• PHP Regex Question

  Hi, I am developing an application using PHP but I am new to regular expressions, I could not find a solution to my problem. I want to replace all occurences of #word with a link, i have written a preg_match for this: $text=preg_replace('~#([\p{L}|\p{N}]+)~u', '<a href="/?aranan=$1">#$1</a>', $text); The problem is, this regular expression also matches the html character codes like &#039; and gives corrupt output. I need to exclude the words starting with &# but i do not know how to do that using regular expressions. Thanks for your help.

Also, "mods" doesn't describe the win-key, only Ctrl, Shift and Alt. Having such limited access to keyboard input is a serious impediment for real application development. Am I doing anything wrong here or is just freeglut just crippled? Is GLUT crippled in general?

• Memory leak till crash due to HttpRequest

  I played with HttpRequest and realized that the memory is not cleaned up after any request. After some time the running tab within Chrome will crash. Here is some testing code. • UTF8 issues on Linux

  Hi, I have some code that fetches some data from the database, database codepage is UTF8. When I run the code on a linux box, some characters come out as question marks (?) but when I run the same code on a windows server, all characters appear correctly. When I do: $ $LANG Following is returned en_SG.UTF-8 en_SG is something that doesn't look correct, it should be en_US but the latter part of the returned string is UTF-8 which is good. Is there anything else that I can look into to fix the character corruption problem?

• How can I add a .jar to my build path in Eclipse?

  I try to do it the following way: Right click on the name of the project. Click on Build Path in the drop dawn menu. Click on "Configure Build Path" And then I do not know what to do. Should I select "Source", "Projects", "Libraries", "Order and Export"? In "Libraries" I have "Add JARs..." and "Add External JARs...". What should I select? (I have already a .jar file in the lib folder of my project.) ADDED: If I click on "Add JARs" in the "Libraries" tab, I see the "lib" sub-folder but if I go there I do not see my .jar file there (and I know that it is there).

• Find all html characters in drop-down option text and replace them via jQuery

  I have a dropdown menu that pulls in text from a database column. The database column can include HTML mark-up. In the drop-down I obviously don't need that in the text. I am working on some jquery and it partially accomplished what I'm looking for. • jQuery Dialog theme not being applied

  I'm using jquery-1.4.2.min.js and jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js. According to Firebug, both minimized scripts have been loaded. They both appear in the dropdown list on Firebug's Scripts tab. The dialog is launching, but there's no background and so the text below it shows through, and there's no "window" stuff at all, no titlebar, no X button. Just the floating/draggable text with a -close- link at the top left corner. I was under the impression from reading these pages http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/ that the UI theme-driven appearance would be automatically applied to the dialog when it was invoked using this barebones call: $('#dialog').dialog() I would be grateful for suggestions on how to troubleshoot this. • VB.net Need Text Box to Only Accept Numbers

  I'm fairly new to VB.net (self taught) and was just wondering if someone out there could help me out with some code. I'm not trying to do anything to invovled, just have a textbox that takes numeric value from 1 to 10. I don't want it to take a string or any number above 10. If some types a word or character an error message will appear, telling them to enter a valid number. This is what I have, obviously it's not great as I am having problems. • Android: how can i tell if the soft keyboard is showing or not?

  Heres the dilemma: I am showing a screen with 3 input fields and 2 buttons inside of a tab(there are 3 tabs total, and they are on the bottom of the screen). the 2 buttons are set to the bottom left and right of the screen, right above the tabs. when i click on an input field, the tabs and buttons are all pushed up on top of the keyboard. i desire to only push the buttons up, and leave the tabs where they originally are, on the bottom. i am thinking of setting the visibility of the tabs to GONE once i determine that the soft keyboard is showing, and visibility to VISIBLE once the soft keyboard is gone. is there some kind of listener for the soft keyboard, or maybe the input field? maybe some tricky use of OnFocusChangeListener for the edit text? How can i determine whether the keyboard is visible or not?

• Debug error in NetBeans

  I am running a C program in NetBeans (cygwin on windows). Generally for all C programs I have run in the past, while debugging, it stops and shows the line number of segmentation fault. But for this particular program, it does not show the line number and just stops and in the output tab, it shows prog stopped by SIGSEGV. I have tried conditional breakpoint, but it is not stopping. What could be the other conditions for error? • SSIS web service task producing "object reference" error

  Our care management system uses a web service to import data. I've successfully executed one of its methods using soapUI, and now I want to replicate this with an SSIS 2008 web service task, but I'm running into a problem. I've created the "HTTP Connection Manager" successfully, and specified the location of the "WSDLFile", but when I go to the Input tab and select the Service from the dropdown (there is only one), I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, and and the Method dropdown is empty. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

• Splitting a string with variable number of spaces VBA

  I have a file with a bunch of number in columns. These numbers are separated by variable number of spaces. I want to skip the first line and get all the other lines and separte each number on the line. Finally, I want to write each number on Excel. I've been able to get the lines and write them on Excel but I can't separate each number (I'm getting the whole line as one string). Does any body know how to split a string that has a variable number of spaces? Here is my code. • UTC-8 conversion

  Hey guys, I am grabbing a JSON array and storing it in a NSArray, however it includes JSON encoded UTF-8 strings, for example pass\u00e9 represents passé. I need a way of converting all of these different types of strings into the actual character. I have an entire NSArray to convert. Or I can convert it when it is being displayed, which ever is easiest. I found this chart http://tntluoma.com/sidebars/codes/ is there a convenience method for this or a library I can download? thanks, BTW, there is no way I can find to change the server so I can only fix it on my end...

• Submit jQuery UI dialog on <Enter>

  I have a jQuery UI dialog box with a form. I would like to simulate a click on one of the dialog's buttons so you don't have to use the mouse or tab over to it. In other words, I want it to act like a regular GUI dialog box where simulates hitting the "OK" button. I assume this might be a simple option with the dialog, but I can't find it in the jQuery UI documentation. I could bind each form input with keyup() but didn't know if there was a simpler/cleaner way. Thanks.

  Hi, I was wondering, if I have text fields displayed so, could I alter the order in which the focus using javascript (preferably jQuery). See this example here. What I mean that when you tab around them, instead on going "one, two, three, four, five" force them to go: "one, two, four, three, five". Thanks in advance!! • Sliding "pull-down" navigation - what do I use? How do I implement? jQuery?

  I'm new to Javascript and jQuery, but I'm learning. Here is what I'd like to accomplish: I have a row of navigation "pull-down" tabs that I'd like to animate. Some sliders will have text links to sub-pages and some will not. The bottom portion of the tab should be clickable to go to the main page. Then the sub-page, text links should also be clickable. • How to find validity of a string of parentheses, curly brackets and square brackets?

  I recently came in contact with this interesting problem. You are given a string containing just the characters '(', ')', '{', '}', '[' and ']', for example, "[{()}]", you need to write a function which will check validity of such an input string, function may be like this: bool isValid(char* s); these brackets have to close in the correct order, for example "()" and "()[]{}" are all valid but "(]", "([)]" and "{{{{" are not! I came out with following O(n) time and O(n) space complexity solution, which works fine: Maintain a stack of characters. Whenever you find opening braces '(', '{' OR '[' push it on the stack. Whenever you find closing braces ')', '}' OR ']' , check if top of stack is corresponding opening bracket, if yes, then pop the stack, else break the loop and return false. Repeat steps 2 - 3 until end of the string. This works, but can we optimize it for space, may be constant extra space, I understand that time complexity cannot be less than O(n) as we have to look at every character. So my question is can we solve this problem in O(1) space?

  I would like to do this: tell application "Finder" to set appName to (application file id "com.google.Chrome") as text using terms from application appName tell application appName to get URL of active tab of first window end using terms from This doesn't work because "using terms from" requires an application name as a string constant. If i substitute this line: using terms from application appName with this one using terms from application "Google Chrome" it works. However I don't want to rely on the target machine having the application named "Google Chrome". Using the bundle identifiers seems safer. Is there a better way to do this?

How to print absolute line numbers in such error messages? EDIT: Maybe it's a dumb question, but answer will facilitate development a little. I'm printing text in several files. When done, press shortcut which runs python and copies contents of current file to console. Proposed solution forces to press excess keystrokes (Ctrl+S, Alt+Tab) and create additional files. I hope I have put it clear.

• Using jQuery to auto-populate a form field from another form field

  Has anyone used jquery to take data from one form field and put it into another? I'm trying to create a form that when one text input is filled out a second is auto-populated with the first letter of the word that is in the first text input. I'm thinking I can limit the second text input to one character to help get the desired result, but I'm not having luck getting jquery to get the second text input and auto-populate once the first is entered. • Change column names of a cube action as they appear in Visual Studio

  the title pretty much says it all. I have a cube with data in it and I have yet to find a way to change the column names. They appear in a very ugly manner like [cubeName].[$dimension.columnName]. I have tried everything I know and anything I found on the web but nothing seems to be working. What I tried to do in most cases is create an Action in the Actions tab and write some MDX query language in there. No results whatsoever. As if the action is never run. Does anyone know how to do this? I've spent about 3 days trying to figure this out. Thank you.

  I'm using Visual Studio 2008 C++ and working on a dll project. Debug compiled and linked perfectly but when I compile the release version, it shows this: VImgPtr.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol @__security_check_cookie@4 VLibraryPtr.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl operator delete[](void *)" (??_V@YAXPAX@Z) D:\Source Code\VImgLib\Release-vc9u\VImgLib-vc9u.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 2 unresolved externals If I selected Multi-threaded (/MT) in "C/C++-Code Generation tab), it linked ok. The problem is only when I choose Multi-threaded DLL (/MD). I'm releasing a dll, so should be /MD right?

• Sql server management studio reporting "The semaphore timeout period has expired."

  On our development sql server, executing any query containing more than approximately 700 characters stalls for about 10 seconds and then reports the following error: Msg 121, Level 20, State 0, Line 0 A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.) for example, this query select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 700 spaces ..) ' fails fails with the timeout error while this one select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 600 spaces ..) ' fails with the expected Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier. - immediately. Indeed, throwing any query, including random garbage at our dev sql server exhibits this behaviour, while any other sql server I have available acts as expected, so I would think that the query never actually gets to parsing on the server. I'm at a loss here - any hints?
