Asterisk - Trying to use call files to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers

I'm trying to setup an Asterisk system that will allow me to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers. It seems I can use 'call files' to make Asterisk initiate the call without needing an incoming call - http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+auto-dial+out This example seems to be what I'd need: Channel: SIP/mytrunk/12345678 MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 60 WaitTime: 30 Context: callme Extension: 800 Priority: 2 I can generate this file with some scripting language and then place it into the Asterisk Call File folder. The problem I'm having is: How do I call out to two numbers and join them in a conference call? The MeetMe plugin/extension seems to be what I need in terms of conference calling, I'm just unsure as to how I'd use the two together and join them. Also, is it possible to have multiple 2-person conference calls at the same time? Is setting this up as simple as setting aside X amount of 'channels' in the meetme.conf?

Can't Remove Logical Drive/Array from HP P400

This is my first post here. Thank you in advance for any assistance with this matter. I'm trying to remove a logical drive (logical drive 2) and an array (array "B") from my Smart Array P400. The host is a DL580 G5 running 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 (Tikanga). I am unable to remove the array using either hpacucli or cpqacuxe. I believe it is because of "OS Status: LOCKED". The file system that lives on this array has been unmounted. I do not want to reboot the host. Is there some way to "release" this logical drive so I can remove the array? Note that I do not need to preserve the data on logical drive 2. I intend to physically remove the drives from the machine and replace them with larger drives. I'm using the cciss kernel module that ships with Red Hat 5.7. Eee PC - Create USB Recovery Drive w/ Files Copied From Recovery Partition

I have an Eee PC 1005HAB whose hard disk has failed. I have no recovery CD/DVD, but I did previously back up the contents of the recovery partition, and would like to use them to create a bootable USB to reinstall the factory settings on the new hard drive. Since I simply copied all the files in the recovery partition, rather than hitting F9 during boot and running through the process to create a recovery disk or drive, how do I now use the files to create a bootable USB drive that will do the recovery? In the BIOS I have disabled boot booster and set external drives to the top of the boot priority, but simply copying all the recovery partion files to a usb doesn't allow it to be booted from. I've downloaded the HP utility for creating bootable USB drives and have tried using it to make the USB drive bootable, but I'm not sure what to do with the ghost image and utilities from the recovery partition to get the process to start properly. Postfix virtual_alias stealing emails from virutal_mailbox

I am trying to setup a "catchall" address. When I try to add a virtual alias for the catchall: select * from virtual_aliases; id | domain_id | source | destination ----+-----------+-------------------+--------------------------- 1 | 1 | @domain.com | [email protected] Once I add that virtual_alias, all email is going to catchall and I can send any to [email protected]. Is there something I need to do to shift around the priority? Need help creating advanced context menu command in Windows 7 (x64)

I found out about ForceBindIP and I really love it, so much that I am using it regularly enough to where spamming the same command prompt over and over again is getting painful. Here's ForceBindIP and what it does: http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/forcebindip/ I'm on a 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium. What I want to do is add a right-click context menu item so that when I browse items in Windows Explorer, or on my desktop, I can automate a ForceBindIP command (through the prompt). I am permanently connected to two networks: one over ethernet, and one over wireless. My ethernet network takes priority. What I want to do is add a "Run through wireless network" context menu item, that will send the item through this command: ForceBindIP {5F657824-9E3B-46E5-C21E-F52585R6457E} "[path to right-clicked file here]" It will need to run that command in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. I've no experience at all playing with the Windows registry or writing batch files, anything of that sort. I was wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to assist me?

Fastest light-weight image viewer over forwarded x11 session (linux)

I have a slow network connection over which I'm forwarding x11 over ssh. I want to view images on the remote host (Ubuntu) quickly and efficiently. I'm looking for an image viewer that will take into account the image viewer window's resolution and downsize the image before sending it over the network, instead of sending the full size image. The images I want to view will be around 5MB and I only need to be able to browse through tiny thumbnails of the images to identify the image I'm looking for. It is not necessary to be able to see more than one image at a time. Highest speed over slow network connection is the priority. Thanks! Matthew EDIT: It's possible that the way x11 forwarding works, only the image at the display resolution will be transferred anyway. If that's true, please confirm and the question still stands for which image viewer will be the fastest over a slow connection

Trying to make DNS changes to enable email to be sent using hMailServer. My mail server is on a separate machine with a separate IP Address. I have already added MyDomain.com and an email account I have create a MX Record with the mail server being mail.domain.com an a priority on 20. 1) But the question is how do I now link this MX record for the domain to my mail server/ mail server IP Address? 2) What changes are needed in hMailServer to complete the process and be able to send emails for the domain? 3) In Settings SMTP Delivery of email: What should my configuration here look like?

Can't enable apache mod on emerge

I want to add mod_proxy and mod_proxy_http to Apache server on my Gentoo, but apparently some file with high priority on the system is disabling the mods and preventing me to install. I am currently editing /usr/portage/profiles/base/make.defaults file, but it gets updated (and changes lost) every time I update the system. I have to edit it every time I update the system/reinstall Apache. Besides that, I have already added dependencies to the /etc/portage/package.use file: www-servers/apache proxy proxy_http What other files do I have do change or should check flags so I can enable proxy and do not have to edit files again every time?

I don't want the users to download files with bittorrent (mainly used) and other p2p apps. I've also found some solutions about lowering p2p traffic priority using QoS. Loadbalance UDP traffic with session affinity and way to take servers in & out of rotation

What is the best way to go about load balancing UDP traffic among a whole bunch of servers, while keeping session affinity based on the users' IP? I need to also be able to take servers in and out of rotation for new clients, so when they join for the first time, they get put on a server in a list of available servers, and clients already connected would stay connected to their specific server. I have written the software to maintain a list, but I can't seem to find anything that would perform this functionality. If you need the context, this is to facilitate game tournaments for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, which is done with UDP traffic, I cannot change the protocol. And, because tournaments open and close, I need to be able to place players on their proper servers. Performance is also a priority, I have a program to do this but it is very bloated and slow. Setup asp.net mvc application as subdomain website

I'm trying to setup a local application on a subdomain on our company server. There is already an installation of sharepoint running on http://companyweb/, but I would like my application to run on http://orders.companyweb/. I tried creating a new website, leaving the IP address the same as it is for http://companyweb, and just changing the host header value to orders.companyweb. However, no matter where I try to access the site from (different computers around the network, including the server itself), I keep getting 404 errors. I then tried setting up a simple index.html and serving that up as the highest priority; however, I still got 404 errors. This makes me think that I have actually setup the site itself wrong. What should I change to be able to access this application correctly on all the local computers?

Linux: multiple network connections - 3G/4G / Wifi / LAN / etc; how can i set a preferred network connection to use?

I've been looking at how I can setup a laptop that has multiple network interfaces, but a problem exists if all the connections are active, i.e. 3G, WiFi and LAN are all connected, I would like it to default to LAN. I would like to set "weights" or "priority" to each connection, so that if the LAN is unplugged, it'll default to WiFi - if its in range and working, otherwise, it'll switch and use the 3G dongle; I've been looking around and I can see that the "metric" counter for route isn't being used for recent kernels. I thought that would be able to set the preferred gateway / connections - but according to the man page: man route: OUTPUT Metric The 'distance' to the target (usually counted in hops). It is not used by recent kernels, but may be needed by routing daemons. So I'm confused, are there any scripts / apps / anything that can detect active network connections, and by way of configuration, send my default gateway network traffic through that interface if its active / alive?

Fullscreen Video stutters on second monitor laptop

Fullscreen video on my new 1080p monitor is choppy when it comes from my laptop. The same video plays when not full screen. This goes for all video(Flash/MKV, etc), regardless of video resolution. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series card in my Thinkpad Edge, Turion X2 2GHz. The computer plays 1080p fine. Things I've tried: Updating Drivers Switching cables Turning Hardware Acceleration Changing video players process priority Rebooting Turning of laptop screen Turning off unused processes Nothing Works. What is the likelyhood that my laptop cannot power a 1920x1280 display?

Need help setting up mail DNS records

Hi, We are hosting our web site on host monster, but want our email to continue to be hosted at the old site. Our domain points to the hostmonster DNS servers, but I can't figure out the right configuration for the remote email servers. We have one MX entry, which is priority: 0 domain: ourdomain.com And then we have these DNS entries ... name: mail.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.ip.address name: mail1.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.secondip.address Can someone tell me what I need to add/edit to get mail to correctly route to our old host? What are good replacements for Microsoft Visio 2003?

I have been using Visio 2003 on Windows XP for generation of UML diagrams. I have encountered following problems so far: There is no way to generate/print the documentation written for class attributes/methods. No automatic code generation is supported I have already generated lot of diagrams and i discovered above problems at much later stage. Now i would like to overcome above by choosing another tool which is compatible with Visio file(.vsd) which saves time or redrawing all diagrams and also provides above features. Could you kindly suggest an alternative (visio compatible) tool ? (I have looked at a similar SU-question, but it does not suggest tools which provide solution to above problems. I am open to free as well as licensed tools, with priority to free :) ) Thanks, James

Install php-fpm + php-mysql + MariaDB on Centos from repos

I try to take CentOS 6.4 x64 and install nginx w/ php-fpm on it (and that's easy part, no problem at all), then add php-mysql package and MariaDB as a mysql drop-in replacement. And here I face the hang... I've added epel, nginx and remi repos, add priority=10 line to its .repo files, and now as I install MariaDB-server the dependency also brings me MariaDB's "common" package. Then, as I try to install php-mysql, I see file /usr/share/mysql/french/errmsg.sys from install of MariaDB-server-5.5.27-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package mysql-libs-5.5.28-1.el6.remi.x86_64 warnings. If I deinstall MariaDB server, I'm able to install mysql-libs and php-mysql, but it won't allow me to install MariaDB later. Is there any way to escape that (infinite) loop? I believe the solution is simple but still can't see it. Please help to install php-fpm + php-mysql and MariaDB as DB server!

Tomato QoS: Why is some traffic unclassified when there are classifications for it?

Ok, I am trying to tweak my router to give priority to some traffic. My classifications seem to cover just about everything but I still see ~60 to ~80% of the traffic as unclassified: TCP 192.168.1.100 64137 192.168.1.1 80 Unclassified TCP 192.168.1.100 64175 192.168.1.1 80 Unclassified TCP 192.168.1.100 64144 192.168.1.1 443 Unclassified I assume that the 64### ports are just what my WAP uses to send packets inside my home network. But my classifications seems to cover any traffic for destination ports 80 and 443: (partial list) TCP Dst Port: 80,443 High WWW TCP/UDP Dst Port: 1024-65535 Lowest Bulk Traffic Why do I have so much unclassified traffic if I have a classification that should cover it?

i am thinking to create a To Do list sort of thing for my Project work. it's sort of a To do list type thing, meant for Multiple Users. i mean each user will have his Login and Password , to access into his account or profile and from there he/she can Manage his own To-Do list. it's has to be Kind of like Remember the Milk sort of. Every user will have his own To Do list. i mean now as Different users will have Different To Dos to perform and so different To Dos Lists, if for data fields like in tabular form. Task || Priority || Deadline || Number of days required ||Status. -----||----------||----------||-------------------------||-------------------- -----||----------||----------||-------------------------||-------------------- -----||----------||----------||-------------------------||-------------------- So what i meant to ask , Can this type of thing be done using MySQL as database and and any web based server side language PHP, ASP, JSP. i mean Can this be done through RDBMS like MySQL, for here different member users will have different to do lists than each others to keep and maintain.

php crashes with no core file and this message : apc_mmap failed

Description of the problem Regularly, cron php processes crash on our production server, which result in mails with the following body : PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 Segmentation fault (core dumped) I think the Segmentation fault (core dumped) should result in core files being handled by apport and then written in /var/crashes, but the files I can see there are there since yesterday, although the last crash occured today : -rw-r----- 1 root whoopsie 1138528 mai 22 04:09 _usr_bin_php5.0.crash -rw-r----- 1 frontoffice whoopsie 1166373 mai 20 18:00 _usr_bin_php5.1005.crash -rw-r----- 1 frontoffice whoopsie 81622658 mai 22 00:05 _usr_sbin_php5-fpm.1005.crash I tried to download the last one anyway, and ran gdb /usr/sbin/php5-fpm /tmp/_usr_sbin_php5-fpm.1005.crash, only to be told that the file is not a core file (its format was not recognized). Here is the server's apc configuration : cat /etc/php5/cli/conf.d/20-apc.ini extension=apc.so apc.shm_size=512M apc.ttl=3600 apc.user_ttl=3600 apc.enable_cli=1 I'm mostly worried about the apc.shm_size… isn't it too high or too low ? I understand it has to do with the size of memory segments. Question(s) What could be the problem ? How can I troubleshoot it (how can I get a valid core file ?) ? Multiple External IP Ranges on a Juniper SSG5

I have a Juniper SSG 5 firewall in a datacenter. The first interface (eth0/0) has been assigned a static IP address and has three other addresses configured for VIP Nat. I have a static route configured at the lowest priority for 0.0.0.0/0 to my hosting company's gateway. Now I need to configure a second IP block. I have the IPs assigned to the second interface (eth0/1) which is in the same security zone and virtual router as the first. However, with this interface enabled I (a) can't initiate outbound sessions (browse the internet, ping, DNS lookup, etc) even though I can access servers behind the firewall just fine from the outside and (b) can't ping the management IP of the firewall/gateway. I've tried anything I can think of but I guess this is a little above my head. Could anyone point me in the right direction? How to set expiration date for external files? [closed]

I have a site included lots of external files, most of them are gif format. I have no control on the external files, but have to use them(with permission). When I check the site using Google Pagespeed, I got very low score(31) even though the page load is fast. One of the high priority suggestion is to leverage browser caching by setting an expiration date. However, all the files are on external links. I have already set the expiration date for local files.

Kerio group calendaring private/public functionality

We are considering a change of email servers and Kerio Connect is attractive. However, I am concerned about calendaring functionality. I found an old forum post that states the question well: "We want to create a single public calendar that everyone can see - using Windows XP/Outlook 2003/KOC 6.4.1. We want a way for people to put an entry in their own personal calendar and some how mark it so the entry auto add's or syncs with the public one. If an entry is private it wouldn't sync to the shared public calendar... Has anyone ever heard of a way to do this - in any way with any software?" This is a high priority feature, so if Kerio cannot do this, we may consider Exchange. Does Exchange provide functionality like that described?
