.exe?

• JavaScript helper libraries? No DOM or AJAX stuff

  As I'm writing JavaScript I'm always missing some fairly basic language features that JavaScript just don't have. So is there any library that would bring such features as trim, sprintf, str.endwith and etc. functions to JavaScript ? I just have written those functions too many times and I'm also tired of copy/pasting them from my old code. It would be nice to have some library which has those implemented and tested in one place. Note that I'm not talking about Ajax/DOM-libraries like jQuery or Dojo and such. I know that those libraries bring some of the features that I'm talking here, but not all. And I would like to have also an environment independent library so that same library could be used with server side JavaScript . Best library so far that I've found is php.js, but I don't like how it is polluting the global namespace. I'm also not too fond of how PHP-functions are named.

• WHERE IN Query with two recordsets in Access VBA

  Hi All, My first post here, so i hope this is the right area. I am currently trying to compare 2 recordsets, one of which has come from an Excel named range, and the other from a table in the Access database. The code for each is: Set existingUserIDs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT Username FROM UserData") Set IDsToImport = exceldb.OpenRecordset("SELECT Username FROM Named_Range") The problem is that I would like to somehow compare these two recordsets, without looping (there is a very large number of records). Is there any way to do a join or similar on these recordsets? I can not do a join before creating the recordsets, due to the fact that one is coming from Excel, and the other from Access, so they are two different DAO databases. The end goal is that I will choose only the usernames that do not already exist in the access table to be imported (so in an SQL query, it would be a NOT IN(table)).   hi i am comletly new to iis and asp.net i am trying to setup bugNET on a godaddy server. i created a virtual directory and once i tried to launch the site i get this error: Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. here is complete detail of what i did. hosting: godaddy created virtual directory (child folder of root) - named: devbunk with these settings (anonymous access, directory browsing) that is all i can do to with iis on godaddy. the error tells me that i need to turn the virtual directory as an application. godaddy doesnt let me do that... how do i do it? btw, i have iis7 setup.

• Appropriate high level language to deal with binary data

  Hi, I need to write a small tool that parses a textual input and generates some binary encoded data. I would prefer to stay away from C and the like, in favour of a higher level, (optionally) safer, more expressive and faster to develop language. My language of choice for this kind of tasks usually is Python, but for this case dealing with binary raw data can be problematic if one isn't very careful with the numbers being promoted to bignums, sign extensions and such. Ideally I would like to have records with named bitfields that are portable to be serialised in a consistent manner. (I know that there's a strong point in doing it in a language I already master, although it isn't optimal, but I think this could be a good opportunity to learn something new). Thanks.

I started in the Form Designer and made a button named "Click Me!" proceeded to double-click it and typed in MessageBox("Hello, World!"); I received the following error: MessageBox is a 'type' but used as a 'variable' Fair enough, it seems in C# MessageBox is an Object. I tried the following MessageBox a = new MessageBox("Hello, World!"); I received the following error: MessageBox does not contain a constructor that takes '1' arguments Now I am stumped. • How to view existing data in Core Data?

  Well, may be this question is silly, but I couldn't find a way (except programmatically). I built a project (for iPhone OS 3.0) which uses Core Data. The xcdatamodel file shows the schema description, but I want to see the data in tabular form (like the management studio for mssql server or phpmyadmin for mysql). Is there any way (except coding)? What is that? Also, which file (in disk/device) those data are stored into? [ I built the tutorial (from apple) on Core Data, named Locations. They used this line somewhere in the code: NSURL *storeUrl = [NSURL fileURLWithPath: [[self applicationDocumentsDirectory] stringByAppendingPathComponent: @"Locations.sqlite"]]; But, I did not see any "xxxxx.sqlite" file in project location (nor in the disk).]

• C# How to create objects without class definitions?

  Is it possible to create objects at designtime without having to have hard coded class definitions, then populate properties with primitives or even strongly typed data types? This might sound confusing, so I will attempt to give you a use case scenario. Use case: You have an XML config file that could hold configuration values for connecting to various systems in an SOA application. In C# the XML file is read, but for each system the configuration properties are different (e.g: SQL might have a connection string, while SharePoint might need a username + password + domain + url, while yet an smtp server would need username + password + port + url) So instead of creating static classes as follows public class SharePointConfiguration or public class SQLConfiguration, then have each class with custom properties (this is cumbersome) or using a 1990's method, an arrayList or some named collection Is there not a more preferred way to achieve this? Taking advantage of new language features, that can still offer design time intellisense, which would make the code easier to maintain and less prone to error. Thanks

• Inject a EJB into a JSF converter with JEE6

  Hi, I have a stateless EJB that acceses my database. I need this bean in a JSF 2 converter to retreive an entity object from the String value parameter. I'm using JEE6 with Glassfish V3 @EJB annotation does not work and gets a NPE, because it's in the faces context and it has not access to the ejb context. My question is: Is it still possible to Inject this bean (With a @Resource or other annotation, a JNDI lookup,...), or do i need a workaround? • How can I import the sqlite3 module into Python 2.4?

  The sqlite3 module is included in Python version 2.5+. However, I am stuck with version 2.4. I uploaded the sqlite3 module files, added the directory to sys.path, but I get the following error when I try to import it: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ? File "sqlite3/__init__.py", line 23, in ? from dbapi2 import * File "sqlite3/dbapi2.py", line 26, in ? from _sqlite3 import * ImportError: No module named _sqlite3 The file '_sqlite3' is in lib-dynload, but if I include this in the sqlite3 directory, I get additional errors. Any suggestions? I am working in a limited environment; I don't have access to GCC, among other things.
