  • query in query builder in a Table Adapter

    - by Sony
    I am working with the datasets of .net I have an Oracle Query which is working fine . but I copy the query as sql statement within Table Adapter wizard and after I clicked the Query Builder button ,there is SQL syntax error. The query is below: SELECT lead_id, NAME, ADDRESS, CITY, EMAIL, PHONE, PINCODE, STATE, QUALIFICATION, DOB, status FROM (SELECT l.lead_id, l.NAME, l.ADDRESS, l.CITY, l.EMAIL, l.PHONE, l.PINCODE, l.STATE, l.QUALIFICATION, l.DOB, CASE WHEN s.status IS NULL THEN 'Not Updated !' ELSE s.status END status, row_number() over(PARTITION BY l.lead_id ORDER BY t .CREATED_DATE DESC) rn FROM LEADS l JOIN Leads lc ON l.USER_ID = lc.USER_ID AND l.USER_ID = :iuser_id AND(l.CREATED_DATE BETWEEN (TO_DATE(:ifrom_date , 'dd-mm-yyyy') ) AND (TO_DATE (:ito_date, 'dd-mm-yyyy' ) )) LEFT JOIN LEADTRANSACTION t ON l.lead_id = t .lead_id LEFT JOIN STATUS s ON s.STATUS_ID = t .STATUS_ID) WHERE rn = 1;

  • PHP PDO - bindValue PARAM_BOOL as string

    - by PHP_guy
    I'm freaking out here and can't figure out what's wrong. I'm pretty new to PDO, but everything works in my code except for booleans which are sent as strings. My code (simplified): $sql = 'SELECT * FROM pages WHERE clean_url_slo = :clean_url_slo AND published = :published LIMIT 1'; $clean_url_slo = 'home'; $published = true; Then I prepare stuff and execute it like this (simplified): $stmt = $db->prepare($sql); $stmt->bindValue(':clean_url_slo',$clean_url_slo,PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindValue(':published',$published,PDO::PARAM_BOOL); $stmt->execute(); And then here is what comes to mysql (from the mysql log - the query mysql received): 91 Query SELECT * FROM pages WHERE 1=1 AND clean_url_slo='domov' AND published='1' ORDER BY id desc LIMIT 1 As you can see, published is an integer - so always true, which is not OK. Why is that if I'm declaring it as a boolean? using: WAMP SERVER PHP version: 5.3.9 Mysql: 5.5.20 Many thanks for your help..

  • How to get a list of users for all instance's databases

    - by stee1rat
    I guess the procedure should be something like this: declare @db varchar(100) declare @user varchar(100) declare c cursor for select name from sys.sysdatabases open c fetch next from c into @db while @@fetch_status = 0 begin print @db exec ('use ' + @db) declare u cursor for select name from sys.sysusers where issqlrole <> 1 and hasdbaccess <> 0 and isntname <> 1 open u fetch next from u into @user while @@fetch_status = 0 begin print @user fetch next from u into @user end print '--------------------------------------------------' close u deallocate u fetch next from c into @db end close c deallocate c But the problem is that exec ('use ' + @db) doesn't work. And i always get user list of currently chosen database. How should i fix that? P.S.: I want this code to work on both 2000 and 2005 sql servers.

    In PHP I am able to retrieve information from a db like so: <?php $sql = "SELECT * FROM users"; $result = mysql_query($sql); $data = array(); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $data[] = $row; } I am trying to acomplish the same thing in C#: OdbcCommand cmd = new OdbcCommand("SELECT * FROM users WHERE id = @id"); cmd.Parameters.Add("@id", id); OdbcDataReader reader = cmd.ExecuteReader(); Dictionary<string, string> data = new Dictionary<string, string>(); while (reader.Read()) { data.Add("id", reader.GetString(0)); data.Add("username", reader.GetString(1)); data.Add("firstName", reader.GetString(2)); } return data; Is it possible to reference the column in the table by name without going through all this trouble?

  • Getting Popular Topics on a Custom Made Forum

    - by Navarr
    For this website we're working on, we're trying to get the most popular topics (based on how many posts have been made in them within the last 24 hours). We have a medium to large based forum, and the current MySQL query looks like this: SELECT `forums_topics`.*, ( SELECT COUNT(`id`) FROM `forums_posts` WHERE `postdate` > (UNIX_TIMESTAMP()-60*60*24) AND `topicid`=`forums_topics`.`id` ) AS `trendy_threads` FROM `forums_topics` WHERE `deleted`=0 ORDER BY `trendy_threads` DESC,`postdate` DESC LIMIT 3 This unfortunately causes an SQL timeout with just one query and Error 500's. How can we get this information as quickly and as efficiently as possible?

  • Javascript: Remove checked status from disabled input on load (already checked)

    - by BoDiE2003
    On load, the script is not un-checking the disabled checkboxes, I have tried everything. I have even tried running this code from Chrome Console, and it is working, but not in normal ways. Where is the error?Javascript: document.observe("dom:loaded", function() { $(document.body).select('input').each(function(element) { init(); element.observe('click', function(element) { init(); }); }); loopGroup1(); loopGroup3(); loopGroup4(); }); function init() { $(document.body).select('input').each(function(element) { if (!element.checked) { element.up().removeClassName('yes'); } else { element.up().addClassName('yes'); } if (element.disabled && element.checked) { element.checked = !element.checked; element.up().removeClassName('yes'); } }); }

  • Help Optimizing MySQL Table (~ 500,000 records).

    - by Pyrite
    I have a MySQL table that collects player data from various game servers (Urban Terror). The bot that collects the data runs 24/7, and currently the table is up to about 475,000+ records. Because of this, querying this table from PHP has become quite slow. I wonder what I can do on the database side of things to make it as optomized as possible, then I can focus on the application to query the database. The table is as follows: CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `people` ( `id` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `name` varchar(40) NOT NULL, `ip` int(4) unsigned NOT NULL, `guid` varchar(32) NOT NULL, `server` int(4) unsigned NOT NULL, `date` int(11) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`), UNIQUE KEY `Person` (`name`,`ip`,`guid`), KEY `server` (`server`), KEY `date` (`date`), KEY `PlayerName` (`name`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 COMMENT='People that Play on Servers' AUTO_INCREMENT=475843 ; I'm storying the IPv4 (ip and server) as 4 byte integers, and using the MySQL functions NTOA(), etc to encode and decode, I heard that this way is faster, rather than varchar(15). The guid is a md5sum, 32 char hex. Date is stored as unix timestamp. I have a unique key on name, ip and guid, as to avoid duplicates of the same player. Do I have my keys setup right? Is the way I'm storing data efficient? Here is the code to query this table. You search for a name, ip, or guid, and it grabs the results of the query and cross references other records that match the name, ip, or guid from the results of the first query, and does it for each field. This is kind of hard to explain. But basically, if I search for one player by name, I'll see every other name he has used, every IP he has used and every GUID he has used. <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post"> Search: <input type="text" name="query" id="query" /><input type="submit" name="btnSubmit" value="Submit" /> </form> <?php if (!empty($_POST['query'])) { ?> <table cellspacing="1" id="1up_people" class="tablesorter" width="300"> <thead> <tr> <th>ID</th> <th>Player Name</th> <th>Player IP</th> <th>Player GUID</th> <th>Server</th> <th>Date</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <?php function super_unique($array) { $result = array_map("unserialize", array_unique(array_map("serialize", $array))); foreach ($result as $key => $value) { if ( is_array($value) ) { $result[$key] = super_unique($value); } } return $result; } if (!empty($_POST['query'])) { $query = trim($_POST['query']); $count = 0; $people = array(); $link = mysql_connect('localhost', 'mysqluser', 'yea right!'); if (!$link) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("1up"); $sql = "SELECT id, name, INET_NTOA(ip) AS ip, guid, INET_NTOA(server) AS server, date FROM 1up_people WHERE (name LIKE \"%$query%\" OR INET_NTOA(ip) LIKE \"%$query%\" OR guid LIKE \"%$query%\")"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $link); if (!$result) { die(mysql_error()); } // Now take the initial results and parse each column into its own array while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_NUM)) { $name = htmlspecialchars($row[1]); $people[] = array( 'id' => $row[0], 'name' => $name, 'ip' => $row[2], 'guid' => $row[3], 'server' => $row[4], 'date' => $row[5] ); } // now for each name, ip, guid in results, find additonal records $people2 = array(); foreach ($people AS $person) { $ip = $person['ip']; $sql = "SELECT id, name, INET_NTOA(ip) AS ip, guid, INET_NTOA(server) AS server, date FROM 1up_people WHERE (ip = \"$ip\")"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $link); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_NUM)) { $name = htmlspecialchars($row[1]); $people2[] = array( 'id' => $row[0], 'name' => $name, 'ip' => $row[2], 'guid' => $row[3], 'server' => $row[4], 'date' => $row[5] ); } } $people3 = array(); foreach ($people AS $person) { $guid = $person['guid']; $sql = "SELECT id, name, INET_NTOA(ip) AS ip, guid, INET_NTOA(server) AS server, date FROM 1up_people WHERE (guid = \"$guid\")"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $link); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_NUM)) { $name = htmlspecialchars($row[1]); $people3[] = array( 'id' => $row[0], 'name' => $name, 'ip' => $row[2], 'guid' => $row[3], 'server' => $row[4], 'date' => $row[5] ); } } $people4 = array(); foreach ($people AS $person) { $name = $person['name']; $sql = "SELECT id, name, INET_NTOA(ip) AS ip, guid, INET_NTOA(server) AS server, date FROM 1up_people WHERE (name = \"$name\")"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $link); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_NUM)) { $name = htmlspecialchars($row[1]); $people4[] = array( 'id' => $row[0], 'name' => $name, 'ip' => $row[2], 'guid' => $row[3], 'server' => $row[4], 'date' => $row[5] ); } } // Combine people and people2 into just people $people = array_merge($people, $people2); $people = array_merge($people, $people3); $people = array_merge($people, $people4); $people = super_unique($people); foreach ($people AS $person) { $date = ($person['date']) ? date("M d, Y", $person['date']) : 'Before 8/1/10'; echo "<tr>\n"; echo "<td>".$person['id']."</td>"; echo "<td>".$person['name']."</td>"; echo "<td>".$person['ip']."</td>"; echo "<td>".$person['guid']."</td>"; echo "<td>".$person['server']."</td>"; echo "<td>".$date."</td>"; echo "</tr>\n"; $count++; } // Find Total Records //$result = mysql_query("SELECT id FROM 1up_people", $link); //$total = mysql_num_rows($result); mysql_close($link); } ?> </tbody> </table> <p> <?php echo $count."   • mysql PHP query question

    - by camran
    Ok, i have a problem here... I am sending values of drop down lists via ajax to this PHP file. Now I want to search a mysql database using these values, which I have managed to do, BUT, only if I set the values to something... Take a look: $query = "SELECT * FROM cars_db WHERE price BETWEEN '$cars_price_from' AND '$cars_price_to' AND year BETWEEN '$cars_year_from' AND '$cars_year_to' AND mileage BETWEEN '$cars_mileage_from' AND '$cars_mileage_to' AND gearbox = '$cars_gearbox' AND fuel = '$cars_fuel'"; now, what if the user doesnt select any "price_from" or "year_from"... The fields are only optional, so if the user doesnt enter any "price from" or "year from", then the user wants ALL cars to show... Do I have to write a query statement for each case or is there another way?

  • Voting Script, Possiblity of Simplifying Database Queries

    - by Sev
    I have a voting script which stores the post_id and the user_id in a table, to determine whether a particular user has already voted on a post and disallow them in the future. To do that, I am doing the following 3 queries. SELECT user_id, post_id from votes_table where postid=? AND user_id=? If that returns no rows, then: UPDATE post_table set votecount = votecount-1 where post_id = ? Then SELECT votecount from post where post_id=? To display the new votecount on the web page Any better way to do this? 3 queries are seriously slowing down the user's voting experience

  • Rails botches the SQL on a complex save

    - by Dan B
    Hi, I am doing something seemingly pretty easy, but Rails is messing up the SQL. I could just execute my own SQL, but the framework should be able to handle this. Here is the save I am trying to perform: w = WhipSenVote.find(:first, :conditions => ["whip_bill_id = ? AND whip_sen_id = ?", bill_id, k]) w.votes_no = w.votes_no - 1 w.save My generated SQL looks like this: SELECT * FROM "whip_sen_votes" WHERE (whip_bill_id = E'1' AND whip_sen_id = 7) LIMIT 1 And then: UPDATE "whip_sen_votes" SET "votes_yes" = 14, "updated_at" = '2009-11-13 19:55:54.807000' WHERE "id" = 15 The first select statement is correct, but as you can see, the Update SQL statement is pretty wrong, though the votes_yes value is correct. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • MySQL Multiple "AND" Query

    - by Mark J
    I have a table with 2 columns (see below). A member can have multiple responses to a question RESPONSES --------- member_id INT response_id INT SAMPLE DATA member_id -- response_id 1 -- 3 1 -- 5 2 -- 1 2 -- 5 2 -- 9 3 -- 1 3 -- 5 3 -- 6 What I need to do is query the table for member that meet ALL response criteria. For example I need to select all members that have a response_id of 1 AND 5. I am using the following query: SELECT DISTINCT member_id FROM responses WHERE response_id = 1 AND response_id = 5. I would expect to get back member_id's 2,3. However I am getting nothing returned. I used EXPLAIN and it shows there is an error in my where query. What am I doing wrong? Also, is there a function similar to IN where all the criteria must be met in order to return true? Thanks for your help.

  • [SQL] Getting the sum of several columns from two tables

    - by romaintaz
    I want to get the sum of several columns from 2 different tables (these tables share the same structure). If I only consider one table, I would write this kind of query: SELECT MONTH_REF, SUM(amount1), SUM(amount2) FROM T_FOO WHERE seller = XXX GROUP BY MONTH_REF; However, I would like to also work with the data from the table T_BAR, and then have a select query that return the following columns: MONTH_REF SUM(T_FOO.amount1) + SUM(T_BAR.amount1) SUM(T_FOO.amount2) + SUM(T_BAR.amount2) everything grouped by the value of MONTH_REF. Note that a record for a given MONTH_REF can be found in one table but not in the other table. In this case, I would like to get the sum of T_FOO.amount1 + 0 (or 0 + T_BAR.amount1). How can I write my SQL query to get this information? For information, my database is Oracle 10g.

  • How to pass a variable inside a jquery fonction $.each($("abc")...?

    - by Rock
    I'm trying to iterate a bunch of SELECT OPTION html drop-down fields and from the ones that are NOT empty, take the values and add a hidden field for a PAYPAL shopping cart. My problem is that for some reason, the variable "curitem" is not passed inside the each function and I can't add the hidden field like they should. All I get is "NaN" or "undefined". What PAYPAL expect is : item_name_1, item_name_2, etc. All numbers must iterate by +1. How can I do this? Thanks a bunch in advance var curitem; $.each($("select"), function(index, item) { var attname = $(this).attr("name"); var nom = $(this).attr("data-nom"); var prix = $(this).attr("data-val"); var partname = attname.substring(0, 1); var qte = $(this).val(); // i want all my <select option> items that the NAME start with "q" AND have a value selected if (partname == "q" && isNaN(qte) == false && qte > 0) { // item name var inp2 = document.createElement("input"); inp2.setAttribute("type", "hidden"); inp2.setAttribute("id", "item_name_"+curitem); inp2.setAttribute("name", "item_name_"+curitem); inp2.setAttribute("value", nom); // amount var inp3 = document.createElement("input"); inp3.setAttribute("type", "hidden"); inp3.setAttribute("id", "amount_"+curitem); inp3.setAttribute("name", "amount_"+curitem); inp3.setAttribute("value", prix); // qty var inp4 = document.createElement("input"); inp4.setAttribute("type", "hidden"); inp4.setAttribute("id", "quantity_"+curitem); inp4.setAttribute("name", "quantity_"+curitem); inp4.setAttribute("value", qte); // add hidden fields to form document.getElementById('payPalForm').appendChild(inp2); document.getElementById('payPalForm').appendChild(inp3); document.getElementById('payPalForm').appendChild(inp4); // item number curitem = curitem + 1; } });

  • Vi/Vim: How to pipe visually selected text to a UNIX command and append output to current file

    - by drsnyder
    Using Vim, I'm trying to pipe visually selected text to a UNIX command and have the output appended to the end of the current file. For example, say we have a SQL command such as: SELECT * FROM mytable; I want to do something like the following: V # select text :'<,'!mysql -uuser -ppass mydb But instead of having the output overwrite the currently selected text, I would like to have the output appended to the end of the file. You probably see where this is going. I'm working on using VIM as a simple SQL editor. That way, I don't have to leave VIM to edit, tweak, test SQL code. Thanks!

With my SQL query I would like to count the total number of cash transactions, the total cash value and the same for checks. I only want to do this for a specified date. Here is a snippet of the query that I am having trouble with. These sum and count commands are processing all the data in the table and not for the selected date. (SELECT SUM(amount) FROM TRANSACTION WHERE payment_type.name = 'cash') AS total_cash, (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TRANSACTION WHERE payment_type.name = 'cash') AS total_cash_transactions Sorry if I havent posted enough detail as I haven't time. If you need more info just ask.. Cheers.

  • Rails model to represent multiple fields

    - by Tristan O'Neil
    I'm developing a rails project where I have one data model with multiple fields that are collection selects. I'd like to create another model to represent all of these collection select fields. So, for instance, my main data model has three collection select fields -- one for county, one for category, and one for classification. I could separate these into three separate data models, but that seems redundant since they all share the same characteristics. They have a type and a value, like a county is a county and it has a value of let's say Sonoma, just as category has a type of category and a value of let's say Winery. If you've ever used Drupal, I'm basically looking for the behavior of the taxonomy functionality. So you see my dilemma: I need to separate these fields into three separate fields but they have very similar data structures. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
