  You've seen it done on sites like basecamphq.com where you would have username.basecamphq.com I'm wanting to do a similar thing, any subdomain is routed through to the same index.php file. so username1.example.com will request /home/some/path/to/www (in here is index.php) and username2.example.com will request the same file I have it working locally, but my server uses cPanel. What would be your guess at the apache conifguration?

  I'm running windows 8.1 on Parallels 9 on Mac OS X 10.9.3 Mavericks. Before that I used to have VMWare and I could manage to install Intel Iris drivers for OpenCL SDK. But Parallels installs tools for virtualization I guess and in device manager I see Parallels Display Adapter (VDDM) instead of Intel Iris Graphics Processor. How can I see the device and be able to install latest Intel drivers so that I can Install Intel OpenCL SDK. Thank you.

• Load Balancer sftp persistence when a server goes offline

  Let's say we have the following scenario: We have two identical *nix servers using a shared filesystem. We connect through SFTP (not FTPS) to one of them to upload a file to the shared filesystem, the server goes offline and we get redirected to the second system which is still available. My question is, would there be any connection persistence or the user will have to relogin? I guess a relogin would be needed because the ssh sessions are not shared between the two systems... • Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid on IBM Thinkpad T41

  I tried to boot my T41 from a Ubuntu Lucid liveCD and it worried me. The white text on violet background had green pixels around it. After the splashscreen went away Ubuntu popped an alert that the installer had some errors and will now run live. The live system worked fine I guess... Did anybody experience such behaviour?

• What setting can cause a monitor to flicker under X11?

  I've been dinking with the xorg.conf file on my system and now when I try to start X I get a flickering effect and no usable image. I think (and this is just a guess) that it's a settings out of bound error of some kind but I don't know what setting. I'm almost completely sure that the hardware is good given that everything is brand new.and works just fine in text mode. Any ideas?

• Removed recipients number limitation still affects on Exchange 2003

  We have an Exchange 2003 cluster in wich we have limited the number of recipients in the past. We deleted it but it's still affecting our service. I have moved the services to the other node (it's an active/pasive cluster) so i guess i have restarted with this procedure the "Microsoft Exchange Information Store service" as is required to limit it (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996677(v=exchg.80).aspx). anyone have any idea why the limitation is not deleted?

  Is there a way to disable password policy in Windows Server 2008 using command prompt. I know how to do it using Local Security Policy in Administrative Tools. I was wondering if there is a way to change using command prompt. I guess there must be some registry settings that needs to be changed but I do not know which entry in registry will disable the password policy. • User directory in PATH in zsh: ~ Does Not Work

  I'm doing this in my .zshrc PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" and if I do echo $PATH it appears as the first thing in the path. Yet this directory isn't included in the executable path (nor for tab-completion). What am I doing wrong? ls ~/scripts shows the directory as expected. Edit: This works, though... I guess ~ doesn't work in the path? #PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" PATH="/Users/yar/scripts:$PATH"

  I've installed OpenSUSE on my server and want to set ssh to log every command, which is send to system over it. I've found this in my sshd_config: # Logging # obsoletes QuietMode and FascistLogging #SyslogFacility AUTH #LogLevel INFO I guess that both of those directives has to be uncommented, but I'd like to log every command, not only authorization (login/logout via SSH). I just want to know, if someone breaks into my system, what did he do.

  I just got a really good deal on two Intel Quad Core Xeon L5420 processors and I have access to other deals on bare IBM servers (case+motherboard, no processor/ram/hdd). How can I easily find out what server or motherboard models will be compatible with this processor? I am ideally looking for a dual-processor motherboard and I see that it is socket LGA771. • Able to connect to the net, but only through FF with proxies disabled.

  I guess I got a virus or something and it's screwing up my connections. I'm able to browse fine in Firefox with proxies disabled, but other than that I have no connection. Currently, I need to install a program, but it requires an internet connection, and it keeps running into connection errors - same problem the other day when trying to register a product I purchased. I usually can figure this stuff out, but this one has me baffled. Any help troubleshooting this would be much appreciated.

• How can I use the Chinese IME with a Dvorak layout?

  I use a Dvorak keyboard layout, controlled through the language bar "United States-Dvorak". I'm trying to use the Chinese IME (Simplified, Pinyin), but whenever I switch to that mode, the keys go back to QWERTY, so I can't type... Note: The OS is Windows 7, which has the new Pinyin IME. Edit: I wish I could put my SO rep up for a bounty here. :\ I guess 100 has to do for now.

  "# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time." my question is when and where the module loading job done? my first guess is some init scripts in /etc/init.d/ but grep got none. then i think it might be the init ramdisk, but after decompress it, i found conf/modules which is different with /etc/modules. any idea? thanx.
