  • NSTableView handling edititng cells correctly

    Hi All, I have an NSTableView working correctly except when I'm editing one of the table items. If the user is still in edit mode, and it presses the Sheet OK button, the tableiew doesn't update. How do I force the tableview to commit the changes when the user press the ok button (closesheet). Also, how do I handle the ESC Key to cancel the editing? Sorry if the questions looks absurd, but I've been only on developing on Mac for a month.

    I tried all this inside - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath 1.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; 2.cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; 3.cell.contentView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; It only responds to the 1st line and makes the background a translucent kind of black. What should I do to get 100% transparency?

    I currently have a GridPanel with the Ext.ux.RowEditor plugin. Four fields exist in the row editor: port, ip address, subnet and DHCP. If the DHCP field (checkbox) of the selected row is checked, I need to make the other three fields un-editable. I've been trying to perform this code when the beforeedit event is triggered, but to no avail... I've only found ways to make the entire column un-editable. My code so far: this.rowEditor.on({ scope: this, beforeedit: this.checkIfEditable }); checkIfEditable:function(rowEditor, rowIndex) { if(this.getStore().getAt(rowIndex).get('dhcp')) { // this function makes the entire column un-editable: this.getColumnModel().setEditable(2, false); // I want to make only the other three fields of the current row // uneditable. } } Please let me know if any clarification is needed.   • Drupal 6 / Views2 Grid style: whole cells link to nodes

    I have a Users page, which is simply a nicely styled grid (HTML table) of users. I'm displaying a few fields for each one, and both the name and the profile picture have been set to link to the user node. What is the best way to change it so that the whole cell (HTML td) links to the user node? Would you have to use javascript? I've looked into modifying the theme of the view (over-riding the Style output e.g. views-view-grid--users.tpl.php), but cant see an elegant way to get the URL of the user node. And I think you would have to use javascript anyway to turn a whole block element into a link.

    Hi, I have an NSArray which contains information from an RSS feed on dogs, such as [dog types], [dog age] and [dog size]. At the moment my UITableView simply displays each cell on each dog and within the cell lists [dog types], [dog age] and [dog size]. I want to be able to allow users of my app to "sort" this data based on the dog name, dog size or dog age when they press a UIButton in the top nav-bar. I'm struggling to work out how to filter the UITableView based on these factors, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Guys: I have problem with using dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier method. Whenever I use this one, one cell would display its own value and value that does not belong to it. This first and second images show the problem, while the third image shows the proper data.The problem seems to be caused by old value not being wiped off and the new value being added on top if it. Which seems very strange.

    The following code throws an InvalidOperationException with the above message and I don't understand why. My code calls the following method when the user may have made changes to the datagridview's underlying data source. The goal is to update the display with any changed data, and preserve the sort column and order. private void ReloadDataGridBindingListFromDatabase() { DataGridView dgv = myDataGridViewControl; DataGridViewColumn sortedColumn = dgv.SortedColumn; SortOrder sortOrder = dgv.SortOrder; //do stuff here to refresh dgv.DataSource if (sortedColumn != null) { //this line throws an exception sortedColumn.HeaderCell.SortGlyphDirection = sortOrder; } //etc. } Clearly, sortedColumn.HeaderCell is a cell that belongs to a DataGridView control.   • Word-wrap grid cells in Ext JS

    (This is not a question per se, I'm documenting a solution I found using Ext JS 3.1.0. But, feel free to answer if you know of a better solution!) The Column config for an Ext JS Grid object does not have a native way to allow word-wrapped text, but there is a css property to override the inline CSS of the TD elements created by the grid. Unfortunately, the TD elements contain a DIV element wrapping the content, and that DIV is set to white-space:nowrap by Ext JS's stylesheet, so overriding the TD CSS does no good. I added the following to my main CSS file, a simple fix that appears to not break any grid functionality, but allows any white-space setting I apply to the TD to pass through to the DIV. .x-grid3-cell { /* TD is defaulted to word-wrap. Turn it off so it can be turned on for specific columns. */ white-space:nowrap; } .x-grid3-cell-inner { /* Inherit DIV's white-space from TD parent, since DIV's inline style is not accessible in the column definition. */ white-space:inherit; } YMMV, but it works for me, wanted to get it out there as a solution since I couldn't find a working solution by searching the Interwebs.

    Hello! In my small application I have a DataGrid (see screenshot) that's bound to a list of Measurement objects. A Measurement is just a data container with two properties: Date and CounterGas (float). Each Measurement object represents my gas consumption at a specific date. The list of measurements is bound to the DataGrid as follows: <DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Measurements}" AutoGenerateColumns="False"> <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Date" Binding="{Binding Path=Date, StringFormat={}{0:dd.MM.yyyy}}" /> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Counter Gas" Binding="{Binding Path=ValueGas, StringFormat={}{0:F3}}" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid> Well, and now my question :) I'd like to have another column right next to the column "Counter Gas" which shows the difference between the actual counter value and the last counter value. E.g. this additional column should calculate the difference between the value of of Feb. 13th and Feb. 6th = 199.789 - 187.115 = 15.674 What is the best way to achieve this? I'd like to avoid any calculation in the Measurement class which should just hold the data. I'd rather more like the DataGrid to handle the calculation. So is there a way to add another column that just calculates the difference between to values? Maybe using some kind of converter and extreme binding? ;D P.S.: Maybe someone with a better reputation could embed the screenshot. Thanks :)

    I need to create a chat layout that uses all the available space and scales nicely, but has few fixed sizes. Here's the structure: <table style="width: 100%; height: 100%"> <tr> <td></td> <td style="width: 200px; background: red;"></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="height: 100px; background: blue"></td> <td></td> </tr> </table> However, I want to place a lot of content in the first table cell and I want it to scroll, so it won't expand the table. Is it possible to make it overflow properly, without having a fixed height for the cell? Simply adding overflow: auto doesn't seem to work. PS. I hate tables, but can't figure out a very clean and cross-browser way to do a layout like this with divs and css. If someone can come up with one, I'll gladly use it.

  • iPhone: Add background button to view when UITableView has no cells

    I have a UITableViewController, when there is no data to populate the UITableView, I want to add a button, which uses an image. So, rather than the user seeing a tableview with no records, they will see an image that says, "No records have been added, Tap to add one", then they click and we create a new one. I assumed I would just hide the UITableView, then create the button, but I never see the button.     I have a table called expenses. There are numerous columns but the ones involved in my php page are date, spplierinv, amount. I have created a page that lists all the expenses in a given month and totals it at the end. However, each row has a value, but many rows might be on the same supplier invoice.This means adding each row with the same supplierinv to get a total as per my bank statement. Is there anyway I can get a total for the rows based on the supplierinv. I mean say I have 10 rows. 5 on supplierinv 4, two on supplierinv 5 and 3 on supplierinv 12, how can a get 3 figures (inv 4, 5 and 12) and the grand total at the bottom. Many thanks

  • Locked visible cells Excel problem

    I have a problem with an Excel Template in Excel 2007. I need to remove a row from a summary report but the developer who created this report has somehow managed to set it so that only certain number of rows & columns are visible (in case you are interested it is A1:G30) - no headers, no grid, just blue nothingness. Deleting the offending line just peels back the white-ness. I want to change the resolution of the visible grid to A1:G29. I would ask on google but I haven't the foggiest what the tool would be called to do this (if I did I probably wouldn't be asking). Giving generic terms gives very generic results. I've been through every ribbon and came up blank. Help me out my misery - please!

    Using the variables extension, I want to change the background color of a cell in a table. So far I've done this: {{#vardefine:green|<span style="background:Green; color:White">text</span>}} The problem is that, when I add {{#var:green}} to the cell, only the text itself has a green background. Ideally, I want the whole cell to have a background color, like it does if I use this: | bgcolor="#ff00ff" | test or this | style="background:silver" |silver in the cell. Does anyone know how to solve this?
