  Hi all, I am developing an iPhone application which I need to distribute to an organization of about approximately 50 people, no. of users can increase or decrease in future. I checked my iPhone developer account, there I got that I can distribute my application via Adhoc Distribution up to 100 iPhone or iPod touch users. So I think it should be best way to distribute my application to that XYZ organization. On further searching I found that there is also an - iPhone Developer Enterprise Program, which is available to companies with 500 or more employees and a Dun & Bradstreet number. So I want to know - which will be the best way for me according to my requirements ? Also I want to know that say if I choose Adhoc distribution then is there any way for automatic up-gradation in it ie. to install new version of my application on user's iPhone or iPod without deleting the old version.   I am designing a site where external links form various are being shown on my page. I am using $url=$_GET['url']; $website_data = file_get_contents($url); echo $website_data; so essentially a user would click on a hyperlink which is something like www.test.com/display_page.php?url=http://www.xyz.com/article/2.jpg My page, list_of_images.php, typically has a list of images with href for each image as above on the page and when any image is clicked it would go to display_page.php, which would show our banner on the top of this page, some text and then this image beneath that. This image could be from any website. I am currently sending the url directly and grabbing it using GET. I understand that users/hackers can actually do some coding and send commands for the url variable and could break the server or do something harmful and so i would like to avoid this method or sending the url directly in the header. what is the alternate approach for this problem?

  I have a problem where I don't want to have to call a setEnv.sh file before i call my ant target that calls an exec task. Right now I have a way to save the environment variables in setenv.properties file in the key=value notation. The exec task for some reason does not see the variables that are set in the .properties file.... (I know i could use the tag but the setenv.properties is dynamically generated) setenv.properties: HELLO=XYZ part of my build.xml : <property file="setenv.properties"/> <target name="test" depends="setEnv"> <exec executable="/bin/ksh" newenvironment="false"> test.sh : echo ${HELLO} Any thoughts?

• Animation on single UIWebView

  I have searched quite a bit(sample one, Sample two) but cant seem to get the correct answer. I have a webview on my XYZ view controller class. When i press on a button, it takes an URL from an array and re-loads the same webview. Now I need to do the flip book animation on it. Same webview should be reloaded. That is the webview should rotate around its own axis 180/360 degree while the loading of next url is going on. Is this possible?

I defined a table in my database wich resume the profil and the url permitted like that: id_profil :1 url : http://localhost/...xyz.jsp id page 1 Now I am trying to let the menu modified appropriately to the id_profil of the logged user.   I'm just learning the WCF entity framework (and .net in general), and I'm running into a problem specifying lock hints in an embedded SQL query. I'm trying to specify a query that has lock hints in it (e.g., "SELECT * FROM xyz WITH(XLOCK, ROWLOCK)") and I keep getting errors from the runtime that the query syntax is not valid. The query works if I enter it directly into SQL Server. Is there some special syntax for lock hints when creating IQueryable result sets, or do I have to somehow mess with the transaction isolation level (probably not possible, as I need to specify different lock hints on a subquery within the main query).

• Objective-C and Cocoa : crash when calling a class function without entering the function

  Hello, I have a class function (declared and implemented) in a class MyUtils : + (NSString*) theFunction:(NSString*)param1 param2:(NSString*)param2 param3:(NSString*)param3; When I call this function, with : NSString *item = [MyUtils theFunction:@"abc" param2:aPreviousNSString param3:@"xyz"; my app crashes. In the debugger I have a breakpoint on the first action of the "theFunction" function. And this breakpoint is never reached. If I replace the call by NSString *item = @"youyou"; then everything is ok. Forcing a retain on aPreviousNSString before the call does not change anything. Do you have an idea of what is happening ?   In OpenGL, you can actually draw text with an XYZ position, and it will appear at that location, but in a fixed size. If anyone's played MechWarrior 2, they used it there for nav points. The text had a 3d position, but it always appeared a fixed size. The nav point was actually a bit of text at that exact point in space. Other than that the ability to place 3d text was pretty much useless.. you'd always want text to be 2d, righT? I'm finally in a position where I want this feature. I have these points in space that I need to assign text information to, i.e. I need to draw text at a fixed size but with a 3d position. Can this be done from DirectX?

I need it to facilitate a dynamic getMethod call Class parameterType = Class.forName(class_name); object.setProperty(field name, field value, parameterType); the set property method would then get the correct method and set the specified property, however I cant get a method which has int as parameter type without using Interger.TYPE

• Transitioning from C++ to C#

  I am very experienced in C and C++ but am having problems finding current opportunities. I decided to switch to C# but noticed that while the syntax is very similar, the programming styles are very different (we don't have IEnumerable etc in C). So the problem I am having now is having 20 years of experience but is only a junior when it comes to interviewing for a C# job. Most of the problems are me not being able to answer questions like 1) How do you do XYZ in Sql Server? 2) What's the use of in Spring.NET In other words, the phone interviewers don;t care if you know DB programming or not - they want to know if you know SQL Server. I am frustrated because the guys who are doing the interviews seem to be so narrow sighted in knowing ONLY C#, .NET and SQL Server, that I don't know how to get past them.

  I am building music app, where user can do several tasks including but not limited to listening song, like song, recommend song to a friend and extra. currently I have this model: class Activity(models.Model): activity = models.TextField() user = models.ForeignKey(User) date = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) so far I thought about two solutions. 1. saving a string to database. e.g "you listened song xyz" 2. create a dictionary about the activity and save to the database using pickle or json. e.g. dict_ = {"activity_type":"listening", "song":song_obj} I am leaning to the second implementation, but not quite sure. so what do you think about those two methods? do you know better way to achieve the goal?

  Hi, I'm looking to create an extension for the leading browsers (firefox, safari and ie). Its rather simple, and I'm looking for the most efficient way to go about this. I need to get the hostname of the current site the user is on, and if it matches a certain parameter(eg, mysite.org), I'll need to append to the link some extra data and refresh to the new link. What is the simplest way to go about this? (I don't want to go in the direction of a bookmarklet - since this would require the user to click.   I am writing a script that executes and write everything to the file here is example, I stored the complete command in the variable 'Command' , Command = "ftp ftp.xyz.com 21 " & vbCRLF and then executing it in command prompt, shell.Run "%comspec% /c FTP " & Command & " > " & E:/abc.txt, 0, TRUE but when this program execute it won't write anything to the text file because this is an incomplete command, this command on execution prompt user to input username and password of FTP, how can i do this , that my programm automatically input username and password when prompt and then write everything to file ?
